INITIAL SUPPLIES - UPON ARRIVAL
Panhandle Getaways furnishes a few essential items for guests to utilize until they can get to the grocery store. Initial Supplies include: Dishwasher soap, small washing machine powder, each bathroom has amenities (like hotel but NOT restocked) shampoo, conditioner, soap bar. One roll of toilet paper in each bathroom & one paper towel roll in the kitchen. All bed linens & towels are provided. We encourage guests to bring beach towels for use at the beach.

Warning - Do not rent!!!

Panhandle Getaway and the owner of this unit are very dishonest. When we arrived the air conditioner upstairs and downstairs were not working. They had brought in a window unit for downstairs and fans for upstairs. Our unit downstairs never got under 80 and the one upstairs read 85 the whole time. When we called about this, Stacey, the maintenance director, promised for three days to send someone out. She never did because obviously they knew it was not working. They said they told us upfront the unit could get warm in the summer months. I don't think anyone would classify 85 degrees as warm. As my husband looked at the unit he noticed it had a lot of dust and it was obvious it had not been working for awhile. Karen, the operations manger, told me the only thing she would do is let us leave early and get a refund. She said finding another unit for us to move to was not an option. We did have to leave early. Once home, I have tried for two weeks to get in touch with anyone who can help with our refund. NO ONE will return my call. DO NOT rent from this unit or Panhandle Getaway. The other units at Cabana Club are not managed by Panhandle.

HOT!!!!

From the time we got there the upstairs never got below 87*, the upstairs was pretty much useless. The advertising of property of all amenities was completely wrong. No pool with swim up bar, no golf carts. To sleep 10 comfortably we had to move all 6 of the twin mattresses from up stairs to down in the living area. Had to put all the babies in one room which was the master bedroom because it was the only place cool enough for them not to sleep. The advertisement said sleeps 12 4 bedrooms 3 bath the upstairs rooms never got below 90*

Uncomfortable hot unit/ Ac not working but has a nice view of the ocean.

This unit has an obvious central air system issue. Upon arrival the front entrance was extremely hot. The indoor temperature was reading 88 degrees. I thought this was because the housekeepers set the air temperature up high so I lowered the temperature down. The unit never cooled it stayed around 77 degrees the entire time. Upstairs part of the unit was very hot and uncomfortable for my kids and other guess. I should have known that this was going to be an issue because there was multiple portable fans throughout the unit and there was also 3 portable air conditioners downstairs that were attached to the windows. When I sent out a message regarding the issue I was advised not to lower the ac below 70 degrees because the ac unit will freeze up and I was also told that they provided us with several fans to help cool the unit down. They also gave us an excuse that this is normal for the months of May - August because they are hotter months and that the room had multiple windows. We were also provided a pool gate access code and there is no pool on the property. Reply from maintenance team Good morning Jose, 🏖️This is a two story property which boasts expansive windows offering breathtaking views of the serene Gulf. ☀️ The summer months of June, July, and August are warmer and we have provided fans to assist the air conditioning. Please leave the thermostat set no lower than 70 degrees to avoid it freezing up - I would also keep lights off during the day and close any blind

Uncomfortable stay: Limited AC

Average temp downstairs is 77 degrees and upstairs is 80 degrees when the ac runs constantly, shades lowered, lights off, and fans on. When we first got there, it was 83 downstairs. We thought it was because previous renters turned the ac off. We noticed they have several portable fans throughout the unit, we found it odd but figured they were trying to be accommodating. Reality is the ac units “work” and are running, it’s just not strong enough to cool the unit. They sent ac maintenance, did no good because technically there’s nothing “wrong” with the ac. Maintenance said they get called out there all the time and there’s nothing they can do. Everyone was hot all the time. This is an existing issue that owners/property management are aware of and they do nothing to fix the root cause. The posting is dishonest, they most definitely should include in the description that ac will not keep unit cool. We paid $5k for three nights and for that, we should have had effective ac. We stayed because it was memorial weekend and everything else was booked. The posting for this place should clearly indicate the unit has AC but don’t count on the unit being more than 10 degrees below from outside temperature. It was average 84 degrees outside, unit never went below 73.
