Beorn's Cottage is a cozy 5-bedroom, 3-bath, 2,232 sq ft cabin in Chalet Village, perfectly located between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Hike in the Smokies or enjoy Pigeon Forge, then come back to the cabin to recharge and spend quality time together. With plenty of bedrooms and living areas on each floor, the cabin can comfortably accommodate families or groups of friends.
Come enjoy the Smokies in a beautiful three-level cabin that was built in the 80's and has been freshly updated. We know you will enjoy the brand-new kitchen! The cabin is over 40 years old and, though carefully maintained, it does show its age in places. Expect to find a cabin which has some loving wear, cozy cottage charm, and the comfort of modern amenities. As soon as you step inside, floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room give you an unobstructed view of the Smoky Mountains. You'll feel tucked away from the crowds and can enjoy the beautiful area in peace and quiet.
If you want to get out and do a full day of sightseeing, the cabin is only a short drive from both Pigeon Forge (about 15 min) and Gatlinburg (10-15 min). When the group starts getting hungry, eat at one of our favorite local spots, or you have everything you need to whip up a homemade meal in the fully equipped kitchen. The full-sized, stainless steel kitchen appliances and granite countertops provide the perfect workspace to cook for a group, large or small.
When it’s time to eat, pull up a chair at the main dining table, which seats at least 6. There is a highchair stored in one of the main level bedroom closets so the youngest guest always has a seat at the table.
The entire cabin is equipped with high-speed, fiber internet, for work or play. Head downstairs to use the pool table or hang out in the hot tub on the downstairs deck. Or, go upstairs to the loft and play a game of spades at the card table. You also have complimentary access to three Chalet Village clubhouses, with pools, tennis courts, and other amenities. The clubhouses are open between Memorial Day and Labor Day.

★ SANITIZATION ★
Heath, safety, and wellbeing of our guests are of utmost importance to us. For this reason, we use a thorough and extensive process of cleaning after each check-out. The hot tub is also fully sanitized between each guest.
★ CRITTERS ★
The cabin is treated for pests each month and thoroughly cleaned between guests. However, because the cabin is in the mountains, you may see some bugs, especially ladybugs, over the course of your stay. Please keep the doors and windows closed as much as possible to help keep the bugs out!
★ STEEP ROADS ★
Please be aware that the mountain road up to the cabin does get steep and windy in places. This is common for the mountain cabins in our area. The road is paved and two-lane the entire way to the cabin. In the winter, we recommend bringing a vehicle with 4 wheel drive.
★ BEARS ★
Because there are bears active in the area, please do not leave any food or trash outside. Do not approach bears or try to feed them. There is a bear-proof cage for trash at the entrance to the driveway. Please take all trash out to that cage and secure it closed.
★ SUPPLIES ★
A few things to consider prior to arrival. We provide the following supplies to get you through the first day or two:
- 6 rolls of toilet paper (2 rolls per bathroom)
- Travel size shampoo, conditioner, and 2 bars of soap in each bathroom
- 1 roll of paper towels
- Small Dawn liquid dish soap
- 2 dishwasher detergent pods
- 2 trash bags
- 2 laundry detergent pods
Things we recommend bringing or purchasing before driving up the mountain (not provided):
- Extra dishwasher tablets/liquid
- Extra laundry detergent if needed
- Insect repellent (spring/summer)
- Extra toilet paper
- Extra trash bags (all trash must be bagged)
- Coffee grounds or pods for Keurig. (There are usually several filters left by other guests)
- Bottled water if you prefer (cabin water is potable)
- A tank of propane (if you plan to use the grill). There is usually a tank at the cabin if you prefer to get a tank filled while you are here instead of purchasing a new tank.
