Benvenuti a Surf and Turf - dove le brezze tropicali e un campo da golf e vista sul mare vi delizieranno da ogni porta e finestra della nostra casa. Abbiamo tutto il necessario per una memorabile vacanza in famiglia o per una fuga con gli amici. Questa casa non fumatori è stato progettato con comfort e relax in mente!

Abbiamo quattro camere da letto (un master più basso al piano di sotto e master principale al piano superiore) ciascuna con bagno privato. Tre delle camere hanno accesso al portico o al ponte. Il bunkroom offre una divertente sistemazione per i bambini.

Il primo piano dispone di un soggiorno, sala da pranzo e cucina, oltre a due camere da letto con letti queen size e due bagni. L'ampio portico schermato si può accedere da porte scorrevoli in ogni camera da letto e il salotto e sala da pranzo. La cucina è completamente attrezzata con tutti i comfort e gli elettrodomestici.

La camera familiare è aperta alla cucina e include un televisore a schermo piatto da 50 ". Il tavolo della colazione può ospitare 10 o si può scegliere di cenare all'aperto sulla veranda protetta. La lavatrice / asciugatrice si trovano al primo piano per una facile discesa dalla spiaggia!

La camera da letto matrimoniale e bagno sono situate al piano superiore e offrono una splendida vista sull'oceano da un balcone privato. Un secondo portico fuori la camera da letto principale si affaccia sulla nona fairway del campo da golf Bald Head Island George Cobb progettato. Il bagno principale principale offre doppi lavandini e una doccia separata e una vasca da giardino. La camera a castello e il bagno offrono spazio per altri 4! Ci sono TV a schermo piatto in tutte le camere da letto.

Mettiamo a disposizione teli mare, tutte le lenzuola, la pulizia pre-arrivo e servizio internet wireless. I nostri ospiti hanno l'opportunità di acquistare un abbonamento temporaneo al Bald Head Island Club e / o al Shoals Club. Entrambi offrono un fitness club e piscina, oltre a opzioni informali e raffinate. Shoals offre anche l'accesso alla spiaggia.

Per notti tranquille, goditi una fantastica selezione di DVD, libri e giochi da tavolo. Surf and Turf è un due moto minuti o golf cart corsa al club Bald Head Island o la spiaggia.

Memorial Day Vacation

This house worked well for our two families that shared the house. The house is close to several beach accesses, and Bald Head Island Club. Our elementary school aged boys loved the bunk room. The patio off the master bedroom has a great sunset view. M

Good beach house!

Owners very attentive to needs. We enjoyed ourselves very much while there. Location is excellent. The oceanviews are only from upstairs master, downstairs golf view has trees but still very nice. House was stocked well with dishes, bikes, books, golf carts and movies! We were , comfortable and it looks recently redecorated. Thank youso much!

Great space to relax!

This is a very nice home that fit two families (4 adults, 5 kids) quite well. The outdoor spaces are very nice and allow you catch breezes off the water or watch the gators patrol the golf course. Bedrooms are nice and spacious, though the bunk room lacks a window. Owners were easy to work with and very responsive, though make sure you double check amenities with them before arrival. A number of things listed in the ad were not in the home when we arrived, but they did get them for us early in the week. Easy walk/drive to BHI club and "downtown," more of a drive if you prefer East Beach.

BHI Return Trip

First and foremost I have to say that the home was very spacious, well stocked, and within great distance to multiple beach accesses. We had a really great time on the island, and overall the place is beautiful and well situated. We did have a few issues and resolutions that might impact others’ stays. First issue was with the master shower early in the trip that unfortunately couldn’t be fixed until the end of the week. Meg and John answered our call and arranged for the plumbers to come. It couldn’t be fixed and ended up needing to be blocked off until parts arrived. We were given the option to have them come back and fix it shortly before we left but we opted to use other bathrooms to avoid having plumbers try to come back out while we were there. We didn’t get the check in email for some reason (could be on VRBO’s end) but we texted Meg once we realized the issue and she was very prompt with texting the code and let us know they were available for any other issues. I also think that the electricity was having issues because when we tried to use the floor air conditioner in the upstairs bunk rooms (which needed it because of holding heat) it would trip the electric. There were instructions on how to restart it on the fuse box, but it was definitely something that made us uncomfortable. Finally it seemed as though the house keeping service prior to our arrival didn’t do a very thorough job. There were wet towels in the washer and dryer, the floors turned socks black, and the sink in the downstairs bathroom was clogged with standing water. There was stuff there to clean up with and Meg offered to reimburse us for anything we needed to purchase to unclog the sink, but it was still not ideal. There were other small issues, but I think overall the house needs some updating to get on par with similar homes in the same price range. The owners were very kind and helpful, but of course would have preferred not to have the issues in the first place.

Great Location quite Cul-de-sac

House is in a great location, not far from the ferry and most importantly just a very short distance from the beach. The owner communicated promptly, property was just as described. Definitely recommend to stay here.

Great house

We really enjoyed this house. Perfect for our group of 2 adults, 4 teens age ranging 14-19. Kitchen is well stocked and updated. Very clean and comfortable! Perfect trip!

Great stay at 14 Water Thrush, Bald Head Island

The property is beautiful - gorgeous kitchen, comfortable bedrooms, and an enclosed porch along the back of the house, overlooking the golf course. The furnishings are very tasteful and the large master bedroom has two decks for watching the sun rise and set. The owners are welcoming and helped to make our stay the best ever. We highly recommend this house and making a visit to Bald Island Island.

An interesting time for family vacatiom

Were concerned about exterior maintenance... inside was great with good furnishings, kitchen, and bedrooms...up to date bicycles, carts and beach chairs....made it through a hurricane and tornados...enjoyed time with family ...food and restaurant availability not up to par due to virus. All in all a fun time given the circumstances.

Excellent Stay

This was the perfect spot for our family vacation this year. One of our favorite parts was the back screened-in porch (without access to ground) which ran the width of the house. Our kids loved being able to sit out there and we didn't have to worry about them venturing off. Close access to BHI Club and beach access, 2 great carts, modern finishes and a fun kids room with 2 bunks. There is a great view of the golf course off the Master porch which is also where the sun rises in the morning (not sure if you can see it I never got up to look but could see the orange light coming in, great way to wake up). We will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful stay at Surf & Turf. We've stayed at a dozen homes across BHI and this was one of our favorites. Wonderful location, great communication with the owner, beautiful home - we couldn't ask for me! Those back porch views are worth every penny. Thanks for a wonderful stay - we'll be back!

Great Stay at Bald Head

Our stay was great at Bald Head. The house has plenty of space and well laid out for our group of 8. The location is great, close to the beach, marina and the BHI Clubhouse. The owners are great with communication, very responsive and super helpful. The house was well equipped for cooking, beach towels, nice furniture, everything you need. Would stay here again.

Excellent home!

We lived our stay at the home! Very spacious! I think our favorite part was the screened in porch with enough seating to have our family for dinner! Close to beach access too! Will book this house again! Owners very attentive with any questions!

Bald Head Island is great. The house was not so good.

Surf and Turf has nice features but it was clear that the owners have it up for sale. We experienced many inconveniences due to lack of real maintenance- golf cart batteries are very old and don’t hold charge well,grill refused to stay lit,and broken plank on indoor stairs,plumbing leak in kitchen that we had to fix ourselves. Probably these things could have been resolved more easily if the owners were contactable but a week before our rental they informed us that they would be out of the country during our stay. The contact person on island was often unavailable and then felt she didn’t have the authority to do anything but patch up fixes. We rent around the country and have always had great times and we take care of owners homes as if they were our own. We can not recommend this home and wouldn’t rent it again.

Perfect layout for a family. Beautiful master suite and kids room (bunk beds and play table) upstairs and two mother-in-law suites downstairs. Privacy for everyone. Large wrap around screened porch for relaxing in early morning and evenings. House was well equipped with movies and games for all ages. Location was in walking distance to both beach and BHI club. Our family wanted for nothing. We will return.

Loved every minute of our stay!

We really enjoyed our stay here. This home is so welcoming that when you first arrive, you'll feel right at home. It has unbelievable views of both the ocean (sunset is incredible!) and of the golf course at the BHI club -- a sweeping, panoramic view that is really beautiful. We loved that the house was so clean, that the owners are accessible and wonderfully friendly, and that the house was exactly as described. Highly recommend.

It has it all! Great Place, Great View, Great Location!!!

Meg and John, you have such a lovely home. My wife and I have been coming to BHI for the past eight years and we absolutely and we fell in love with Surf and Turf on our last visit. The house, located on the 9th fairway, is just a stone’s throw away from the BHI clubhouse. The house offers excellent views of the fairway, BHI clubhouse, marsh creek (along with gators) off the backside, and a gorgeous view of the ocean from the master bedroom balcony on the front side. Even better than location is the house itself. We both fell in love with the huge screened in porch that runs along the entire back side and wraps part way around the right side of the house. Rocking chairs sit on a covered front porch that runs the length of the front of the house, beckoning you inside. Each morning and every evening we ate our meals on the back porch, and in the evenings we would open the sliding glass doors leading out to the wrap-around porch and let the night breeze blow though. The rooms are all very spacious and well decorated, the house was very clean, and the kitchen was well stocked. Now that we found Surf and Turf we plan on returning for years to come.

We love the beaches but we also find plenty of places on the island to explore, including the wonderful summer programs/camps for children. We are never ready to end our Bald Head Island vacations - the weeks fly by and we count the days until we return again. It is truly a special place for our family.
