My wife and I have visited Aspen in January for over a decade. We normally stay in hotels in town. My brother and the property owner are friends and that's how we found out about the rental home.
We just left Aspen after a wonderful ten day stay. This beautiful home is located in the tony West End residential neighborhood, a short walk into downtown, a couple of blocks from the Main Street buses, and 1.5 blocks from the bus stop to Highlands, Buttermilk and Snowmass. The neighborhood itself is charming, quiet, and a delight to explore on foot.
The home is well represented by the online photos and completely met our expectations. We took the master bedroom/bath and during our stay friends and family joined in, occupying the remaining three bed/bath options. This worked very well because everyone had the option for privacy as desired.
The contempory kitchen, classic dining and living areas on the main floor have an open layout which we thoroughly enjoyed during the morning and evening when everyone was in and out for breakfast or cocktails. We usually dine in town for dinner, many great restaurants there, but the house layout enticed us to dine in several nights. It worked great for casual group dinners.
We and our guests raved about this lovely home and how delightful it was to stay there. We all plan to return in the fall!
Rental arrangements with the owner and house manager were professional, friendly, and designed for our enjoyment. A total win win. We highly recommend this property.
I have a few more words left so I'll also recommend these restaurants: Cache-Cache, Casa Tua, Brexi, Matsuhisa, Ellina, Ajax Tavern and Pine Creek Cookhouse. And of course the J Bar and Jimmy's. Our favorite ski mountain is Highlands.
To conclude, this home is warm and inviting, well laid out and maintained, and located in a great walking neighbor. Staying here with friends and family gave us an added richness to our Aspen ski adventure. We'll be back!
