We loved the view from the house. The house was clean and suited our needs. The beds were comfortable. We liked watching the cows nearby and the train didn’t bother us. We were close to all the things we planned to do.

Great stay

The accommodation was exactly as described communication with the owner was prompt and thorough. I would highly recommend this property to anybody that wants a relaxing stay in the Virginia countryside with fabulous views.

Perfect place for a stay in Luray :-)

We had a wonderful couple days at this rental. The owner is so helpful and the house is great. Lovely view and not far from the caverns.

Relaxed stay with amazing view

The house was very clean with everything we needed. The location is quiet with absolutely breathtaking view that pictures cannot tell. We had a very pleasant stay.

Charming house with gorgeous views

The cozy home was perfect for my girlfriends and I to get away for the weekend. The kitchen was furnished with everything we needed. The rooms were gorgeous and so comfortable. The 360 degree views were amazing and breathtaking.

Outstanding Trip

We had an amazing time staying here. House was very clean and had a ton of room. It felt like we were on a country estate! My three year old was beside himself watching the cows and the trains roll by. And top it all off with unbelievable views. We would come back here in a heartbeat!

Wow Place

A very very nice place. Huge space, both inside and outside. Nice view. We’ve loved cows and enjoyed the barbecue area. Would definitely come back for a longer time.

Home away from home

It was clean, quiet, and had a cell phone tower in or near the property- making my cell phone work better than it normally does. The host was easy to reach and extremely helpful. I had a very restful weekend.

Excellent weekend away

Extraordinarily clean, ample room and necessities. Great communication, easy check in/out. Cows in the back. Convenient and beautiful area. The only issue we had is we didn't realize train tracks were essentially in the backyard, they'll wake you 1-2x a night. Would stay again, though.

Wonderful home in a great location

Loved this large farmhouse setting on top of a picturesque hill. The home was immaculate and very comfortable. We had great communication with the owner, but had absolutely no issues that we needed help with because everything was great!

Awesome!

We absolutely loved our stay here! The location was perfect for visiting the caverns in the area. The house is beautifully and comfortably appointed, and the outdoor spaces were very relaxing. The cows grazing in the pasture and the occasional train rolling by made for an enjoyably idyllic retreat. We had no issues during our stay, and the host was very responsive and pleasant during the booking process. We look forward to staying here again.

Beautiful country home, located near all hiking and caverns

This home was one of the cleanest homes we have stayed in! And we are a very OCD family lol. It was centrally located between the caverns and hiking which accommodated all of our family. It is a very spacious home with room for people to sprawl out and the property is huge, there was plenty of room outside as well for activities. There was plenty of parking too since three groups of people were coming! Town, food, shopping and gas were very close as well. It was truly One of the most beautiful properties we have stayed at! Thank you so much for opening your home to us! We will definitely be booking again!

Amazing property!

My husband and I stayed 5 nights. Everything we needed had been provided. The home is lovely and filled with antiques, yet very comfortable. But what I enjoyed most were the views from the front porch! I was up before dawn each day to watch the sun rise over the mountains and I stayed up to watch the moon rise. The words beauty or amazing don't do enough to describe it. If this property was for sale, I would buy it immediately. We had a wonderful few days away and I thank the owner and the caretaker for it all. If you happen to be a plant lover, you'll love walking around looking at the different plants. I want to return sooner rather than later to continue my research in and around Shenandoah County and we will definitely book this property again.

Breathtaking views

The location where we stayed was beautiful. It was far enough away that you do not have any traffic noise from the city, but close enough and driving distance for meals and sightseeing. The host responded with any questions prior to our trip very quickly. Clear directions on how to find the location and check in. She was great about allowing us to check in an hour early. The home was very clean and had just about everything we needed. The furniture is dated and the smaller bed could use a new mattress but other than that, the home is perfect! We also were unable to have any heat (it was pretty cold once the sun went down), but when we reached out, they were very quick at trying to figure out what was wrong. As it was our last night, and already well into the evening, we decided not to have somebody come and look although the host offered. We assumed that it was just the start of the colder season And the heat had not yet been turned on. We would definitely recommend this location and this home. We are very thankful for a time there. It was definitely a much needed restful weekend away with some great friends and at a great location.

Fantastic Residence and exciting stay!

A house with breath-taking views from the front and wonderful coziness of the residence! The house is a treasure. So many places to spread out to relax - living room, conversation area off the formal dining room, sitting around the big table next to the kitchen, the converted garage which makes for a great place to watch tv or play games. The beds are comfy. The master bedroom has a private bathroom and walk-in closet. The other two bedrooms share the hall bathroom. There is also a half-bath off the laundry area. Your nearest neighbors are cows with their calves. Don't worry, they are quiet and fun to watch, especially if there are newborns (as with our visit). You are located between two entrances to the National Park, and a short drive to Luray Caverns. There are other caverns nearby, as well. Nice large refrigerator, with a supermarket about 3 miles up the road. We felt very comfortable and relaxed staying here. Before arriving, I had a few questions which I addressed to the owner via this website, and got respondes promptly. I stated our stay was exciting. This is because two cows gave birth while we were here, and it was wonderful seeing the new calves. Also, on our second night, an event center across the valley must have been celebrating something, because they shot of fireworks. So, we took our wine and crackers and sat on the front porch to enjoy them. Also note: if you are a runner or walker, there are plenty of backroads to roam. Highly recommend!
