Luxury Treehouse central Stowe/Waterbury. Borders State park. Walk to the Lake!
Enjoy the sounds of nature when you stay in this unique treehouse. Newly completed in the fall of 2023 by the DIY network featured "Treehouse Guys".
This cabin up on stilts and bordering one of Vermont's beautiful state parks. Views of the walkable Waterbury reservoir can be seen from its perch in the trees. "The Roost" aims for a balance of rustic meets sheik. With a tiled shower and heated flooring though out-one can feel like a kid again in the elegant and unique experience.
Guests will love the sounds of the birds from the back porch, while still being only minutes from all of Stowe and Waterbury attractions.
This cabin is really one large crafted room so best for a couple or couplkes and familys that do not mind sharing a small space. One queen bed on the bottom floor and and addition queen in the loft that can be reached by climbing up the "stick ladder." A cozy eating nook with ethernet fast wifi where one can spend their morning drinking coffee enjoying their views of the forest out to the lake whie a cozy gas fireplace keeps you warm or adds to the ambiance.
All the cookware needed is provided. Cook a delicious meal or just use the frenchpress to enjoy some of the provided locally roasted coffee. A two burner cooktop stove with beautiful hand crafted mugs, bowls and plates all help enhance the feel of this hand crafted getaway.
The bathroom has a tiled floor and tiled shower with heated flooring. The shower is small, but beautiful and a luxury as it is not easy to get water in and out of a treehouse in the Vermont winters! The small bathroom space is masterfully maximized for all ones needs up in the trees.
The large back porch sports excellent views and gives you the feeling of being nestled in to the trees. One has the option of moving the furniture to catch the afternoon sun, or stay nestled under the roof for a great dining experience during a the rain.
The treehouse is not visible from the road and is accessed by a short steep driveway. The driveway is only 100 feet long, but in the winter one should a 4 wheel drive or AWD vehicle and have winter tires and or chains. The rest of the year it is accesible by any vehicle.

We loved our stay in the woods. Loved the tree house design.
We love to stay in and cook and would only recommend a bit of cooking tools for visitors not as prepared as we are. We brought our travel supplies just in case.
We loved the biking available and enjoyed an art show.
Very sweet area and tree house.
This was a great spontaneous trip for my family. Right at the foot of Waterbury state park and 3 minutes away from Ben and Jerry's and Cold Hollow Cider mill, it is the perfect location for a family getaway.
It's is absolutely gorgeous inside, clean and cozy, with just the basics. No screens! (a benefit in my mind, with two young kids).
4 occupants is definitely the max I would suggest for this property and the amenities reflect that (4 of everything and no more.)
Would definitely stay here again.
We had so much fun staying in this unique tree house!! The property was incredibly clean and walking distance to the state park. It was perfect for a quick get-away for our family. I would recommend this place to anyone!
If you are looking for a creative, treehouse-type rental, this house is amazing! A+ for a unique house. Feels like you are staying right up in the trees, especially out on the deck. Location was ideal- 40 mins from Burlington, 10 mins from Stowe and lots do do in Waterbury. We loved the closeness to the park where there is a nature trail and kayak rentals- 2 minute walk. We saw loons on the reservoir! Lots to see in this area if you want to explore Vermont.
This is a unique property which made the stay all that much more enjoyable. The treehouse is very clean and comfortable. It has interesting features - someone had fun designing this little home.
Our family of 4 stayed here for MLK wknd and it was absolutely wonderful! It is an amazing space and perfect for a little family time and also very convenient to great restaurants, Stowe, skiing and Burlington! We will definitely be back!
We loved our stay in the treehouse. It had everything we needed and was cozy, clean, and comfortable. Peter was so helpful in answering any questions we needed and check-in/check-out was a breeze. We look forward to coming back for another stay.
This little treehouse is a work of art. So much detail and design has gone into making it such an amazing place to stay. So much privacy that you feel like it is just you and the birds. Make sure to walk to the end of the road and enjoy the beauty of the walking trails around the reservoir. Highly recommend!
