We enjoyed our stay, house was quirky and some of our visitors were uncomfortable with the cleanliness of the bedrooms but over all we had a great time enjoying the lake and the beach
Overall, great location. Close to city center and shops and restaurants. Did not use much of the amenities, but they were acceptable.
House is a bit older and needs some repairs, but fir the value, can't complain.
We went with our kids and grandkids. Everyone enjoyed the beautiful setting and the paddle board, kayak and paddle boat. We were also able to make s’mores for the kids at the fire pit. The owners were very helpful and accommodating. The house was very spacious, a little warm inside( we had some hot weather) but they did have fans. The deck is wonderful and we had a very nice time. We would book again!
This beautiful lakeside home was perfect for our family. There was plenty of room for everyone to be comfortable. The kitchen was well appointed with every dish, pot/pan, and utensils that we needed to prepare our meals. We used the pedal boat and kayak and appreciated that these amenities were available to us. One small downside was the jack hammer that started at 8:00 but they finished early and we didn’t let it spoil our fun. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and would book again.

Cheap Rich House
This house looked amazing on the online listing, but when we arrived it appeared to be a really nice house in the 80's and then has just sat there breaking down since. There are so many defects with the "repairs" that have been done on this place I can't even list them all. But I will note that everything basically worked except for the heating in the downstairs bedrooms. Pros: Great neighborhood, pretty cheap for the area, lake access, big living room with large windows overlooking the lake. Cons:We were provided with literally one hand towel in each bathroom.. ridiculous behavior by the cleaning staff with such a big house. (Giving them the benefit of doubt, maybe the cleaning staff just forgot to put out towels this time?) Downstairs bedrooms heating: One room was freezing cold with no heat and the other was sweltering with heat blowing all night. General lack of aesthetics and cleanliness. Things have been "glued" back together with all the wrong type of materials. Like if you asked your 10 year old to fix something and he grabbed his/her Elmer's glue to put it back together leaving the drips of the glue down the wall.. Not pretty. If you book this place just think of it as a really nice lake cabin then you won't be disappointed. This is not a mansion on a lake like all the other houses around it and ask for extra towels when you book or bring them with you if you're local. So overall not what we expected, but worked for our specific purpose.
Had ten family members in the house for the holidays. Plenty of room, gorgeous view of the lake. Super easy check in and out process, no overcomplicated cleanup requirements.
Great Lake location with a fun paddle boat and Kayak. Would not recommend for children under two as it is not baby proofed. Most concerning was the mold/mildew in the bottom floor primary room closet. The hosts were very communicative and were going to investigate/remedy. A very large house but not as clean as I would hope with areas blocked for safety issues.
First off the host was very tentative, and they do a fantastic job with making sure we were comfortable the entire week that we stayed here! The kitchen was perfect for family, entertaining and dinner, and the house was very spacious for all of us to have our own rooms, and the view of the lake was absolutely Beautiful from the backyard! Literally your own Beach!!😊
Would definitely recommend to stay here for any occasion! We will be back for sure!
Overall, the house was fine. Awesome location with easy access to I 90, restaurants, grocery stores, etc. Some issues to warn about: mildew smell throughout, no napkins or paper towels, no extra towels, dishwasher does not clean well, coffee pot is a K-Cup, found salt and pepper, but no other spices, so bring your own if your own. Finally found extra toilet paper in downstairs bathroom, which didn't help when the upstairs bathroom ran out. Great view of the lake as well as a couple of bald eagles that perched in the tree on the beach every morning.
Great location (but no fish in the lake!) We were hoping for a nice peaceful weekend but started with 2.5 hours of roof repairs Friday evening, a neighbor mowing their lawn at 7.30am Saturday and then a power cut Saturday afternoon and evening! The hosts were communicative and helpfully delivered blankets and candles. The only thing really in their control would be to repair the wobbly dining table and chairs - we had a couple of near misses with leg failures. Would still be willing to return for another visit.

Mixed feelings
We had family flying in from out of state to stay in this vrbo with us, and we had high hopes. Overall, it was a good experience. We loved the beach and the house was a good size for all of us. However! The house is older and it definitely shows. The bathrooms have visible mildew and the tile is peeling. The closet in the master bedroom smelled distinctly of mold which was too bad since a baby was sleeping in there. Also, we were absolutely dismayed about the shortage of/lack of basic supplies such as paper towels and foil. The host, while responsive, basically said “that’s all we supply”. So I guess my advice to you if you want to rent this house is to bring your own basic supplies. It kind of put a damper on our planned dinners and a bbq. Fortunately, the outside almost makes up for what is lacking inside.
Great space for larger groups, needs a good cleaning
The good:
Great property for larger groups. The open design in the living/kitchen area plus two couches, a large dining table, and a smaller 4-person table means it’s easy to cook, watch TV, and be together in one space.
The view is stunning, neighbors are quiet, and it’s only a mile from Costco.
There was a helpful manual with internet information and local hotspots. The owner was communicative.
Towels, cooking pots, eating/serving utensils, shampoos/soaps, and a large variety of bowls and dishes were provided.
The bad:
THERE’S NO A/C. Standing A/C units were provided, plentiful, and worked well.
Visible floors, countertops/surfaces, and toilets/showers were all clean. That’s about it.
One of the beds had clearly been slept in and not washed before our arrival. Some of the pillows smelled quite bad. Vents had months of built up dust. Some dishes had food build up on them because the dishwasher works poorly.
We moved one of the couches a few inches towards the TV and there was an absolute ton of crumbs and other trash (a plastic flosser - ew) on the floor under it. Fingerprint smudges and other small stains on the walls/doors. Screens were partially broken. Bathrooms smelled a bit like mildew. The house is large and beautiful but a bit dilapidated.
I would stay again, but only if the owner agreed to do a more thorough cleaning.
