The house was compact but it worked out perfectly for myself and my college kid for a weekend visit. The host, Kathleen, was very attentive in communicating with us throughout the state, and extremely gracious and accommodating our needs.
This place was so quaint and cozy. It had every amenity that you would need. The beds were very comfortable. It was very convenient to downtown and everything else.
We loved our stay in Staunton. Quiet neighborhood and perfect for us. 4.5 miles from my son and family. Lovely little place and the park nearby was so sweet. Comfortable stay and great rest. Loved this place.
The duplex was clean and well maintained. The host, Kathleen was very responsive to questions. It was nice that there was a hair dryer and basic toiletries provided along with charging ports next to the bed. The sunlight peeks in the windows very early and had us up with the sun to start enjoying the days adventure.
We were in town for a conference so this unit met our needs.
One tip, the front door digital lock is a bit temperamental and could use some adjustment. It took several attempts to get the door open.
Property was close to downtown and was comfortable. The kitchen was fine for the limited breakfast and leftover warming we did during our short stay but was quite small and would be difficult if you wanted to cook some full meals. Nicely decorated.
The hostess Kathleen was very excellent. She helped me get settled in and provided anything that I needed for the apartment. The neighborhood was very quiet and friendly neighbors the apartment at everything that we needed. The town was very interesting with lots of things to do and excellent restaurants.
Our stay was comfortable and conveniently located for touring the UVA, JMU, and Mary Baldwin campuses. The property was immaculately clean, the neighborhood was quiet (but hilly in the extreme if you’re a walker/runner like we are, be prepared for some seriously steep climbs while you’re getting your steps in- they were amazing cardio!) and very cute. The bedrooms are cozy and all of the rooms are thoughtfully appointed. We especially loved that the kitchen is fully functional. We prefer to cook rather than go out and I had space and equipment to make a roast chicken and potatoes dinner with no problem. Rentals aren’t always this well set up for cooking so it’s worth mentioning. There was also a small patio out back with seating and a grill that is a really nice amenity. Parking was on-street right in front of the duplex and there was plenty of space, so no worries we’d come back to having to hunt for a parking space. The water pressure is good, the WiFi signal is strong, and the heating/cooling setup worked easily to keep us comfortable and not sharing air. Overall this was an ideal stay for us and we’ll absolutely book here again when we visit the area.
