About this property

The Mainelander Tiny House Near Acadia Pet Friendly

The Mainelander is located in the Schoodic Peninsula area which is right across the bay from Bar Harbor. Also nearby is our favorite sleepy fishing village Winter Harbor with great places to eat. There is no shortage of hiking and exploring in the area. Walk down our deeded access trail to Jones Pond for swimming, fishing and kayaking. Enjoy some peace and quiet in the private outdoor clawfoot tub, or roast s'mores around the fire pit under the stars. We are close to the Schoodic portion of Acadia National Park. Don’t forget to grab a lobster roll at one of the local lobster shacks off HWY 1. With Ellsworth, Bar Harbor, Winter Harbor and the coast nearby, restaurants and unique shops are plentiful. Keep in mind this is a tiny house so space and head hight are limited in loft bedrooms.

Amazing weekend in Acadia Woods!

We had an amazing time staying in the Tiny house in Gouldsboro. We toured and hiked the Schoodic Peninsula, drove down to Bar Harbor, and finished the day off with dinner in Winter Harbor before coming home to our cat waiting for us in the Tiny House. We loved it!

Perfect location

We stayed in this location while we visited Acadia. Location was perfect. Watch sunset at Schoodic Point. We hiked to the pond daily. Just lovely. Way more room than you would expect in a tiny house. It is a dog friendly place but there was a lot of left over dog hair overall Great stay

snugger than a bug in a rug

Wildlife was visible around the property. Turkeys were hanging around. I was the right size to enjoy this property, but my husband had more trouble getting in and out of the sleeping area. Beds were a little tricky to maneuver in and out of. We enjoyed the smart home features and the fire pit. Wished we had time to enjoy the kayaks and the pond.

Well designed tiny home

Very cute and well designed tiny home. It has everything you need to stay there for a few days. A little too small for 3 adults (family) and 2 dogs but that is personal preference. The check-in and door lock system I really liked. I felt very secure.
