The property is just as shown, clean; kitchen well stocked with dinnerware, etc.. but that left little room for groceries, a small pantry might be a good idea for those of us that like to cook while on vacation. Be aware that you will need to bring your own linens for the two Queen beds and towels for beach and bathing. The shower was the only negative for us, but it was very small. The outdoor amenities were great!! A wonderful porch, we later learned was built by Gary's grandfather! A large deck that can accommodate a family gathering. The beach area was where we spent long lovely days, our grandchildren and children visited and never left the water!! This was FUN!! Gary came just as we were leaving, it was a pleasure to meet him and hear a story or two of the cottage and his family.
This cottage on Lake Ossipee is wonderful! The beds were comfortable, as was the large couch. Plenty of dvds, games and books on hand for your enjoyment. We loved the screened in porch where we played card games in the evening. Our black lab loved the sandy shoreline where he searched for fish hours on end. The middle of September was super quiet on the lake with only a few other boats around. Loved hearing the loons, especially at night. We would highly recommend this cottage!
Great vacation spot. We Will be back next year. I agree with all the wonderful things said about this cottage in previous reviews. Gary is an excellent host and the place is immaculate.
The cottage is exceptionally clean and the owner provides you with everything you need and more! He reached out several times to provide additional information and answer questions. Perfect place to relax, go swimming, fishing and/or boating. I would highly recommend!
The location is perfect - quiet yet close enough to nearby attractions. The cottage was clean and well-stocked with all of our needs, the beds were comfortable as was the living room where we spent a lot of time on the days where we had rain. We brought our Roku with us and with the surprisingly strong Wifi, we were able to stream some movies in the evenings. We were able to bring our two labs - huge plus for us.
There is a designated "poop" area complete with a pooper scooper and a bucket. The beach area was well equipped with a rowboat, floaties, life jackets and a beautiful dock. The bathroom shower stall is tight (a necessity due to lack of space) but it gets the job done.
We enjoyed our stay very much and the property owners were excellent with communication and making sure that our stay was enjoyable!
Our family had a great time at the cottage. The cottage itself was good sized (bigger than it looks in the pictures) and it was really well stocked with the little stuff that if a pain if you forget them. The owners were very responsive and helpful.
We settled right in with our dogs and all enjoyed our time away. The AC was nice when it got really humid, the large deck was more than we ever needed. The wifi was solid. The screened porch was my favorite spot to watch the boat traffic and enjoy being outside without the bugs. The dock was well maintained and the beach was good sized for the kids and the dogs.
The neighbors were pleasant and the area in general was quiet. Thank you for having us at your cottage!
The house is so comfortable, roomier than the pictures look. It is so charming and very clean. The deck is also spacious, always a sunny spot or a shady spot. We loved having our meals on the screened in porch, listening to the water and boats. The beach itself was also larger than I thought, very clean. Our one year old had so much fun playing in the sand. I look forward to coming back here!
Wonderful week spent in this lake front property perfect for 2 couples. Everything needed was provided for a relaxing stay. The screened in porch is a plus. AC worked great for the couple of days we needed it. Lots of stairs to the water. but very well maintained.....we carried our 3 kayaks down and up without a problem! Would definitely recommend this property.

Your cottage was just lovely
It was perfect for my wife & I, and our son and daughter-in-law and a 3 1/2 year old grandson. Also our 2 little dogs, a pug and a Boston terrier. We were at the lake everyday and really appreciated the new stairway w/railings making the trip up and down much easier. Even our dogs went down ina puppy playpen
We ate all our meals in the screen porch and felt like we were in a treehouse with a great view.
Bedrooms were a perfect size with room in one for a blowup bed for the toddler. All the amenities were much appreciated including the paper plates, cleaning supplies and plenty of fans too.
Our grandson was very timid on our first day in the water but by the last day he was a fish. Our son caught many mid-sized bass and 1 large one. He had a blast and taught his son to fish too. He caught his very first sunfish.
We all had a great time and were sad to leave. Thank you very much for a wonderful week.

Cozy, quiet, and clean
We had a great time at the cabin over Memorial Day Weekend. It was a bit cold the first night and we should have brought extra blankets, but they have some space heaters that really warm things up. Of course, typical New England weather, it was 30 degrees warmer the next day so extra blankets weren't needed. The cabin is in a great location. We spent most days down by the water or on the water. We also found some short hikes in the region, and generally just enjoyed NH. The cabin was VERY clean and very well organized.

Making the best of it.
The house was clean and cozy. Gary was responsive to any questions I had about the house. He took the time to check in with me to make sure the heaters were keeping us warm. Unfortunately the weather wasn't that great which made the temperature drop but made the best of it. The house was stocked with all the normal pantry needs and paper products. Due to the bad weather it was nice to have cable and Wi-Fi available. Overall we had a nice time getting away but would of liked to spend more time outside.

Relaxing mini-moon
My husband and I chose to take a "mini-moon" to simply relax and catch up on much needed rest after stressful wedding planning. This cottage was absolutely what we needed. It's family built and run for generations and you can feel the love. It's simple and small, but it is perfect. Everything you need is there and is well maintained and clean. We spent our days laying out on the dock or row boating and our nights sitting on the porch playing dominoes. We chose to grill (which is included with the house) most of our meals and eat on the deck. But there is a fully functional kitchen with all the appliances and utensils you can need. The beds are comfy and there is a nice new couch to lay on too. And, if you must, there is a TV. But I highly recommend not turning it on.
I will never forget the amazing sunsets and moon risings every night and listening to the lake wildlife. I can not recommend this place highly enough. We fell in love with Lake Ossipee and with this house.

A vacation to remember
This cottage was a delight! My husband and I and our two dogs vacationed there the week of 8/2 and thoroughly enjoyed it. The house was spotless and had everything we could have needed or wanted!
The house sits back from the road and is private from the neighbors. The sandy waterfront beach, deck and screened porch are wonderful. We spent most of our time at the house, sunning, swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding and reading. A very relaxing vacation! Thank you.

Great place, just right.
Perfect size, clean, sunny beach and nice view.
Everything is well kept and in great shape. Wi-Fi was a nice surprise, and is a must these days since cell service at the lake can be spotty.
Would love to go back again next year.

Great Vacation!
My wife and I rented this beautiful cottage the last week of June and can't say enough great things about it. The cottage was very clean an Gary the owner was so nice. It was so quiet both day and night. We went to Wolfeboro a couple of days and hiked Mt Chocorua. We also spent many days down by the sandy beach area. This cottage has everything you could need both inside and out. We both didn't want to leave (including our dog) and can't wait to go back. What a great value!
