It was a very beautiful place to stay, it was nice to unplug and get away for the weekend. Very clean and tidy cabin with a nice lot. Very nice patio/fire pit as well! We will definitely be back
very clean and well stocked cabin in a cool spot along side of black moshannon state park campground. We enjoyed our stay there. Internet availability would be a big boost to the property.
Stayed at this peaceful cabin in the woods, at the top of a foggy mountain! Has everything you need AND a lovely porch for rainy weekends. Lots of hiking and activity nearby. I’m telling all my friends about it!
Super cute little house in the woods. Everything you need is there. Only inconvenience is lack of cell service, which did not know could’ve been my bad not reading details. Will stay again.
Unfortunately, I did not read the entire description about being unplugged. Enjoyed it though cause my child and I got to watch DVDs and play uno. Cabin was very clean and in a nice location- only suggestion would be a land line for emergencies but overall great place to stay and enjoyed our trip a lot.
Very nice cabin, surroundings and location. Very clean and well stocked with blankets, kitchen supplies and towels. Owners stayed in touch and responded quickly when we had questions. Recommended and enjoyed.
Ed and the guys!
The house was perfect for us. Very clean. It rained a lot so we didn't get to enjoy the beautiful back yard but we were really only there for my mom and sisters to meet my new grandson. We have camped at the camp ground several times. It was nice not to have to drag the camper up this time.
Wonderful place to stay to unplug and relax. Cozy, private, and connects directly to Black Moshannon Park through a trail by the patio! We took our mountain bikes over to the park and enjoyed a long ride through the trails. Our favorite part of our stay was watching the hummingbirds on the back deck. Not a good place for cell phone reception or wifi but is a great place to enjoy nature and unwind!
My friend and I enjoyed our stay at the Cottage. We enjoyed sitting on the porch listening to the birds sing in the morning and watching the hummingbird come to the feeder. The weather was not the best but we were still able to have a campfire in the fire pit for two nights out of the three. Linda was prompt in answering our questions and texts we sent to her. We thank her and Rick for having the opportunity to stay at their cottage and hope to return in the near future.
Cozy little cottage. Enjoyed time around the fire pit, watching a rainstorm from wrap around porch and hiking through the woods. If you want to get away and enjoy nature, this rental is ideal. Do not expect wifi and do not expect spacious. Do expect clean, good communication, well stocked and adequate for 4 people. We loved it. Hope to return.
We had to attend my aunt's funeral. We had to travel on Christmas. This place was the perfect place to land. You are on the outside of Black Moshannon Park. It is a beautiful cottage and was very welcoming. Everything was perfect. My mother loved the wood work and said that the crocheted blankets were beautiful. If you want and need a peaceful stay in the woods this is it. Only one thing there is no cell or internet service here. There is a radio that was very nice. Thank you again for sharing your cottage.
A very strange rental. No batteries in the tv remote. We had to go buy our own, and the tv only gets about five over air channels, no Network channels. Toilet rocked when you sat down, and No Cell or WiFi! Fortunately we were out and about most of the time, but very annoying.
The place is nice and clean, but would have maybe chose a different location if we knew about the cell and WiFi issue. If you’re visiting with the goal of disconnecting and enjoying nature, this is a good choice.
Just make sure to bring your own batteries! If you’ve had a few adult beverages, make sure to hold on when using the bathroom, that rocking potty may throw you!
