Slaughter Beach Renovated 2023 Wonderful Views Beach Front, Fenced area for Pets

Delightful small beach house. Second year as a rental, lovely updates to entire house, comfortable furnishings and Bay views for miles! Fenced area for dogs.
We are Premier Hosts with other Vrbo properties here. Relax and enjoy the 14 miles or so open water of the Delaware Bay out your windows. Waterfront deck with picnic table with lots of seating. Watch the ships at night anchored out in the Bay with their lights on. Enjoy the balmy breezes.

So you know, we do not furnish sheets and towels but have them available as rentals. Also, we have a pet fee of $100 per pet and we have an enclosed area with 3 foot high fencing for them to do their business. We have dogs as members of our family. If you plan to bring a boat we would appreciate it if it is
on the smaller size as we just had another layer of gravel put on our driveway and heavy vehicles don't do well..

We have three properties here. A 4 bedroom house in Prime Hook Beach across the street from Delaware Bay with a fenced in yard and has a king size bed in one bedroom, VRBO 390480, a 3 bedroom house in Slaughter Beach across the street from the Bay with a king bed in one bedroom, VRBO 4486647 and this house.

Peace by the Beach

After a 2 week stay we hated to leave. The views are absolutely amazing. Enjoying coffee watching the sun rise and cocktails watching the sun set from the beautiful unobstructed view from the sunroom is something to experience. We spent most of our time in the sunroom reading and listening to music. Hudson, our dog, loved his own space outside as well. A 20 minute ride to town where you can find anything and everything. This house is well equiped, clean, comfortable, well decorated, and so peaceful. Ron was in constant communication and very attentive. Anyone looking to "get away from the hectic lifestyle" this is the place. We will be booking again as this has become our Happy Place! Thanks Ron and Ann for sharing and see you again soon!

A Gem With Stunning Views!

Clean, charming home with beautiful views of the bay and wetlands! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The pup loved her fenced in yard and we all enjoyed finding treasures.on the beach. Ron and Anne are great hosts. We highly recommend this property.

Moving in

We moved from SC to DE. We had a gap in time from our home in SC to having our home in DE ready for occupancy. We needed a home for the three of us, plus my mom’s chihuahua. We were beyond impressed with the home on the beach. It was about a 35 minute drive from our new home to there. It was so relaxing to come back to the beach after spending the day working at the new house. Looking out at that view just melted your cares away!We ran into an issue with our household goods being delayed a few days. We contacted the owner to see if it was possible to extend our stay; he accommodated us without an issue (thank God it was off season and no one else was renting for a few more days!)We would love to come back in warmer weather and enjoy the deck.Don’t hesitate staying here!

Great even in the winter!

Visited this lovely beach home in January as I am a PA student rotating at the local hospital. Hosts were extremely responsive to questions addressed concerns quickly. Allows dogs which is very important as I bring mine wherever I go! Views of the beach from the house are lovely, even with the 12in of snow we got while I was there. Definitely would recommend coming here any time of year, the beach view can't be beaten in any weather!

Wonderful

The owners Ron and Anne are the best of the best! They were so very helpful and their rental home is absolutely beautiful. My dog loved being able to sit on the deck and make his way down to the fenced in area without any issues. The view of the bay is so relaxing and peaceful. I enjoyed the quiet and spent time reading. I am not a tv person, but if you are, there is a hugh one in the living area and good sized in each bedroom. I would recommend anyone wanting a relaxing time in December, to check it out. I look forward to spending time again any chance I get.

Sunrises over the Bay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ron and Anne Anthony’s beautiful home with the million dollar view! Ron is the perfect host. He’s attentive when needed, but otherwise lets you enjoy your time. The place has everything you’ll need, the beds are very comfortable and the decor is warm and calming. Dogs are welcome and the setup for them is perfect. The location is great to get to things in Lewes/Rehoboth or Milton/Milford/Middletown, but mainly it’s perfect just to relax and enjoy the incredible peacefulness and beauty of the bay. We hope to be back!

Beautiful, pet friendly home in quiet scenic location

Our second stay this year - this beautiful, comfortable, well equipped home with a nice little yard for the pup is a gem. Very peaceful this time of year - the bay and marsh views are wonderful, as is the stargazing at night. It was an easy drive from the DC area, and for us this was a perfect place for a getaway/refresh. Owners are great communicators and very responsive.

Perfect house for pets!

If you have a dog that can go up and down steps, this is the place for you! You can let your dog out on the deck and that goes down the steps into a fenced in area.....very nice. The house had cleaning supplies....and a swiffer in case your fur baby had an accident. There were condiments in the fridge...paper towels...coffee. The house was clean and so close to the water. I had to reach out to the owners regarding trash day and they replied very quickly. Would recommend this place!

Beautiful Bay Home

My husband and I stayed at the house for a long weekend. Our 2 pups came and had a blast. The house and weather were absolutely perfect. The host, Ron, was very responsive. You couldn’t ask for a better location. I would highly recommend 503 Bay Ave and we hope to visit again soon!

Relaxing Vacation

We had a peaceful quiet stay at this “Beautiful” Beach house just what we were looking for! First time renters and all of our expectations were met! The hosts were wonderful and responded to any questions in a timely fashion, they were thoughtful in all the amendities offered. Our Chocolate Lab had so much fun we will be returning again! A cozy place to relax with my family

Great view. We enjoyed ocean sunrise in the family room or on the deck every day, and sunset on the other side of the house. Quiet neighborhood, convenient location, and beautiful views. It’s easy to get to Rehoboth Beach and the outlets. The owner was nice and very helpful if you need anything. Overall it was a good stay.

Like being at home

Anne and Ron are the best hosts! Their house is spotless with a gorgeous view. Ron is so helpful if you want to rent kayaks. We always know coming here will include a very clean house, comfortable beds, generous hosts, and a relaxing atmosphere. It’s a wonderful place.

Beautiful property on a quiet beach

This is a quiet community right on the beach. The house was clean and had many amenities. It was great for two couples to cook our own meals, play games, watch the boats and sunsets. The path to the very quiet beach and the two chairs beside the beach were great. We enjoyed the picnic table on the deck. We enjoyed riding our own bikes on the quiet streets. We would love to return again.

We loved this home.

This house was so lovely and artfully decorated. Everything was considered for comfort. The path to the beach was picturesque and short. Across the road is a beautiful salt water marsh. A 5 minute walk from the house takes you to a small boardwalk above the marsh. It is a quiet and peaceful place to watch birds and sunsets. We kayaked and paddle boarded during high tide on the sound side and also enjoyed some beach front swimming at Cape Henlopen State Park. The views are lovely from this home.

Perfect quiet getaway - lots of natural beauty

A perfect couples getaway. The area is so quiet and relaxing and the being right between the bay and the salt marsh was perfect for us. We are not big on swimming and the Delaware Bay, while not as inviting as the ocean beaches just south, more than made up for rocky shores with wonderful wildlife sightings, including a mass spawning if horseshoe crabs, terrapins roaming all over (including a momma who dug a nest and laid her eggs right next to the house), herons and even a pair of bald eagles at the beach. The house is comfortable and exceptionally well equipped and tastefully decorated, reflecting the experience and thoughtfulness of the owners. The recent updates to the property check pretty much every box, and owners are super responsive and focused a making your stay a great one. The place truly is pet friendly, and the idyllic setting allowed our somewhat nervous rescue dog to let his guard down and live his best life - sunning on the gated deck, prancing in the fenced yard, and joining us for morning walks on the beach. Plenty of good places to eat and shopping within 15 minutes (Milford) and a nice guide book in the house to get you started. But don’t shop before you see what the house has - such a collection of condiments, spices and even coffee and tea! I could say so much more but want to get this posted. 5 stars plus!

Bay View and Wildlife Perfection

We had an absolute fabulous week at this lovely house despite the less than ideal weather pattern. The view of the bay and wildlife keep us entertained for hours. We loved watching a bunch of rabbits play chase each day. Lots of pretty song birds. You have everything you need at this house and the owners are extrodinary. It was outstanding for my dog as well. Everyone in the area is so friendly. We loved the more remote location and when you want to do other things it is a short drive. We can not want to return.

Great stay!

A very cute house that was the perfect size for us, and it was even cuter than the pictures! The view of the ocean was spectacular. They also had a great small fenced in area that was perfect for our dogs, which made traveling with our pets so easy! The hosts were very kind and easy to contact. Would definitely recommend to anyone that wants a peaceful getaway and a break from the hustle and bustle.

This is a small beach town on the Delaware Bay. It offers a very different experience compared to the crowds at Rehobeth Beach and Ocean City. Low stress and relaxing come to mind.

Our house is on the beach. It has been fully updated with beautiful colors and comfortable furniture. We also offer a linen rental for $100 (sheets and towels) and kayak rental for $150 (two kayaks, paddles, safety vests). Thank you.
