Perfect waterfront getaway

What a great spot right on Coffee Pond, a quieter pond good for paddling, swimming or fishing. The house was immaculate with everything you need to be comfortable from the kitchen to the bath to the dock. Great communication and fantastic experience with the hosts.

wonderful stay!

Cottage was even better than the photos -- clean, well organized and the setting on Coffee Pond was perfect. My kids enjoyed swimming and diving off the raft, and we did lots of kayaking as a family. Great spot - thank you!

Coffee Pond review

Found this home/location to be magical. So peaceful and beautiful with all the trees, the water, the loons. Had coffee on the deck every morning. Cooked all our own meals in a kitchen that was well stocked. Great having kayaks and life jackets to use. Kids kayaked to small island one day and we did a lot of relaxing and reading on the dock as well as swimming. Owners very thoughtful and welcoming. We enjoyed our stay very much.

A perfect getaway at Coffee Pond

We spent a week in Casco at Coffee Pond. It was one of our best vacations. The house is beautiful and very well equipped with everything we needed. We spent most of our time out on the water, it was so clean and clear. We got plenty of use out of the wonderful canoe and kayaks provided. The location is so quiet. Very private with very little traffic on the road. Thank you Sheila and Kerry for sharing your home with us and being so responsive to our communication. We hope to return soon.

Perfect Family Retreat

My husband and I, along with our 18 and 21 year old daughters had a lovely week on Coffee Pond! The house was a perfect spot for relaxing, but also close enough to various outings when we wanted to get out and explore. Sheila was super responsive to all our questions. The house was immaculate and provided everything we needed. We took advantage of the kayaks, fire pit, horse shoes, darts, cards, etc. The pond was perfect for swimming, and we all loved the swim float. We've rented many lake houses, and it's clear that Sheila and Kerry truly care about the experience of their guests. When I accidentally left some clothes behind, they kindly packaged them and shipped them back to me in no time. If you are looking for a beautiful, relaxing vaction spot, we highly recommend this home!

Coffee pond-hidden gem!

We had a wonderful stay at coffee pond! We've rented numerous properties through Vrbo over the years and I think this one beats them all. The cottage was extremely clean and cozy-immediately felt like a home away from home. You can tell the owner's put much thought into all the little details that make one's stay extra special. There was nothing we needed or wished we had brought. They had it all covered. Communication with the owner's prior to the stay and during was exceptional. The property itself was beautiful-a peaceful, private setting, pristine water, deck overlooking the pond, and plenty of outdoor activities (i.e., kayaks, canoe, fire pit, corn hole boards). Our family of 4 (w/two teens) had a memorable week.

Private and Relaxing

The lake house was spotless and had everything that you could think of for supplies and amenities. We were amazed at the size, it was perfect for our group of 5 adults. We enjoyed the deck thoroughly from morning coffee to evening meals and relaxing. Even through the steps to the Pond were steep it was worth the trek. I believe we all were in better shape by the end of the week! The water front was lovely with easy access to the water. Fishing off the dock was easy and fun, most of the fish were small although on our last morning a huge large mouth Bass was caught. A perfect ending to a perfect week. Thank you Sheila and Kerry

Vacation at coffee pond

Loved the cottage and privacy. No surprises. Clear clean water for swimming. The floating dock was fun for jumping off and sunbathing. We tethered the children's kayak to ours so our grandson could learn to kayak. We hiked rattlesnake mountain and loved views of the lakes.

Great spot on a perfect, quiet, relaxing lake

We enjoyed our stay very much on Coffee Pond - a nice little lake tucked in the middle of a bunch of other very large lakes. This was just right for our family with a 10 and 12 year old who appreciated the crystal clear water to swim in, cozy bedrooms and firepit for s'mores. My wife and I loved how quiet the lake was and the convenience to the Naples Causeway to go out for a quick bite to eat, grab an ice cream and just walk around. Grocery stores, farm stands and little bakery shops are nearby - so you're really not to far from anything. The amenities in the house were perfect - very functional kitchen, nice Weber grill on the deck, wireless internet and TV for the kids at night, plenty of wood for the firepit and a brand new washer and dryer. But the lake is the real star...swimming and floating on rafts for hours on end every day, taking the kayaks out and not having to worry about speed boats and waves, and listening to the loons which were everywhere. I even brought my 14 foot fishing boat which I kept at the dock and took out just about every morning. Plenty of bass in the lake and I would say it is very under-fished. A small, but convenient and easy to use boat ramp is on the North side of the lake and just a 5 minute drive from the property. The property was clean and is exactly as it appears in the pictures. Sheila was super-responsive to any questions that we had up front and honestly, once we got there we didn't need to contact her at all. Highly recommend this property for a peaceful retreat to relax and re-charge!

Great place to R&R!

Stepping on the deck and seeing the beautiful view was the start of a great week on Coffee Pond. Sheila and Kerry so carefully and thoughtfully stocked and prepared their home to meet all their guests needs. Their efforts made for a relaxing, peaceful experience. We had a 3 and 6 year old who throughly loved all the toys in the basement, the floaties and kids kayak, and the space to run. The adult kayaks were great to use as was the dock and swimming pad. We would love to return to this lovely home and pond!

Awesome stay. Super clean and plenty to do.

My family and I stayed in this house for a week. We have 2 boys ages 14 and 10 and this was the exact type of house we were looking for while going to for some rest and relaxation in Maine. The owners are awesome with communication and making you feel welcome in the home. The house was super clean and is charming. The house has a bit of a cabin feel with wood paneling and handrails, but has modern touches like mostly newer appliances and newer windows that were easy to open and close. The kitchen is well stocked with cookware, cutlery, and dishware to feed large families and the large country sink makes clean up very easy. If you still need WiFi, there is a good connection along with cable TV if that is important. My older son quickly learned how the Google Chromecast worked. The house is also well stocked with good games and books. The bathroom is recently updated and really clean. There was a first aid kit and box or tools if any such need arises. Smoke alarms are all over the house, and there are fire extinguishers in key areas. The outside deck is beautiful and overlooks the pond below. My wife and I would sip on coffee on that deck in the morning looking at any activity on the pond or a regular visit from the hummingbirds coming to feed. There are binoculars left to view the loons on the water or chipmunks running around. The dock down below has some comfortable seating to hang out down at the water. Sometimes we just sat down on the dock or the large swing at the waterside. The water is crystal clear. The kids and I swam out to the floating dock and when we looked over the side, we could see the bottom of the pond that had to be at least 9 feet deep. The water in the house was clean well water. Although we filter water at home, we drank the cold water straight from the taps at this house. Poland Spring isn't that far from this house for good reason. The grill on the deck is a high quality Weber. The kayaks and canoe were good for family outings on the pond. If coming to this area we also highly recommend visiting Ogunquit beach about 45 minutes away...especially at low tide if you have kids that love the water. There are also some decent restaurants in the area and plenty of good ice cream spots. (The quality and choices of ice cream at "The Mosquito" was good.) Overall, our stay was excellent. We shared our experience in the house guestbook where other families left their stories and experiences as well. Thanks again!!

Adorable Contemporary Lake Front Cottage

Lovely property, well maintained and very clean cottage decorated in New England style with a cozy, homey feel. Beds very comfortable, great tasting well water, many extra's including well stocked kitchen and pantry. Lake water and area clean, with available use of 2 kayaks, 2 canoes, inner tubes, life vests, toys for children including fishing poles! Sheila and Kerry could not have been more helpful with recommendations of what to do, where to eat, where to see beautiful sunsets etc. We definitely will rent this home again, and recommend this cottage. We wish we lived closer

Wonderful, relaxing vacation in lakefront cottage

We had a wonderful, relaxing vacation in this beautiful, cozy lakefront cottage. The owner Sheila was wonderful to work with, very responsive and accommodating. The house itself was very clean and well-furnished - it is clear that the house is loved and well-cared for. The beds were very comfortable, kitchen well-equipped with modern appliances, cozy living room, convenient washer and dryer. One of the things that was most impressive was the considerateness and meticulous attention to detail by the owners to ensure that we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay, including a welcome basket. Some of the highlights included the incredible view of the lake from the deck, drinking coffee and enjoying meals on the deck, making smores over the firepit and sitting around the fire, kayaking and canoeing on Coffee Pond, the children’s playroom in the basement which was well-stocked with toys and games. The house was conveniently located for different activities, including the Maine Wildlife Park, beaches, hiking, grocery stores. We also took a day trip to Old Orchard Beach. This house was a true gem and we look forward to returning again in the future.

Heaven

This was our first time staying at this wonderful place. To sum it up, I kept saying "This is too good", and it was! The Sabella's home is wonderful! Cozy, clean and has everything you need. We spent a lot of time on the deck listening to Loons and watching Hummingbirds. Coffee Pond is indeed pristine! It was beyond relaxing, peaceful and wonderful! I needed to recharge and this is exactly what the doctor ordered! I can't wait for next year!! Thank you, Sheila and Kerry, for sharing your wonderful home!!

The most peaceful vacation spot...ever!

This was our second visit to Coffee Pond and this home in particular. Cannot recommend this relaxing and peaceful vacation enough. The lake (pond) is the perfect size to explore, get some exercise, catch some rays and fish! We had lots of luck with all of these things. The house itself is so perfectly and thoughtfully appointed, even down to the extra toothbrushes (which we took advantage of this year!). We truly feel like we are home when we are here and all of us were sad to see the week come to and end. I could go on all day, but a couple other highlights: we enjoyed the kayaks daily along with two paddleboards we rented ahead of time and had delivered (so easy!). We loved the view from Hacker's Hill and so enjoyed our trip to Seacoast adventure park for go-karts and mini-golf. Darts in the basement are a big hit too! As I mentioned, cannot recommend this spot enough!

The way life should be.

Wonderful in every way. Cabin is lovely, well laid out, comfortable, clean, and very peaceful. The hosts even put fine touch-points out to welcome us, including personalized notes and a tidy package of kindling to help build an outdoor S'mores fire. Loved it so much we are already booking next year.

A Hidden Gem in the Lakes Region

This was my family's second stay at Coffee Pond and it was even better than the first. The new owners, Sheila and Kerry, are very communicative and easy to deal with. Tucked at the end of a quiet dirt road that runs along the pond, we arrived to a clean and well-kept house that had been nicely updated since our stay the previous summer, including a renovated bathroom, a great walkway down to the pond, and all sorts of nice little touches and amenities inside, from the well-equipped kitchen to a bundle of kindling artfully tied with a welcome note. And soon after arriving I got a text from them ensuring we had arrived and that everything was OK. Much appreciated! Coffee Pond is a beautifully clean and clear body of water with minimal motorized boat traffic, which makes for a peaceful stay. The calling of the loons is a magical sound to hear and so quintessentially Maine. The house canoe and two kayaks combined with our own two kayaks ensured that we had enough personal watercraft to all go out paddling together - though I think my brother's favorite water experience was floating around in the sunshine on the truck inner tube that was also provided for our use! We learned about Hacker's Hill for viewing the sunset over the White Mountains in the house's guest book - it's only a few minutes drive away and a great way to end the day. We usually make a few forays out, to places like Bray's Brewpub in Naples, to have beers and dinner and listen to a band in the beer garden, but when the weather's nice it's not hard to just spend the entire day lazing around the pond and house! Total relaxation. We hope to return again next summer!

AMAZING!!!!!

This was our 5th year at the Coffee Pond house and we absolutely love it. The new owners have done an amazing job updating things, but have left the beautiful rustic feel to the house. Everything and I mean everything is at your fingertips. Blender, pans anything that you would expect in a home is here. The dock is so much fun for the kids to hang out/fish on while my husband and I bring a cooler out to the floating dock and hang out. A beautiful place to make family memories. So peaceful and quiet with only the loons making sounds in the night. The boys enjoy the great fishing. There is a cool little island that they kayak out to to scuba dive and fish. This home is the ultimate relaxation vacation. So close to major attractions too. Some places that we visit while on vacation include FunTown/Splashtown in Saco(great for the kids of any age), North Conway, Old Orchard Beach, The Kangamangus Highway for the many trails and beautiful views. Everything is within an hours drive. Our favorite place to be is on Coffee Pond :)

Well kept private location on beautiful lake!

Very relaxing, quite and comfortable stay. Fishing, kayaking, swimming and just sitting on the dock taking in the beautiful scenery. Got to see and hear the loons! That was awesome! The house was very accomodating with all the extra essentials needed. It was clean and all the comforts of home. If we are visiting Maine again, will definitely return here! We enjoyed going to Portland and the sightseeing tour of the Portland Harbor. We also made it to the outlets in Freeport. Our favorite restaurant was the Rustler Steakhouse. We also ate at the Black Bear Cafe, which was very good. The owners are very nice and personable. Got there late for check in so we didn't get to meet them, however, conversations with them made me feel very comfortable and their aim was to please. I would recommend this to friends and family! It was wonderful!

The Perfect Retreat: Beautiful View, Gorgeous Pond

My family and I had a lovely time here. The house is fully outfitted, adorably decorated and very clean. It is located right on the water, but on a incline so that when you look out from the deck or the large windows you almost feel like you are in a tree house- very neat! Although there are many attractions nearby (boating, hiking, shops, beach, entertainment) we spent most of the week on the property relaxing. The pond is gorgeous and much bigger than we expected, we went swimming, kayaking and canoeing almost everyday. When we did venture out we found some great hiking and we really liked a little gourmet food shop/cafe called The Good Life. Also check out the sunset view from Hackers Hill- 5 min drive. The owners were super friendly and very helpful, the wife is especially sweet. We will definitely be back- Can't recommend this place enough!
