About this property
Retreat in Coed Y Brenin forest near Dolgellau
Tyn Y Benrhos is a stunning Welsh stone cottage situated in its own grounds, in Coed Y Brenin forest, near Dolgellau. You have access to the entire property, with enclosed garden for up to 2 dogs and 8 acres of fields, woodlands and a river to explore.
Here you are perfectly located for an active holiday whether it be walking, running or cycling. If you just want to relax there is plenty of opportunity to do that too. We do not live on site but live about 20 mins away and are on hand if needed.
The space
The property is a 3 bedroom detached stone house that sleeps up to 5 people. There is a king-size in the master bedroom a double and a single bed.
The downstairs lounge has comfy 2 and 3 seater leather sofas and a wood burning stove. There is a 50" smart TV connected to the internet via full fibre broadband as well as a dvd player and a large selection of dvds at the property.
The downstairs bathroom has underfloor heating and an electric shower over a cast iron bath with glass screen door, a toilet and sink.
The cottage style kitchen has a large range cooker.
Central heating is provided by a multi-fuel Rayburn.
Fuel for the Rayburn is supplied free of charge.
Dogs may be allowed by special arrangement and a charge of £30 applies for up to 2 medium sized dogs; please contact us to check.
Outside
We have a covered seating area for guests to use with table and chairs and charcoal BBQ.
There is a lockable small metal shed at the side of the property that guests can use to store bikes etc during their stay.
We provide an EV charging point for guest to use. Please contact us before your stay if you want to use it so we can inform you of the price per KWh.
Guest access
There is plenty of parking space at the property but please leave access to the field. There are a number of great walks that start from the front door and for mountain bikers the 'Beast' mountain bike trail runs past the house on the other side of the road. Our road is on the route 82 national cycle route. Storage for mountain bikes is possible along with bike wash facilities.
Other things to note
We have had a fibre broadband connection installed to the property, to improve connection speeds.
