We stayed for a family holiday gathering (6 adults, 2 children). Absolute perfection! The attention to detail by the host was incredible. Everything you could possibly need was there, making for wonderful family memory. We will definitely come back.
This property is amazing. Everyone in our group was blown away by how nice this place is. Tons of room for us to spread out inside the house, it was perfectly clean, and every attention to detail had been thought of. Would 10/10 stay here again, and recommend it to anyone. Communication with the host was also great, I felt like we were very well taken care of.
House was in a great location, close to alot of food and shops in Germantown. The house was beautiful and fun to hangout in. Would definitely recommend to anyone!
This historical property is amazing! The castle is spacious, clean, and provided amenities not seen in all VRBOs (stocked coffee and tea stations, candies, popcorn seasonings, shower body wash, shampoo). It is designed in mind for large groups to hang out together, but also have privacy. Our large group used the game room, the large dining area, my daughter loved playing the piano, the kitchen was stocked with plenty of dishes/cookware. There are so many delicious restaurants around and the neatest bookstore is just down the block. The host responds to your messages immediately. We will return!
A group of high school friends stayed at the Schwartz Castle following our 50th reunion. It is a lovely home. The accommodations are top notch. Fluffy towels, comfortable beds. The location is great allowing easy access to German Village as well as other parts of Central Ohio. I highly recomend the Schwartz Castle! Our group will stay again! The host is amazing too.
Brent was the best host ever, very accommodating with everything. We had to escape the hurricane in Florida so he let us check in early. The house itself was beautiful and filled with spooky history. More than enough room for everyone to sleep comfortably and the game room was a huge plus for entertaining. Location was perfect with the deli right across the street and easy parking right in the driveway. It was my first time in Columbus and I will definitely be staying here again when I come back!
We loved this place! It was SO clean. We enjoyed many walks to the downtown area and a German restaurant for lunch on Saturday.
But back to the Castle, what a fun place for family / friends to gather. The downstairs game room was enjoyed by all. It had a pool table, dart board & vintage Pacman, Asteroids game. Also a downstairs outside seating area that was so cozy. As we left, both of our (grown) kids said they want to come back next year!
gathered for a weekend of fun, reminiscing. There is a bedroom on the listing that shows (and says) 3 twin bunk beds. That is incorrect. It is 1 triple - so 3 beds stacked 1 on top of the others. The bottom bunk does not have enough space for an adult to sit up in the bed. Some written instructions about how to operate the light switches and stove would be helpful (for those of us in the older generations).Overall we were quite happy with our stay/the neighborhood, etc... Brent was a wonderful communicator.
What an amazing property!
This house was a perfect place to stay in Columbus while celebrating my brother’s upcoming wedding.
It’s close enough to downtown to easily Uber/Lyft.
The house also has a game room set up in the lower level that includes darts, pool table, card table and a table top arcade. Plenty to keep us busy while hanging out!
The bedrooms were ample. And, quite comfortable.
Brent was very responsive with info and answers to questions. Even got us in a bit early!
Would definitely recommend!
This historical property is beautifully maintained, clean, spacious and in a perfect location to enjoy German Town and an easy drive to the Convention Center. The pictures do not do it justice! The kitchen has everything you need, the coffee and popcorn bar were fantastic touches, grateful for bathroom products (soap, body wash, shp/cond, Kleenex), light up magnified make up mirrors, and plenty of towels. VRBOs never have enough pillows - the Castle does! Various chargers were available on both sides of the beds. Brent provided detailed information and immediately responded to my emails. We parked 3 large SUVs and Brent provided a city guest pass to park on the street for the fourth vehicle. My teen loved playing the piano AND having the player piano play! The game room downstairs was perfect for both adults and teens. There are so many spaces for a large party to hang out together OR find privacy. This is a gem of a property and a wonderful host. We have stayed at many places - we will definitely return here!
