Lovely vacation home. Close to town, pictured rocks and the beach. Nicely decorated and has everything you could want. Comfortable beds and just perfect all around. Will definitely book here again. Enjoyed our time in this amazing place.
Host was great to work with! VRBO was clean & well stocked with towels, dishes. VRBO had easy access to trails for SXS riding. Woulrecommend this VRBo.
The house was adorable outside and beautiful inside! Great location and house was well stocked and clean. The board games and fire pit were a huge hit! Wishing we could have stayed longer!
It was a beautiful home with comfortable bedrooms and and an absolutely gorgeous kitchen! The house was stocked with pantry and cleaning basics which was a huge plus! We loved having the beach so close and wished we could have stayed longer!
Our family really enjoyed our stay here. The location was perfect for our family getaway. This home was very clean. The host always responded to questions quickly. The beaches were beautiful. Just an hour drive to Pictured Rock Cruises. Sable Falls was very close. We would definitely recommend and would stay here again if we were to come back to the area.
Had a wonderful stay (Sept. 3-6). Fantastic time out hunting Yooperlites…very successful. Very nice home, all amenities were awesome. One slight inconvenience was that both bathrooms are on the main floor. Was fine for our party, as the adult kids were upstairs. Great location! Look forward to the next trip!
The house was well stocked although we didn't cook anything while there. All downtown restaurants, bars, shops were within walking distance which was great. Beach right across the road. Really wonderful location. Only bummer was that fireplace was not operational, but we weren't really there enough to use it. Had a fun time playing records on the player in the living room.
This was our first time to the area and about 1 mile from Sable falls. Enjoyed going over to Munising and exploring the area. The place was very clean and the lake was across the street in the campground which was very nice. The owner communicated with us during the stay which was helpful as the power was shut off for 8 hours but there was luckily a generator. Definitely would stay here again
A well appointed cottage and a good stopping off point
We had a short stay here in the midst of our Mackinac and U.P. trip. It was a great stopping off point for visiting the nearby waterfalls and the Pictured Rocks lakeshore. The cottage was very comfortable for our family of 4. Everything seems recently renovated and the kitchen was especially nice for the few meals that we ate in. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer!

House was very clean with all the amenities you would need. Bathrooms and showers were very nice. Lots of board games to choose from located in one of the upstairs bedroom cabinets and many videos in the cabinet below the tv. A 10 to 15 minute walk to town. Combo tennis pickle ball court on the way to town. Overall very satisfied with stay.

This home was exactly as listed. Very clean, fully stocked, great location and comfortable. We had one small issue with heat, and the host responded within MINUTES. They had our heat up and running in no time at all.
THANK YOU! We would consider this rental again in the future.
This property is just as listed. It is very nicely decorated with everything you need. We spent time down in the town, over on the lake shore all within walking distance of the house. The neighborhood is quiet even with the camp ground directly across the street. We would highly recommend this property.
This property was a fabulous Basecamp for our UP trip. Upon entering, you can immediately tell how well this property is taken care of. Modern, clean and stocked with everything you may need. Location cannot be beat with Lake Superior just to the North. The neighboring campground was very quiet and the amenities of Grand Marais are within minutes. Would not hesitate to book again when we return to GM.
The house was exactly as shown and described in the listing -- very modern and clean, and super comfortable. Would not hesitate to highly recommend this to anyone looking for a spot from which to explore the Pictured Rocks area. It is an easy walk to the beach along Lake Superior, which you can see from the front windows and porch. It's also very walkable to the town center of Grand Marais, where there are good options for coffee, meals and shops. The property manager was very responsive to any questions we had before and during our visit. Definitely give Le Chalet a try if you're thinking of a visit to the Upper Peninsula!
Our stay at Le Chalet was a great halfway point from Pictured Rocks and Tahquamenon Falls. Comfortable outdoor seating on the patio and deck. The kitchen was supplied with anything you’d need. The rooms were very comfortable for our family of six. The temperatures were unseasonably warm towards the end of our trip, so I would suggest bringing fans along with you for cooler sleeping in the upstairs rooms, just in case. We loved the easy access to the beach, which was basically a private beach area for us to enjoy the sunsets and search for Yooper rocks! There’s a campground across the street, but it was very quiet and peaceful! Make sure to check out the Dream Bean for a great cup of coffee just down the street.
Having never been to Lake Superior I wasn’t sure what I was truly looking for but THIS WAS IT! We wanted a comfortable place for our rock-hunting loving family of 3 that was as close as possible to the Lake with a good beach. Le Chalet exceeded our expectations in every way! We were out the front door and in the sand in less than 3 minutes. The beach was beautiful, full of rocks, and surprisingly not crowded at all! Plus the charming, quaint little town of Grand Marais is just a short, easy walk down the road. The house was amazing! Clean and nicely updated and decorated. We had everything we needed. We flew to the UP and The only thing We had to buy was a raft, a beach chair for my husband, and food/beverages. We had an amazing vacation and explored much of the Eastern UP while staying at Le Chalet! Thanks for such a great house!
We loved our trip to the area. You can literally walk into Pictured Rocks from the house. It was /july 4th weekend so the camp site was completely full - and loud (fireworks all 5 nights) - but we didn't mind. Just an FYI. Great people watching! The coffee shop just down the road is dreamy. And the ice cream shop too. Just an idyllic little town. Lots of stairs down to the water which was fine for us. Sunsets were spectacular! The house was great. Both bathrooms are downstairs and 2 of the bedrooms are upstairs so if you have a big group that might be an inconvenience - it was fine for us. The kitchen was perfect. The front porch was lovely. Really a wonderful place for my husband and I to get away. No cell access outside of the wifi which again we loved - a real break from the world. Lovely all the way around. The hiking and kayaking in pictured rocks is spectacular. Absolutely worth the trip.
