In the city but away from the crowds

Exactly what I needed... Close to a concentration of restaurants and sights but tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. Would recommend and book again next time I'm in the city

Great place for a family reunion, nice location to downtown LA.

Family trip to explore Hollywood/LA. This was a great location and offered easy neighborhood restaurants and groceries. The 5th bedroom is in a converted garage that was quite musty smelling and not in as good of repair/upkeep as the main house. Main house could use some refreshing of baseboards and fix-up. Cleaners could pay more attention to the bathrooms. The owner was informed and said they would take care of these concerns. They were also very helpful with arranging for a forgotten item to get returned to us.

Great Location, Clean Comfortable House, Great Owner Communication

We stayed here for 10 nights. It was a great home base for our excursions throughout the So Cal region for our daughter's college campus tours. The house is spacious and comfortable, and its a perfect westside location for easy access to shopping, restaurants, etc. in addition to being central to drives as far south as San Diego and as far north as Santa Barbara. Joespeh was a great host who helped make the booking process as smooth as possible and even offered recommendations for neighborhood restaurants. We look forward to staying here again when we have more time to relax and enjoy our favorite west side spots!

Great Location But Disappointing Rental Experience

We have been very pleased with many VRBO properties over the years, but we were very disappointed by our experience with this home in Los Angeles. We hope the owners will take our comments constructively.There were not enough towels, and despite our request for additional towels to the property manager, we received no response. The listing described five bedrooms and four bathrooms but did not mention that one bedroom and bathroom were located outside, attached to the garage. This ADU was cold, dark, damp, smelled of mildew, and had no visible thermostat, making it uninhabitable for our family members.The listing also failed to clarify that the two upstairs bedrooms share a Jack-and-Jill bathroom, which would have been helpful to know in advance.Additionally, the home lacked basic provisions like coffee, tea, sugar, or condiments. There were no extra blankets, pillows, or instructions for adjusting the thermostat. Lightbulbs in one bathroom were burned out, and the property manager did not respond to our request for replacements.There was no welcome letter or loose leaf notebook with instructions about how to use the TV remotes and other pertinent information. On a positive note, the location was excellent, and the property has great potential. With clearer descriptions, better communication, and more attention to detail, this home could be a wonderful rental. We hope these issues are addressed for future guests.
