Want a place to unwind, relax, enjoy nature and experience tranquility, serenity and peacefulness? Experience what our guests are repeatedly saying about their stay! Once you arrive you will not want to leave! This small gem is a newly constructed cozy 2 bedroom cabin nestled at the end of a long private gravel road, surrounded by trees and gently rolling farmland. Your very own private retreat!

Inside you'll experience a spacious living area for relaxing, playing games, reading, watching tv. Many games and movies are provided for your enjoyment as well as free Wi-Fi. A fully equipped kitchen is ready for those who enjoy cooking their own meals.

Awake in the mornings and be greeted by wild deer grazing in the fields; birds singing; and geese relaxing by the pond. Take a walk and enjoy picturesque views of the surrounding hills, sunrises, sunsets, pond, birds and other wildlife. Sit back and relax in a rocking chair or in a swing on one of the porches. There are also benches around the pond where you can watch the fish jump as well as the sun rays glittering on the water. Catch and release fishing is permitted in the pond. Wrap up your day sitting around the large fire pit that has plenty of seating for everyone.

Sundance Acres is located in the heart of bourbon country. Only 6 miles from the Bluegrass Parkway; 19 miles from Bardstown; 8 miles to historic Bloomfield; and 5 miles to Chowning Lane Boat Ramp on Taylorsville Lake. Located just 41 miles to Lexington's Blue Grass Airport and 46 miles to Louisville International Airport.

Great country cabin

The cabin in the property are both beautiful and extremely well kept. The owners are wonderful and truly care about the experience of their guests. They live nearby on the property so they are close if you need anything. However, they made sure that the cabin was well stocked even with snacks!

Absolutely Stunning Place

We truly loved our stay. It was just the perfect setting, and it was so close to everything. It was comfortable and inviting and felt like home away from home. We would recommend this place to anyone who visits Kentucky. We will definitely be back :)

Lovely Peaceful Cabin

This lovely cabin is located in such a beautiful spot. Rolling hills, woods, lake - it provided a space that I needed. I was able to get to Bardstown, Berheim Forrest, and the Jim Beam distillery while there. This home is SPOTLESSLY clean and the extra care and touches were wonderful. The hanging ferns, the potted mums, the hanging eye catchers and stained glass made this place feel so homey. I loved my stay there and will come back. Lori Jo and Ricky are excellent hosts and made everything so easy - I just had toneelax.ddefinitely come back.and

Fantastic place!

This place was fantastic! So quite, wonderful pond where my 4yr old grandson caught his first fish & many more, deer on multiple occasions, beautiful sky at night, took a telescope, central location for a lot of great distilleries, fantastic hosts. In other words, we loved it!

Amazing

The cabin was amazing. The pictures can’t do it justice. The interior of the cabin was gorgeous, the fire pit, pond and area were beautiful. The hosts were generous and provided easy and clear instructions. One of the best places we’ve stayed and highly recommend!

Cozy Cabin

The home was spotless And smelled wonderful. Great open layout. Awesome shower. The outside space was beautiful with porch swings to watch the sunrise on the front porch and sunset on the back porch. We really enjoyed the large fire pit.and appreciated the great seasoned wood supply as well as a fire starter. Can’t wait to come back.

Relaxing getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay last week. we enjoyed watching the deer & turkeys and other wildlife (we saw a skunk and many squirrels & birds). I enjoyed catching and releasing serval good size bass. The property is just described or maybe even better. It was also a pleasure meeting the owners and sharing stories together.

Perfect getaway

This property is beautiful! Every inch of the home was tastefully decorated, well appointed, and made us feel like we were in our home. Perfect location for exploring all things bourbon and thoroughbred race horses. Lori Jo and Ricky were excellent hosts. We had a wonderful time exploring Kentucky and celebrating a 65th birthday. Perfect getaway!

Private rural property exactly as pictured. Very clean, comfortable and well furnished. Has the best porch breezes, great sunsets and amazing bird watching. Worth a repeat.

A 10/10 - Gorgeous Surroundings & Welcoming Home

Sundance Acres was the perfect place to stay. I wish we could have stayed longer! It is such a secluded property with beautiful views at sunset. Sitting on the back porch and seeing all the beautiful birds fly up to the bird feeders was serene. We even saw a family of deer when we came back from dinner. The home was meticulous, so clean and well appointed. We also loved the ‘extras’ such as a few snacks and coffee pods. We have a boat at Taylorsville Lake, and it was only a 20-minute drive from the marina and such a pleasant place to retreat and call home for the night! I could not recommend this place more, and the hosts were so helpful with all questions! Will definitely be coming back for future trips. Thank you for sharing your home!

Such a wonderful cabin!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin was beautiful, clean and wonderfully appointed with everything needed for our weekend stay. Lori Jo and Ricky have done a wonderful job with this cabin. They are the perfect hosts! The bonus is having a quiet, private place that is only 30 mins from every ‘attraction’ we went to. We WILL return!

Home away from Home

The cabin is everything described in the listing. Very clean, inviting and well decorated. It was so peaceful sitting on the porch watching the wildlife and hearing the birds chirp while drinking your morning coffee. The owners were very nice and easy to work with. We would definitely recommend this cabin to friends and family. We were there exploring the Bourbon as a weekend getaway.

True to the pictures, this cabin is the perfect place to stay. We loved everything about it, the secluded area, the pond, and the porches! There are so many little details the owners thought of to make our stay the best, we hope to go back!

Like Home

This home was wonderful. Everything you could possibly need was provided down to tissues and snacks. There were lots of wildlife (birds especially) to look at, fish to catch in the pond and the beautiful surroundings. The home was decorated so beautifully. The layout was wonderful and spacious. We enjoyed the lights that came on at dusk at the pond and in the swing area at the edge of the woods. There was a fire pit with wood, chairs on both porches, swing on the back porch and swings in the yard. There were benches at the pond. We'd get up in the mornings, have coffee and breakfast on the back porch, then off to fish or sit and read or watch the birds. We thoroughly enjoyed staying here. It was so very peaceful and quiet. Lori Jo and RIcky are the perfect hosts ensuring every possible amenity was provided. They are wonderful people to talk with. We would highly recommend staying in this home. It was convenient to Louisville and Bardstown. We came to attend the 150th Kentucky Derby. We had an amazing time.

Best Anniversary Trip!!

We celebrated our first wedding anniversary here at Sundance Acres and it was truly magical. The kitchen and cabin is stocked with every utensil you can think of/need, the home is very clean, beds are comfortable and the shower is AMAZING. Not to mention, the property this cabin sits on is everything you will need and more to unwind and relax. Truly your home away from home. Lori Jo and Ricky are great hosts and were very responsive and accommodating. We even ended up catching 13 fish before we left. Thank you Lori Jo and Ricky for sharing your little piece of heaven with us. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better getaway with our son to celebrate. We will be back again, very very soon.

Weekend Getaway

We had an amazing time! It was the perfect quiet weekend getaway. We spent the day exploring Bardstown and hiking with giants at Bermheim Forest. We used the firepit every night. The house was very clean and very well stocked. We would absolutely stay here again!
