Located in the Historic District of Beaufort at 131 CRAVEN STREET, you can park your vehicle for your stay and everything is within a 3 minute walk including The Beaufort Waterfront with transient yachts visiting from around the world, the NC Maritime Museum, the Beaufort Historic Grounds, Old Burying Grounds, 16 restaurants and quaint locally owned shops.

The Carriage House apartment has a full kitchen with cookware, a quaint bedroom with heart pine flooring, a Queen sized bed, and a flat screen HDTV. The completely remodeled bathroom has an updated shower with room for two. The cozy sitting room is a great place to relax and includes a flat screen HDTV. The screened in porch is a great place for breakfast or evening cocktails.

There are also charter services that offer parasailing, kayaking, bike rentals and ferry service to Shackelford Banks.

Great place to stay in Beaufort

The property is really perfect for a weekend in Beaufort. It’s walkable to the water, shops, and restaurants. The owners were helpful and kind. I’ll definitely be back.

Hidden Gem in Beaufort

Very charming with an ideal location to downtown Beaufort. Hosts were wonderful.., arrived late to the carriage house with the lights on for our arrival. It was a perfect get away- lovely accommodations, good food from restaurants.., can not wait to return!

Carriage House in Beaufort

The property was super clean and decorated beautifully. The hosts were super nice. The area was great to walk to shopping, dining and the waterfront. The Carriage House was tiny, but actually perfect for us. We were very comfortable there and enjoyed our stay. We are looking forward to coming back very soon!

Beautiful Beaufort getaway

The pictures don’t do this cute carriage house justice. It is within 5 minute walk of almost everything Beaufort offers. Great restaurants are even closer. For those dining in, the kitchen is fully equipped It is very lovely and lovingly decorated. We loved our time there. We visit Beaufort regularly and hope to be back soon!

Perfect stay

Friendly hosts, who were great communicators. Charming carriage house in perfect location. Home was well appointed. My stay would not have been the same if I stayed anywhere different. Home is in the heart of Beaufort, within walking distance of all popular attractions.

Cute, Clean & Comfy

Everything we needed for a relaxing long weekend. Walkable to all the shops, restaurants and bars in the historic area. We never needed our car. Also enjoyed the bikes provided by the host. Steve and his wife were extremely nice!

Perfect location in Beaufort

This was one of our favorite vacations! The Carriage House was beautifully appointed and had everything we needed. Steve and Gail were gracious hosts who recommended excellent restaurants and sites to visit. The apartment is within the historic district, and we were able to walk anywhere in Beaufort. We only moved the car to visit Fort Macon and the Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores. We definitely plan to make a return visit.

Walking the Waterfront

Amazing location just one block away from Front Street. We enjoyed walking to waterfront restaurants and shops. The gracious host also provided 2 bicycles and we rode around Beaufort daily. The Carriage House is cozy and the kitchen is well equipped to make a meal. We had everything we needed and the screen porch was perfect for morning coffee. Communication with the host, Steve, was excellent. We will definitely stay there again!

Sweet spot in historic district

Charming carriage house. Up the steps to a little hideaway with all you need. One block from everything and the waterfront. Owners are attentive and accommodating. Beaufort is a wonderful town to ramble around.

Perfect Getaway Location!

We had a peaceful and enjoyable stay at the Carriage House! Quiet location with private parking just a block from Front Street. The interior was immaculate and beautifully decorated. We enjoyed having coffee on the screened porch and watching and listening to the birds in the beautiful gardens.

Wonderful Stay

Thank you Steve and Gail, great hosts. The unique Carriage House is one that we will be back next year for our third stay. Only a 2-3 minute walk to Front Street and all the shops and restaurants in Beaufort.

Best of Beaufort!

Loved our stay in adorable carriage house. Perfect location, rock’s throw from Front St and 1 street over from Beaufort Grocery. Listened to the rain shower from the screened in porch. Admired the hardwood floors and loved the large, soft towels provided in the bathroom. We will definitely stay here again. Not one thing to complain about! Loved our stay. Owner was so friendly too. Didn’t want to leave!

Carriage House, Beaufort, NC

The Carriage House is in a great location, about a block from Front Street. We only had to get back in the car to go to the Piggly Wiggly to grab a few groceries. The rental was clean, comfortable and quiet. The host was friendly and respectful of privacy. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in beautiful Beaufort.

Best Host In Beaufort!

This unit is convenient to EVERTHING downtown Beaufort has to offer. Park your car and walk everywhere without having to fight for a public parking spot. Our host Steve is awesome. Unfortunately, we never got to meet his wife Gayle but are sure she is just as lovely. He's a great source for recreational activities as well as places to eat. They have several other properties in Beaufort so if this one isn't available for your requested dates check out his others. You won't be sorry.

Cozy Carriage House

We just got home from our trip to Beaufort NC. This carriage house was a wonderful place to stay. We parked the car and never had to move it. The accommodations were lovely. Perfect for 2 people. The owners were very welcoming and we even met some of their neighbors down the street. I would love to go back.

cozy cottage

We loved this little apartment in the carriage house. It was in a great location just a half block from the waterfront and in the middle of the historic district. The cottage had everything we needed except for food, which I wouldn't expect. The owner was a friendly and gracious host. As a fantastic bonus there were bikes available for us to ride giving me the opportunity to take an early morning ride! I would definitely go back the next time I'm in Beaufort.

The owners are Gail & Steve Bishop. We have lived in Beaufort for 20 years. We are the previous owners of a sailing charter business, Lookout Cruises, located on the Beaufort docks.

We had a long term renter in the carriage house who eventually purchased a home in Beaufort. We decided to completely remodel the historic structure so that we could have additional space for our children when they visit and rent the remaining weeks to couples in the hopes they will enjoy all that Beaufort has to offer.

We tell our friends who visit that once you arrive in Beaufort and park your car, you will not need it for a week. There are 16 fantastic restaurants within 2 blocks and lots of locally owned shops within a few minutes walk. The NC Maritime Museum with Blackbeard's Queen Anne's Revenge exhibit is around the corner. Other attractions include the Beaufort Historic Grounds, The Old Burying Grounds, historic homes tours and plenty of water activities.
