LOOK at this fun, bright condo in the heart of Hilo, Hawaii for your next stay! Our Studio condo features a full kitchenette, full bathroom, balcony with lagoon views, and a flexible bed configuration (one King OR two Twins - default is one King). Central air conditioning is included! This licensed vacation rental is available for two guests.

We provide a stocked kitchen including coffee maker, range oven, apartment sized refrigerator with small freezer, small microwave, toaster, and all the dishes and utensils you'd need for cooking small meals. The bathroom has a bathtub with shower, toilet and sink. There is a small hall closet for hanging items. We supply pool towels as well as bath and bed linens. There is a shared laundry room (coin operated) on the same floor as the condo accessed by guests and residents only with a key.

Hilo Lagoon Centre condos are in the center of Hilo, Hawaii, an historic town with excellent restaurants, farmer's markets, art, culture, and live events to explore. We are also situated in walking distance to State and County buildings and provide a great space for work travelers. The condo building has a fabulous outdoor pool that you'll have access to, shared laundry room (coin operated) on the same floor as the unit, and 24 hour security. You'll have one parking space included in your stay rates.

Quiet hours are strictly 9pm to 8am and all House Rules be followed.

Perfect location and setup for us!

Great location in Hilo, walking distance to Ola brewpub and view of the park was right outside the balcony. Very responsive to our requests.

Good budget friendly stay

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: If you are looking for a good budget place to stay, this is it. Room was very clean and everything looks like the pictures. Stove, toaster and coffee maker is a place. Microwave may need a replacement soon. My husband, who is very picky about where he stays, said he would stay here again. It beats over paying at a hotel with no stove and dirty floors.

Sleepy business park with stunning lagoon views. Quiet neighborhood, great for vacation. A nice walk to downtown Hilo.

No question that the view is at the top of the list.

The condo itself is quite small and shows its age. It was very helpful to have the stores and the eating places within a short distance. I would probably not rent it again.

Quiet and comfortable

Pros..pretty view. Ac works great. Central location. Con’s.. older building. Very small dated bathroom. Coffee pot was dirty from previous renter.

great studio in a perfect location

The studio was perfectly located within walking distance of the beach and even downtown Hilo. It had everything we wanted and a great view out over the green area between the building and the ocean. There was a very good coffee shop (Just Cruisin Coffee) just five minutes walk away and lots of restaurants all within walking distance (up to 30 minutes walk). Overall, an ideal location in Hilo

Great Stay in Hilo!

I stayed here for 4 nights while traveling to Hilo for work. The property was perfect for my needs. Everything was clean and in good condition and the condos are centrally located. I would absolutely stay here again!

Great spot!

We enjoyed our stay at this cute unit. It was located in a great part of town and made it easy to get to everything. The unit was just how the pictures showed. The two things I was specifically looking for were a king size bed and a pool. The bed held up to my expectation but the pool was disapointing.The pictures showed a descent pool but we were never able to go in. Why would a unit remodel a pool in the peak season of travel to the island? The pool was a letdown. The unit though was great!

Great sleep, not generously appointed

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Room was quiet, bed was comfortable. We got the best sleep of our vacation in this space. The only complaint we had is that the space was not generously appointed at all - all that was provided for our first shower was the tiniest bottle of shampoo and the tiniest bar of soap I've ever seen - definitely not enough for two people. My main comment for the property management company is that this may not be the place to save money, as it has a real impact on (tired, traveling) customers and it's such a minimal expense to resolve it.

A nice room with a lovely view.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We especially loved the beautiful view of the lagoon and river, and the park surrounding it. The room was clean and tastefully decorated. The kitchenette was well stocked. The air conditioning unit worked well and was much appreciated. The large bed was very comfortable. The location was very central and it was easy to get around town, driving and walking.The bathroom had a few issues, one being that the tub floor was flaky and warn looking, and the drain was very slow. By pulling off the stopper, we saw that there was a big wad of hair clogging the stopper. We couldn’t pull it out, but we encourage the owners to do so. The water drained perfectly when the stopper was taken off. Also, the lighting was not sufficient in the bathroom. It would benefit from light over the medicine cabinet so guests can see their faces clearly while grooming.On windy days wind would blow under the door very loudly. We encourage the owners to put some kind of blockage at the bottom of the door like we saw on other units. We solved the problem by putting towels at the bottom of the door.The first impression when arriving at the building was not great. It seriously needs a paint job. It was a little embarrassing to be dropped off at the building by our friend one day.All that being said, we would definitely stay there again. In fact, we said that we would live in the building in a larger one bedroom unit, if given the opportunity.

We love the view from the balcony of the lagoon park area. The rooms were clean and tastefully decorated, and the kitchenette was stocked with everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable, and the air conditioning worked well, and was very much appreciated. The location was very central, which made it easy to get around town and walk to many locations. The bathroom had some issues, in that the lighting was very dim. We especially needed light above the medicine cabinet to be able to see our faces while grooming. The bottom of the tub was flaky and worn looking. Also, the drain was very slow, and when we pulled it off the stopper we could see that there was a big wad of hair stuck in it that we couldn’t pull out. The water drained perfectly with the plug taken off. We would encourage the owners to clean the hair out of the drain topper. At times, wind blew under the front door, quite loudly, but the problem was solved by putting towels along the bottom of the door which blocked the wind coming in from the hallway. The first impression driving up to the hotel is not great. It seriously needs a paint job. We were a little embarrassed to have friends drop us off there when returning one day. That all being said, we really enjoyed our stay, and would stay there again. We even said we would live there in a larger one bedroom apartment if we had the opportunity.

Some positives and some negatives

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo was conveniently located, quiet, clean and bug free. There were some problems. The keys attached for the pool and parking were not physically labeled on the keys and were mixed up probably by the previous renters. The pool key didn’t work even when the security guard tried it. Though we were out quite a bit the tv was not cable. You needed passwords to use, which I did not have with me, and what was available was pathetic. We lost the internet for several days. The manager gave me directions on how to reboot but not in person. I had to figure out which was the modem and which was the router. The mini kitchen was adequately supplied however the lightening all around was terrible. The bathtub did not drain and we had to plunge and paint was flaking off the bottom.

Great little stufio

My husband and I stayed for three nights, the studio is small but perfect for just two people, especially when being outside more of the time. The area around the apartment didn’t feel super safe at night time, but we were fine walking. Close to downtown and all within easy driving to the rocky beaches

The unit was as advertised. It was quite small. The only real negative was a lack of comfortable places to sit other than the bed. Exchange some of the little tables with a small loveseat.

Hilo Stay

The apartment was super cute, my husband and I had a great stay! It is quite small but if you’re out exploring a majority of the time and not planning on spending time inside then it’s not a problem! The building itself is outdated and smells like smoke but the aparwntment is very clean and updated. It’s also conveniently located near many beaches/lagoons, and downtown Hilo. It’s easy to find also being the tallest building in town. Overall we enjoyed our stay!!

Cute studio! Perfect location!

This studio was a perfect stay for 3 days in Hilo! Close to the volcano, waterfalls and beaches! Walking distance to some fun restaurants! Property management was great and easy to communicate with! Would stay again and recommend to friends s d family!

Perfect Downtown Hilo Getaway

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were thrilled to work with Saltwater Vacation Rentals to locate this adorable unit in the Hilo Lagoon Center for our short stay. It was beautifully decorated, very clean and super comfortable. The building has beautiful koi ponds, a pool and elevators for easy access. Its proximity to the vibrant downtown area, offering many restaurants, cafes, grocery stores and farmers market, was perfect for us. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend HLC 520 for future guests.

July 2023 Stay

This condo in Hilo is a great find! Affordable, neat as a pin, perfect location, and quiet. The kitchenette is tiny but well stocked for cooking or heating up restaurant leftovers. Nice bathroom. My hubs and I love staying in walking distance to restaurants (don’t miss local coffee at Just Cruisin). Bonus location for this place is the lagoons and park just outside! We loved having cocktails on the balcony overlooking the park before walking to dinner downtown. Nature and small city vibes is perfection to us. Check it out!
