The Aoudad Cabin at Palo Duro

The Aoudad Cabin is a family-friendly, one-bedroom, one-bath cabin rental with a sleeping loft that can accommodate up to six people.

It is furnished with a queen-sized bed in the bedroom, a futon couch that folds out into a full-sized bed in the living room, and twin mattresses in the sleeping loft. It also has a sofa and Roku TV.

There is a bathroom with a shower, sink, and toilet, a kitchenette with a fridge, sink, microwave, and coffeemaker, and an outdoor deck with a gas grill. It has ample A/C and heating units.

Enjoy the spacious deck for grilling or stargazing.

Wonderful trip to Palo Duro

We had an amazing trip to Palo Duro canyon. The cabin is less than 2 miles from the park entrance and very convenient. It's a quiet area and we enjoyed our nightly visits from the longhorns and aoudad sheep who grazed just on the other side of the fence from our porch.

Perfect retreat location

The location is great. The place is well-kept, lots of nice amenities and touches. Easy check-in for novice VRBO-ers. Great location for hiking and nature then coming back to relax. Just perfect!

The cabin is small but gets the job done 1.5 miles from Palo Duro State Park, quiet and comfortable!

Very Close to Palo Duro Canyon

Right down the road from Palo Duro Canyon. About as close as you can get without camping in the canyon. Nice and quiet.

It was fine for the two of us, close to Canyon. Bill was very helpful and listened to Terry’s stories!! We did have trouble finding channels on Tv. But all in all was good👍

The perfect getaway

This property couldn’t have been better in my opinion. My daughter loved the loft, my dad slept on the futon, and my husband and I took the bed. Plenty of blankets and towels, the host was great with communication and made checkin a breeze. Absolutely pleased with our stay and highly recommend. You’re located very close to the canyon and just a short drive from town, very quiet property and really enjoyed watching the sunrise from our deck every morning.

Love this cabin

The Apudad cabin was a wonderful place to stay. It was isolated enough yet near people. We enjoyed the porch every morning and every evening. Our “neighbors” were longhorn cattle and kittens. Palo Duro Canyon is only 1.5 miles from the cabin and a beautiful place to visit.

Perfect spot to access Palo Duro Canyon

The cabin was perfect for my small family of 3. The loft was a good spot for my 19 year old son. The kitchen & grill were perfect for us to bring food to prepare as I knew ahead that there was a microwave, fridge & grill. Beautiful views from the deck of Canyon in the distance a mile away. I liked the owners laid back attitude about us not having to take out trash before we left. Most places these days charge a lot & expect you to do so much. I did leave the kitchen as we found it except for taking the trash out! The people before us must have failed to clean the coffee pot so that was unfortunate to have to do that before making our morning coffee. No big deal and everything else was great!

Cozy and peaceful

Myself and my five children fit comfortably into this charming, peaceful cabin! My children loved the sleeping loft, the futon was comfortable and the queen bedroom was a lovely haven. The owners have created a very cool, fun and stylish feel with the outside ambiance and a cozy, homey retreat indoors. We loved the view and breeze from our private porch. Check in was so easy, owners were responsive and helpful, and the cabin was impeccably clean and had everything we needed. Location to Palo Duro couldn’t be more ideal. We can’t wait to stay again!

Great location

The cabin was all we expected, clean, comfortable and fun! Can't beat the location less than 10 minutes to the park main entrance which makes it very convenient. Will definitely come back.

Aoudad was the cutest cabin!

Checked into a clean cabin WITH A SNACK BUCKET ON THE COUNTER! This was indeed worth booking and we’ll do it again when we go back to Colorado

Texas Musical Getaway

We enjoyed the cabin very much along with the scenic area, wildlife and longhorns. The price of the cabin was perfect but the add on fees were rediculous.

Aoudad cabin

If you're looking for simple, affordable, and convenient to the canyon it's a great place. Nice layout on the outside. There's a bunch of games around the place. It's right next door to a really neat little gift shop and convenience store.
