The crown jewel of Palm Springs in its glory days was The Racquet Club. Built in 1934 by actors Charlie Farrell and Ralph Bellamy, it was a resort where A-list Hollywood celebrities like Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Marilyn Monroe came to play tennis, and socialize poolside while enjoying the privacy Palm Springs offered in a glamorous low-key setting. While The Racquet Club is long gone, you can still find that vibe today in the surrounding Racquet Club Estates neighborhood. The homes were designed by iconic Mid-Century Architects William Krisel and Dan Palmer in conjunction with The Alexander Construction Company. The Adler is just minutes from The Uptown Design District which has dozens of upscale and vintage shops, and cutting-edge restaurants all housed in gorgeous mid-century buildings. Another few minutes down the road and you are in the heart of Downtown Palm Springs.
Uber and Lyft operate in Palm Springs. Downtown Palm Springs is pedestrian-friendly, and the best area to walk is along Palm Canyon Drive. Bikes are also welcome and dedicated bike lanes and shared roadways run throughout the city.
Please note, this is NOT a party house. The neighborhood is on high alert and any hint of a party will bring the police and immediate guest eviction from the house.
Pool heating is optional and charged separately at $150.00 per day (Oct-May) and $100 per day (June-Sept). Please note that due to the rising costs of natural gas, these are actual costs to heat the pool (i.e. there is no upcharge). Spa heating is included with the house rental. Please note, while the spa is in use, the pool will not be heating. The heater will automatically switch back to the pool once you have finished with the spa.
We ask that you decide 48 hours in advance of your stay if you would like the pool heated. This way, the pool will be pre-heated and ready for your arrival. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate a heating request once you have checked in.
Family-friendly amenities are available by request: pack 'n play with mattress and linens, high chair, bibs, baby monitor, sound machine, books, and toys.
Celebrating a special occasion? Request add-on services:
1. Pre-stocking - groceries, champagne, etc
2. Cleaning during your stay
3. Massages, Sound Bath, Yoga, and Aura Photos brought to you at The Adler
4. Private Chef
Any outside vendors brought to the house (e.g. caterers, massage therapists, yoga instructors, etc..) will be required to provide Proof of Insurance.
