House was double booked
Finally received a text message while on our flight from miami to georgetown after messaging the owner/host via vrbo because I had not gotten our check in instructions (red flag number 1). After landing in Georgetown, I received a message that stated our apologies but the house was double booked by mistake for 3 of our 6 day stay. The host offered another house supposedly similar and closed to where we would be staying, both were lies. I was given a link for directions to a house, when we got to the house was a dump, down a horrible, unsafe, and beat up road where dump trucks were driving up and down to a gravel pit. There were old cars, broken down furniture and the yard if you can call it that was all grown up around it. I wish I could post pictures on this review of whatwthe place looked like. The host kept messaging well...well... do you want it or not. Clearly we cancel and had no where to stay. We contacted Avie Nixon the owner via phone. He offered a refund and no apologies. My husband and I spent 5 hours going around the island looking and calling places for availability. A full day gone/wasted from our trip. We finally found a place, thank goodness for the people who helped from a social media page I follow. Please stay away from this place and this owner. This place had no reviews that should have been my second red flag. I wish I could give it a zero for customer service.
