Great home for family getaway including your pets

We had a wonderful time visiting Abingdon and seeing a play. The home was perfect for cooking meals together and watching basketball! I just wish my brothers had brought their dogs because it is a haven for your dogs!

You want to stay here.

The house was perfect. It’s clean, beautiful, and supplied with everything you need to hang out and relax, cook a full meal, and give your dogs plenty of exercise running around in the huge backyard. It’s walking distance to Main Street and close to restaurants, grocery, and everything rude you might need. We felt welcomed as soon as we arrived with the thoughtful gift baskets for both humans and dogs. Sandy and Dennis were very responsive and made the check-in/out process very easy.

Absolutely Amazing

This property is absolutely amazing. The care that was taken with all of the small details was so wonderful. The fenced in back yard was perfect and the dogs loved it. The interior is beautifully decorated from top to bottom and the inclusion of the original doors adds so much character. The hosts were absolutely awesome from the moment of booking until we returned home. If you ever have the occassion to go to Abingdon, Virginia and need a place to stay, we cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Great house for Virginia Creeper bikers and dog lovers.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The location is excellent with downtown Abingdon and the Abingdon terminus of the Virginia Creeper trail each about 1 mile away. The house was very clean, decorated well, and has been recently renovated. The large kitchen and dining area provided space for family gatherings. The spacious, fenced-in backyard and doggie doors allowed our dogs to have some freedom on vacation. We recommend this house and would stay here again.

Perfect!

We spent a weekend in Abingdon - 6 women celebrating a threshold birthday. This home is absolutely gorgeous, finely decorated and appointed, and the host was so accommodating. There was even a birthday surprise awaiting us in the kitchen when we arrived! Great location, quiet neighborhood - would definitely stay here again!

Originally from Arkansas, we live in Florida the majority of the year, spending 4-5 months here in beautiful Abingdon! We are huge dog lovers and currently have 3 dogs, Heidi, Daisy and Sam!

Why they chose this property

We love the proximity of being in downtown, close to everything a small town has to offer but also able to get quickly to additional retail and dining options. People are very friendly here and we also love our neighbors.

What makes this property unique

We bought this house because of the size of the yard in the downtown area and its potential. We've been renovating the home for the last 3 years and we love the transformation. It's an old home with some quirks but all the modern conveniences. There was a lot of head scratching and options to figure out how to best reconfigure the space, only the main level was living space when we bought it, but we've enjoyed the journey. It's a very comfortable space with a mix of new and old, family heirlooms, antiques and a splash (ok, a lot) of our personality! Adding the deck and expanding the outdoor space changed how we enjoy the yard, we have multiple spaces to enjoy the beautiful weather. We also know hosting dogs with a fully fenced yard is very rare. We welcome all dogs, any size and breed.
