Outstading cabin and stay

The cabin was very clean and very nice, exactly as pictured. The location was great, right off the 108.The host was superb and very responsive. The property manager Barry who lives across the street was absolutely wonderful. We arrived right aftwr it snowed and Barry prepared the driveway, turned on the heatets before we came to that its comfortable. Kind and awesome person. The cabin itself is about a short drive to the leland snowplay area or the dodgeridge ski resort. There is a nice gas station within a couple of minutes drive which was another great thing. The cabin is equipped with books, DVDs, air hockey, windows on the roof and windows overlooking the forest and everything one would need to have a calm and peaceful retreat in the woods.

Lovely Cabin and Great Host

Alicia was extremely responsive from start to finish for our stay. She communicated quickly, answered questions, and cheerfully helped us every time we asked. The caretaker, Barry, was also friendly and helpful! The cabin is lovely and as described. We had everything we needed. We like to sled and we had a lot of fun sledding just down the highway at Pinecrest Lake. It’s a beautiful place!Alicia has guitars in the cabin and my husband taught our two kids how to play their first song on her short scale guitar. It will be a very special memory for us all. We did have a little trouble keeping the circuit from blowing when we used the space heaters, but we were able to figure it out and the instructions for resetting the circuit breaker are clear. We were plenty warm the whole stay. Thank you for sharing your cozy cabin with us!

Wonderful Getaway!

We had a fantastic stay at The Pinecrest Hideaway! It allowed my sister and I to reminisce (in person) our childhood memories of camping at Pinecrest Lake. From check-in to check-out everything went very smoothly. Very cozy and well kept cabin.

Clean and Cozy!

Such a cozy and cabin to get away from it all! We took our toddler to the snow for the first time and he loved it! The cabin's location is perfect! Neighborhood secluded and quiet and just a couple min drive away from the lake! I can't wait to bring the family up again for the summer!

About the host

Our family has been vacationing at Pinecrest since our kids were little. We live in San Francisco and own a restaurant. We know a thing or two about hospitality and love creating a family sanctuary at our vacation cabin in Cold Springs!

Why they chose this property

Cold Springs is 5 minutes to Pinecrest Lake and is a historic family vacation cabin community built in the 1960s surrounded by the Stanislaus National Forest on all sides. We love our quiet community, nestled away from the crowds, but close enough to all the area has to offer. We have a grocery/ gas station/ cell tower (pinecrest has no cell reception), pizza place, and hiking, skiing, and lake adventure all within a 5-10 minute drive.

What makes this property unique

Our cabin features 1,000 square feet of multilevel decks for relaxing, grilling, reading, and lounging in nature! Surrounded by pine trees, forest and night sky views, our cabin is an ideal Sierra retreat for families and small groups. Inside, we have a beautiful wood burning stove, modern cabin decor, a fully stocked kitchen, new appliances, and two living rooms. The upper living room is known as the "kids room" and features and air hockey table, and plenty of space for games and movie night. The spacious master bedroom features vaulted ceilings, skylights, and luxurious bamboo sheets. Our guests are always commenting on their great night of sleep! We also have beach gear (new beach chairs, towels, coolers) and sleds so that you can pack light when you come visit!
