My friends and I were looking for a rental for a girls weekend, and this was perfect! The location was so close to town that we were able to walk everywhere. The decor inside of the house was adorable, and we loved the outdoor porch. I definitely recommend staying here!
Killer Location, Great Communication, Peaceful stay!
My husband and I were in town for work, and invited my parents along (as they were class of ‘73 back in the day). The location was great for us all to be able to walk around and explore together- in fact, my dad had once lived just a few houses down, which was cool to experience together! The space is well-equipped and comfortable to make meals (which we did for half of our stay). Very clean, with thoughtful and personal details that made it feel more welcoming and comfortable than your average stark and boring hotel room. The only thing we all commented on were the need for a few lights that weren’t the overhead lights. Going with the decor of the property, even just a few small goodwill finds would fit right in! We ended up reading by headlamp in the evening because the overhead lighting in the bedroom was just a bit too harsh. Overall, we had a wonderful visit. The host was amazingly communicative as well, and very helpful with some confusion we had prior to booking (with the platform, not the property). Would absolutely stay again!
Pros: Cute space, walkable to local attractions, nice outdoor spaces in front and back.
Cons: Lighting in all rooms was very harsh. Couch was small and uncomfortable.
Absolutely loved our visit in this beautifully renovated apartment in this quaint older home… so comfy, fresh, private and quiet. The location is fabulous… just minutes walk to restaurants, trails, shops and the university.
Highly recommend and would happily return!
So grateful that our furry family member was welcome as well.
Thank you!
This property is very conveniently located near many shops, cafes, etc. (walkable- 5-10 mins) and a 15 minute drive to Mohonk Mountain House. We really enjoyed the proximity to so many great activities, including Water Street Market which is just steps away. We were allowed to check in early, which was much appreciated. Host was responsive. Most of the houses on the street are SUNY student-rented housing. Upstairs neighbors were considerate, but did sit on the shared front porch smoking weed, which blew in thru the open windows. Not a huge deal, but if that’s not the vibe you’re comfortable with, just be aware that the area is basically student rentals. The inside was clean and decor is aesthetically very nice. A handyman could stand to tighten up and adjust a few things. The outside needs some attention. Broken items in backyard, and garage doors open with trash spilling out. Would be easy to fix up. Items to bring: top sheets (only fitted sheets and pillowcases were provided), dustpan and broom, a few additional sets of bath towels, extra kitchen towel, fan, potholders. A good budget option in a good location!
This apartment is well maintained, beautifully decorated, and perfectly located to easily walk to all that New Paltz has to offer! Communication with our host was excellent. We would definitely stay here again!
The Blue Horizon is gorgeous , beautifully decorated and immaculate. Perfect location & communication with the host was simple. We would love to return on our next visit to New paltz
Cute, clean property with walkability in a great location! Easy check in. We loved the heated floors and towel rack in the bathroom. Kitchen was well stocked. Check this place out!
Blue Horizon was a perfect choice from which to explore New Paltz and the surrounding area. It's located within easy walking distance to the city center amenities. Parking is available in the driveway.
The kitchen is well-stocked with equipment if you wish to cook, but with so many delicious food options in town, it may get little use.
Communication with the friendly host family was very easy and self check-in a breeze.
When I return to New Paltz, I definitely hope to book Blue Horizon again.
We had a great stay at this rental. Our family went up from the Jersey Shore to tour the campus down the street. The location of this rental was perfect for both exploring the town and the campus. Everyone in our family loved shopping and getting dinner and breakfast in town. Interesting and friendly people and shops! The owner of this rental was very easy to communicate with and the place was just as we expected it to be on arrival. Highly recommend this rental!
Our stay at the Blue Horizon in New Paltz was perfect. It is exactly as described. It was walking distance to shops, restaurants and the rail trail. The home was updated, comfortable and clean. We didn’t cook, but it looked like the kitchen was well stocked if you wanted to cook. The owner responded quickly and provided clear instructions for check in. They were also very helpful with our questions about the area. Would love to stay again.
Cute little unit. They had a few extra touches like heated tile floors in the bathroom and a towel rack to warm your towels. The kitchen was nicely stocked with what you need. We enjoyed the pumpkin coffee. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. A short drive to other quant small towns like Beacon. Host was responsive. Only negative. Parking is on the street.
