The bed mattress were pretty rough on our backs.Our backs were so sore. The pool guy messed up the pool so last day kids didn't swim in it. Please replace bathroom faucets. Kids couldn't even wash their hands! New toilets that aren't down to floor would be a huge improvement House is cute and close to great places.

Quite enjoyable!

Wonderful location, convenient to stores, beach and local attractions. Mattress in master bedroom is pretty worn out and needs replaced and a privacy curtain in the living room would be nice. But quite adequate and we had a great stay.

Marathon stay

The house was in a neighborhood with quiet neighbors but down from a lumber yard with many large trucks rumbling by. Location was good for getting to restaurants and beaches and house was a little outdated but clean and stocked with most all you would need. The pool was great and we spent most of our time at home by the pool or in the screened in porch. I would recommend it if noise from airport and trucks doesn't bother you. It wasn't a big problem. We saw manatees and other wildlife right in the canal in our backyard which was fun.

Great getaway!

We had a great week here escaping the cold of the northeast! We rented a boat and had easy access to the ocean, loved cooling off in the pool each day, and we were even walking distance to stores and the aquarium. Thanks to the other reviews we knew there would be planes overheard but we enjoyed watching them during the day, and we also looked forward to seeing the manatees in the canal. It was a great trip and we would definitely stay again!

Great water access

Good location for access to the gulf and ocean for fishing, diving and gas. The house is dated but well appointed. The airport actually added To the interest. We thought it was cool to watch the planes and helicopters come and go while lounging in the pool.

Great house and location

This our first time renting a house in Marathon or even the Keys. The home was perfect for our family. Great location in middle of Marathon, clean cute house and deep water canal. The pool was perfect size the kids enjoyed it every day. Perfect location near a plaza with bagels, tackle shops, several restaurants in walking distance. Everything we needed was right here. While the two smaller rooms didn’t have a TV, we never needed one as by the time we hit the bed it was lights out. The kitchen had every utensil and pot and pan needed to cook a fresh catch of something from the store and the grill by the pool was nice as well. Even read a book that I enjoyed. Would stay here again anytime.

Manatee location

Great location to see manatees in canal. Niosy from planes and jets taking off from nearby airport. Noisy from transport trucks making deliveries to commercial sites across the street. Only 2 reclining lawn chairs need at least 4. Noisy from pool heater and AC unit being close to pool. Very clean house.

We were very happy with the home and everything about our Keys vacation. The location is great, the home is fully stocked, the canal worked out well for our PWC’s and the pool was great! Will definitely consider when we are in the area again.

Overall we were pleased with our accommodations. The kitchen was well stocked, the property and the facility was clean. Tucked in off the Gulf on a canal one block west of US1 was a safe place to keep our boat and very easy to get in and out, especially for the novice boater. Location was easy to get to both the Gulf or Atlantic. Plenty of room to park several vehicles and a boat trailer. i would say there would be room for 3 vehicles and two boat trailers if going as a group even with the onsite storage of the owners boat in the front yard. Pool, although a little small, was nice and sufficient for cooling off after a day on the water. We paid extra for the heater which kept the pool water comfortable while outside temperatures ranged from 70-82 degrees for the week. We would not hesitate to stay here again except that we would like to have a restroom on the first floor when coming in from the boat or enjoying the pool. There are two bathrooms on the second floor. Beds were comfortable to us. Living room furniture simple and clean, but probably due an upgrade in the near future. Couch has recliners on both ends but a little difficult to operate based on the handles being loose from the frame. Plenty of outdoor furniture at ground level and on the screened porch on the 2nd level. Bring portable chairs if you wish to enjoy the beaches nearby.... Overall was a simple and tasteful place to stay with easy access to everything you need. I would recommend this to others with maybe four adults and two children.

We enjoyed our stay except the rock hard master bed!

We enjoyed our stay the pool should have been ready upon arrival and the master bed was so hard we weren’t sure if the floor might have been a better option! We had a couple maintenance issues but they were taken care of immediately and the service people were very nice! Overall we would consider another stay!

Everything you needed is right at your fingertips, including fish cleaning station, hoses, and outdoor grill. Stores are close by, in case you have forgotten anything. Very clean, and well maintained. Enjoyed watching the manatees in the canal, and cooling off in the swimming pool. We enjoyed our stay very much and would love to return.

Keys Fisherman

This house is an excellent choice for the boater/fisherman. Located very close to Vaca Cut and public boat ramp, has deep water access for large boats. House is large and exactly as shown in pictures. Very clean & comfortable, the kitchen has a large selection of cooking utensils, dishes, glasses, cookware. Much more than we're found at other rentals. Pool is an added feature. Foyer was large enough to store our fishing rods, tackle boxes, etc. Has washer/dryer. Quiet neighborhood, lots of parking including room for boat trailer. We would definitely rent this home again. Everyone at Carribean Real Estate was very nice and helpful.
