The BBQ Grill, and outdoor fire table are unavailable in winter season (December to April) due to snow on the deck. Apologies for any inconvenience.

For summer visitors
This cabin is located in a secluded area of the California mountains, home to bears, mountain lions, and deer. This means you might encounter wildlife during your stay. To avoid attracting animals, secure all garbage in the outdoor can and ensure all four latches are properly closed. No food should be left outside unsecured.
Winter Advisory and Entry Information
During winter, we strongly recommend the use of 4WD/AWD vehicles and chains for safe access to our cabin.
In winter, the fireplace serves as the primary heat source for the cabin. Ours is an EPA-certified high-efficiency stove, which is safer and does not produce smoke inside the cabin. For added peace of mind, we also have smoke and carbon monoxide detectors throughout the cabin for extra safety. For a cozy night we provide firewood, kindling, fire starters, and matches. We also have 2 wall heater, and 4 space heaters.
Please be aware that there are a few stairs leading to the cabin, and guests with accessibility concerns should take this into consideration, especially in relation to access from the driveway to the entry. For a visual reference, we encourage you to view the photo provided in the listing.
To ensure your safety and convenience, I kindly advise parking your car at the beginning of the driveway, at the street level. This will help you avoid any potential issues that may arise due to ice accumulating on the driveway's asphalt. We, also provide snow shovels and salt, for your convenience.
Getting around
There’s a Chevron gas station conveniently located on HW108, less than a mile from our cabin. Within a 5-10 minute drive, you’ll find two grocery stores, Cold Springs Market and Pinecrest General Store, both offering a diverse selection of provisions and easy highway access. For dining, several nearby options include Mia’s Restaurant, Strawberry Inn Restaurant, Alicia’s Sugar Shack, The Branch Restaurant, and The Pine Cone Cafe, all of which provide additional dining and leisure opportunities for a well-rounded experience during your stay.
The tap water originates from the headwaters of the Tuolumne River and is delightful to drink. To make things easier for you, we provide a Brita pitcher, so you can avoid bringing excessive plastic water bottles.
