We had a terrific stay and everything was great at Wolf Moon Lodge!! We brought a group of 7 to ski at Hatley Pointe and celebrate our 25th anniversary!! The house was perfect and we got to enjoy snow and beautiful sunsets from while there. We will certainly look at staying again in the future!!
We had the most incredible stay at the Wolf Moon Lodge. From the moment we arrived, the views took our breath away – every window framed a gorgeous scene of the mountains. The cabin itself is beautifully designed, blending rustic charm with modern comforts. It was immaculately clean and thoughtfully stocked with everything we could possibly need, making it feel like a true home away from home. We loved all the little details like labeled light switches and fireplace instructions that made it effortless to enjoy this beautiful cabin. The hot tub was such a treat, providing ultimate relaxation while surrounded by the serenity of nature. We spent hours enjoying the outdoor wood fireplace, roasting marshmallows, and just soaking in the peaceful atmosphere on the beautiful and spacious deck. The location was perfect – secluded enough for privacy, extremely close to Hatley Pointe for skiing and snowboarding, and yet close enough to Asheville for day trips to explore the town.Whether you’re seeking a romantic retreat, family getaway, or just a place to unwind, this cabin offers it all. The owners have clearly put a lot of care into making this space comfortable, inviting, and perfect for making lasting memories. We can’t wait to return! Highly recommend!
We booked this place for a girls trip and it was perfect! Everyone had their own room and bathroom. The beds were comfy. The entire place was CLEAN!!! The communication with the host was perfect!
We thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor space with the hot tub and fireplace.
Highly recommend!
Such a beautiful home with fantastic appointments! We were impressed with the beautiful sunsets as we sat in the hot tub on the upper deck! The number of bedrooms and bathrooms was perfect for eight women to share...so unusual to find for our annual trips! We were busy each day sightseeing the area and Asheville. The hosts were easily accessible with any and all questions we had and responded in a timely manner. They really wanted to make sure we had a great experience. We highly recommend this property and would not hesitate to return.
This was our first time staying here and I can’t say enough great things about it. The property had incredible views, home was beautiful inside and out, had everything we needed to feel like we were at home. Host was an excellent communicator. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a perfect place to stay.
We booking the entire cabin for 2 weeks, as our daughter, who lives in Mars Hill, was getting married. This place is huge. There are 5 bedrooms, each one with its own bathroom. The cabin had ample space for all 10 people to be comfortable and enjoy the large space. We were impressed with how clean and well-stocked the cabin was. And the view of the mountains was fantastic. We all really enjoyed staying at this property and would recommend it to everyone.
This is such a lovely property. The outdoor veranda became the heart of the house. We would gather there for coffee in the morning and drinks in the evening. The views were unforgettable and awe inspiring. Also, the house was plenty big enough to allow everyone their own space. Would definitely recommend this house as it exceeded all our expectations
The home had absolutely everything. We loved the outdoor space with plenty of seating and a fireplace and firepit outside. Having a separate bathroom for each bedroom is a great plus. We have stayed in Wolf Laurel every year for 7 years and this has been our favorite so far. We will make this our permanent vacation spot when visiting g the area. It couldn't have been any better.
Stacey was very communicative and went above and beyond to accommodate some last minute changes. We travel often and we were very impressed by this property. Large, extremely well-appointed and spectacular views! We would stay here again!!
From the moment we pulled in to the second we drove away, this home is fantastic! Very well stocked with everything we needed, pots, pans, silverware and even dishsoap.EVERYONE had a fantastic time with plenty of room to spread out yet be together. We couldn't have asked for a better home. Wi-fi worked great and we even watched the Stanley cup playoffs! The outdoor fireplace was a favorite and the kiddos loved their rooms. Everyone had their own bathrooms too! Our entire stay was simply perfect!
Our group of 11, 9 adults and 2 children, celebrated multiple birthdays here at this beautiful cabin! We so enjoyed our stay. So much room, everyone had their own space and the upstairs living area was nice and roomy. One of the cleanest and best stocked places I have ever stayed. I will say, multiple people in our group are notably picky about cleanliness and all were impressed! The covered deck we enjoyed immensely. Such a great outdoor space! And I will say it was one of the best VRBO experiences I have had also. Owners were so kind and helpful, every question I had was answered quickly. No outrageous demands or check out instructions. Just really refreshing to find a place that feels like home away from home and is beautiful too. Would def recommend to anyone.
Everything about this property is amazing. The hosts were very easy to deal with and there were no issues checking in or out.
The outdoor deck / fireplace / hot tub is where we spent most of our time relaxing and enjoying the mountain views. House is situated perfectly for watching the sunset every night.
The only small issue is that wifi/internet can be spotty, but given the location, that should be expected.
The house was very large, and a great fit for our mixed group of adults. The mix of bedrooms allowed everyone to have their own room and couples to share the king beds. A bit off the beaten path for our daily trips into Asheville, but great views you can only get when you go up a mountain. I would love to see the place after a snow!
We spent 2 weeks at Wolf Moon Lodge. We had our adult children and their spouses and fur babies join us for a quiet getaway. We booked with the intention of skiing Hatley Point 1 mile away but unfortunately it did not open as planned this ski season. There are a few other ski areas around but they are over a 90 minute drive to each. We shifted and decided to simplify and enjoy daily outdoor fires on the deck, smores, quality conversations, & gorgeous sunsets. We were blessed with a beautiful snow day with about 1.5” snowfall! We all enjoyed playing in that and sinking into the hot tub while it was a winter white day! We enjoyed a few trips into town for local bbq, pizza, coffee and nature trails with the pups. Indoors we played games, ate amazing home cooked meals and stayed cozy by the gas fireplace. We all had a wonderful time and would recommend to others (with 4wheel/AWD 😉). The owner was very accommodating, helpful and provides ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ service!
My friends and I (9 of us in total with 3 dogs) stayed at this location for 7 days. I have a lot i want to say here:
1. The owner of this property was beyond measure. She was so incredibly helpful before, during, and after our stay. I encounter a problem (weather related, not owner or property related) on my way to the property. The owner went so far out of her way to help us! She did not have to nor was she even in our location. However she worked tirelessly to get us out of a tricky situation out of kindness. We cannot express our gratitude enough. From our troubles, to an amazing welcome basket, to helping us leave...how can you possibly take care of someone so well when you're not even there?! Amazing!
2. The location. The priperty is simply gorgeous. Everything was clean, organized, beautiful environment, amazing rooms, comfortable beds, warm comforters, and cozy atmosphere.
3. Hospitality. The host was so hospitable. We had traveled down from NJ with the expectation of having to buy everything from a local store (condiments, shampoo, dish soap, etc) imagine our surprise to see that our host provided so much necesitites!
3. Fireplaces. The fireplaces made this trip so cozy and comfortable. Both the indoor and outdoor fireplaces privded a warm and cozy environment.
4. Hot tub. The hotub was amazing on a deck that overlookrd the mountains. It was incredibly relaxing and provided a great space for bonding with friends.
Beautiful property with quality furnishings and lots of amenities. Well equipped kitchen and big closets. The host was very helpful and accommodating. We all enjoyed our stay.
This cabin was the perfect find for our girls weekend! The sunset views were incredible! Everything we needed was in the cabin + more. Will keep on our list of places to stay next time we’re in Asheville! Thank you for sharing your place with us!
My friends and I wanted to get away for a quiet weekend in the mountains and this house was PERFECT. Not only is it the perfect size for our group, it had absolutely everything we needed for our weekend away. The space was clean and well-stocked with amazing comfortable beds. We spent most of our time enjoying the covered patio and fireplace (very helpful when a surprise cold front comes through!). We loved how quiet this slice of the mountains can be, but we were able to pop into Asheville for a fun afternoon trip. We would recommend this place to anyone!
This property was just what I was looking for. I hosted a fall themed yoga retreat here and it was perfect! Very clean, well stocked and a perfect layout. I love that each bedroom had an en suite and the additional mini kitchen and living area in the lower level was very convenient for those staying in the lower level. The covered porch is awesome and the views made the perfect spot to host yoga classes or have evening gatherings. The property was easy to get to via google maps (although I would be concerned getting into the lower level driveway is there is a chance of snow or ice). The host is AMAZING! She was very responsive (even though my VRBO app notifications were not coming through!) WIFI was a bit spotty but texts came through fine. Again, hosts were great, very accommodating and did whatever she could do to make our stay perfect. I would definitely host a retreat here again and give it a full 5 stars!

I have lived in the state of Florida for almost 25 years and have been happily marriage for over 20 years. In order to escape the heat and humidity during the summer, we have been vacationing in the North Carolina Mountains. Needless to say, we fell in love with the Asheville area. Our goal for the past 15 years has been to have a log cabin of our own. We saved and saved and searched and searched. We are super excited to finally own the cabin of our dreams! However, we are currently taking care of an elderly parent which limits are time to enjoy it. So we decided to open it up for Short term rentals to help offset the costs of owning a cabin. Now our future goal will be to be up there in the summer and holidays, but until then......Enjoy!!
Why they chose this property
Wow! Where do I start? Our favorite has to be the unbelievably long range, year around, multiply layer view of Blue Ridge mountains. Almost every room in the house has a view....even the basement level. The sunsets are truly amazing! We also love the peaceful and quiet setting of being secluded yet only 35-40 minutes to Asheville. The hot tub is perfect for relaxing on cool summer nights or warming up on cold winter nights. Sitting by the fire reading a book or just sipping coffee in the morning.
