Heron Hideaway - Lakefront Home with Mountain Views- Hot Tub
Plan your getaway at our peaceful house and enjoy all that lake living has to offer.
Located on Lake Champlain - a wonderful place to swim, fish, kayak, canoe or just grab a tube and float.
Sit on the deck overlooking the water enjoying your morning coffee or a well earned cocktail in the afternoon. Spend your evening sitting by the fire roasting marshmallows with family and friends.
Relax and soak in the hot tub while you take in views of the majestic Green Mountains of Vermont.
Located around an hour from Montreal, Burlington & the Adirondack Park - the possibilities for a fun day trip are endless. The house is within walking distance of the village of Rouses Point (or a very short drive) if you’d like to try a restaurant or take a quick shopping trip. The location is quiet since it backs up to Kings Bay Wildlife Management Area (you may get lucky and spot a bald eagle or osprey) and is on a private dead end road.
*Considerations: -A two-person canoe and sea kayak are available for use. You will want to bring life jackets in your size if you plan to use. -The shore is rocky so water shoes are highly recommended. -May not be well suited for some individuals with mobility issues since there are stairs in the house and down to the lake. -The water source is a private well and is treated through an injection system (you will hear the injector slightly downstairs when the pump turns on), but it is hard water so we recommend bringing drinking water. -Out of respect for the neighbors, we ask that noise be kept to a minimum after 10:00pm. - There is an exterior camera facing the driveway for security purposes. -Parking for 4 vehicles max.

We had a great time celebrating Fathers Day Weekend. Lovely views of the lake. Plenty of room for 3 young adult kids. Lots of good hiking in the area. Really enjoyed the hot tub and canoes/kayaks.
Beautiful views, quiet area, excellent customer service
I forgot to inform the owner we were bringing a toddler so a quick phone call and he brought a baby gate and high chair right over. Exceptional master bedroom and bath. Great stay!
We had such a good time staying here! The house had everything we needed. The sunrises each morning were incredible. Our 7 year old especially enjoyed using the laundry chute...it's the only time she's ever managed to put her dirty clothes in the right spot each night! Thanks for a great spring break spot for our little family!
6 of us had a 4 night stay over 4th of July weekend. It couldn’t have been any better. These hosts thought of everything. The house was immaculate. It had everything we needed. All agreed we would go again in a heartbeat.
We had a great family vacation! Everything is exactly as it states. Jerrod was easy to reach if we had any questions and responded right away. Our son was living his best life fishing, then swimming, and then floating in the tube we brought! He did that on repeat everyday! Our daughter just loved the hot tub! We definitely want to stay there again! Thank you Jerrod and Jess
This was a great place to get away with our kids. The dock, kayak and canoe made fishing a hit for our two little boys. We also loved cool nights in the hot tub overlooking the water. The stone pier a few feet down the road was also find for the kids to go fish from. Close restaurants and stores within 5-7 minutes made running errands easy. We also drive over to Vermont (bridge was minutes away) and enjoyed time there as well. Excellent layout of the home, loved the soaking tub and large shower upstairs. Genius laundry chute from second floor to laundry room made it easy to keep the house tidy.
This lakefront home was filled with rustic charm and totally met our needs for our family of 5. We rented as a home-base while attending the Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal, which was less than an hour drive, and it was a pleasure to come back to after busy days.
Beautiful view of the Lake. The house was fully stocked, including a case of water left available for us. Beds were very comfortable and we enjoyed the luxurious bathroom. Appreciated there were beach towels available and the hot tub was so very nice. We would definitely rent here again, and we were actually disappointed in some ways to have to leave this house to attend the race. This would be a great oasis to stay here for several days simply just to relax lakeside at the house. Five stars.
