Fun Family Getaway

We loved our stay here. Shelly thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. Lots to do within walking distance, including great restaurants. The beaches and port are a quick drive away.

Great getaway

We had a great time at this house! It was very clean, organized and have all amenities you could need for a stay. It was close to all the local beaches and restaurants and beach pass was a plus too! Our host was responsive and helpful when we needed her. We look forward to return to Kennebunk!

Great trip

This is our second year in a row staying here as a family, and we will be back next year. The house is well stocked and even has beach items to go with the beach pass. I would highly recommend the house for any couple or small family, as well as Shelly, the amazing host.

Perfect girls trip

Property owner great! Everything was perfect! One of my friends is a house cleaner, she gave a ten on cleanliness. It was perfect for the 3 of us, the in closed porch was so lovely. Would recommend for family with two kids, girls trip and more. Close to everything.

Fantastic place, great host

We loved our stay! The place is small but super adorable and it fit the 4 of us just fine. We loved the screened in porch and grill outside. Everything from the simple decor to the cleanliness to the location was great. The host was incredibly helpful and gracious. Thank you! We'd all gladly stay again.

Fabulous

3 Friends arrived and Shelly made sure we felt welcome. The house was impeccably clean and just perfect. The back screen porch was amazing and our go to almost all of the time. The location was wonderful and we had a great time exploring Kennebunk and all of its beautiful gardens around town. She had lots of information to help with making plans. Great get away.

Great Home for a Family of 4

A great home for a week in Maine. The house is nicely done and perfectly sized for our group of 4. A great location in Kennebunk, with easy drives to the beaches and other points of interest. Shelly was a great host.

Perfect little cottage

Spent 10 wonderful days in this home away from home. Spotlessly clean, absolutely everything we needed, cannot praise this place and owner enough. Away from the maddening beach crowds but still close enough. Beautiful little town, within walking of cafe’s, French bakery, restaurants.

Fun Weekend Getaway

We had a great family vacation at this house. The house is very clean and comfortable and feels spacious for a 2 bedroom because of the nice screened in porch. The layout worked great for our family and we could watch a movie without keeping our littlest kid up which was great. Also the beds were super comfortable! I am a picky pillow and mattress person and I slept like a baby. We loved being able to walk to dinner at 50 local and easily get to the bakeries in the morning. Shelly had a super clean (and cute!) pack and play and high chair available for us to use which was much appreciated. Overall great stay and would stay again!

Great location, great house, great host

My wife and I had spent multiple years traveling to the Mid-Coast area. We thought a location further south might suit us and found Kennebunk and this property to be perfect. We found the house to be within walking distance the charming downtown shops, restaurants and shops, beaches were a short drive away and the attractions on the southern coast were easily accessible. Shelly’s house is set up perfectly and contained everything we needed. The spacious living room, modern kitchen and the cozy bedrooms were chock full of useful and clever amenities. Our favorite spot was the large screened-in porch where we enjoyed morning coffee an evening Maine thunderstorm. Our host was responsive and helpful when we needed her. We look forward to returning to this awesome property.

Wonderful Stay in Kennebunk

We had a great stay in Kennebunk. Shelly very generously let us use her well equipped, super clean house, which was just the right size for a family with two teenagers. The kitchen was perfectly equipped, with great pots and pans and a wonderful large gas stove. The covered terrace was great for breakfast and dinner and the barbecue worked perfectly. But most of all we loved the fantastic beach equipment! Chairs and beach umbrella included. Kennebunk is a delightful place, with nice little cafés, bakeries and restaurants. Unfortunately we missed the market on Saturday, but we were able to enjoy the free park concert in the park next door. The great beaches are very close by and the parking pass that Shelly provided us with was very helpful. There are so many more details that I can't even begin to list that made our vacation here unforgettable. Thank you Shelly for a wonderful week in Maine!

Great Time

We selected this house as it felt like the perfect size for our family (2 kids, 6 years old and 4 years old). House met our expectations and Shelly does a great job responding to questions and providing the items you need to make the stay easy. Items like toilet paper, paper towels, bath towels, salt/pepper, brita water filter, etc. are all included and the fact we didn't need to worry about any of that made the stay less stressful. Parking pass to the beach made access during the week easy. Great stay and a great host!

One of the nicest hosts we have ever staye with!

We absolutely LOVED Shelly’s place in Maine. It’s cozy, CLEAN and had all the essentials we needed. She is truly a super host. Always got back to us with clear answers to all our questions. Had left little welcome treats for us. : ) And was always very pleasant, helpful and super nice. Although we had planned on re-washing all the linen wherever we stayed, due to Covid, this place was so squeaky clean that we didn’t need to. I highly recommend it to anyone considering a trip to Kennebunk or surrounding areas. (only reason I didn’t give 5 stars, is that the dishwasher was spoilt, and it was a bit of a pain to deal with, since we planned on eating in a lot. Also, there are probably mice in the kitchen.)

"Cutest House Ever"!

My husband and I and our 2 teenage sons fell in love with this "cutest house ever (a quote from my 15-year-old son)" immediately after our arrival. Not only cute, though, this house was well functioning and very comfortable. Most of all, it was super clean!! I loved the smell of the laundries, which made me want to look into Mrs. Meyer's products :) Location was perfect too. We visited South Portland, Wells, Ogunquit and Kennebunkport, all within a short drive distance. The free Shakespeare play on the park across the house was a nice surprise treat. Shelly was very responsive to all of our questions and requests. We loved the walk to the new bakery "Boulangerie" and the farmer's market. My favorite part of the house was the back porch where we had family dinners in the cool evening air. Thank you for everything, Shelly. We very much enjoyed staying at your house!!

Kennebunk is a great town!

We have always spent a week in Maine and stayed in Kennebunkport. We found this Vrbo and we’re drawn by the cleanliness rating (we rented a place on the ocean several years ago and it was so very unclean this is now my main requirement). The house is immaculate, but also high quality finishes in decor and other touches. We lacked for nothing! The location is in the heart of downtown Kennebunk, behind a fun bowling alley/Gastropub. Plenty of breakfast and coffee spots, and Shelly provided a parking pass for nearby beaches. Even if the house were just okay, we’d have plenty to do. But the house was adorable. When we had a rain day, we played backgammon and cooked and truly felt like we were home (if my home were cute and uncluttered!) I cannot say enough about how perfect this house was for my husband, me, and our two adult sons. Shelly is attentive to every detail, we did not need her at all, but when I did message she responded immediately.

Beautiful home / friendly owner

The home is very well kept with a big beautiful screened-in porch that is perfect for dining and napping. The owner warned us that the home might not be kid-friendly (we have three children under 5) but, to the contrary, it was ideal for our kids, and required very little effort to babyproof. It is a 1 minute walk to the cute Main Street in Kenebunck and less than a 10 minute walk to an adorable playground. It comes with a beach pass that includes access to Mother's beach which we found to be absolutely perfect for our young kids--beautiful yet much less crowded than other beaches making it easy for the kids to run and explore without leaving our line of sight. Also, it is an easy drive to Portsmouth, Portland and Ogunquit, each of which have a ton of non-beach activities for kids. As people who wanted a lot of non-beach day trips, this was a great base. Finally, the owner was very accommodating and friendly. It is clear that she takes pride in the home (as she should) and that it is important to her that her guests have a nice stay. But for the fact that increased demand will make it harder for us to reserve next year, we would highly recommend booking this home.

Great place to stay in Kennebunk!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The tidy home has quick access to anything of interest in the area - downtown Kennebunkport is a quick 7-10 minutes away as well as all of the things to do outside of that area (ie; local beaches etc). The home was a great size for our family of four with two teenagers - there is a nice size living room to hang out in plus an enclosed porch with ample seating to hang out. The bathroom has a very roomy walk-in shower, with a great ledge to put all of your overnight bags etc. It is very well set up for a short term stay allowing you to keep an organized and calming environment. There is a great kitchen set up with an amazing stove, various coffee makers to use, ample fridge space and an outdoor grill. Whether throwing something together or making a meal, you will find what you need there. The home was extremely clean from the outdoor porch, to the bathroom to the kitchen. The beds and linens were very comfortable. The host was amazing to communicate with - quick communication for any question asked. Also, as far as 'extra' touches, in my experience this was beyond anything I have experienced. It actually makes it hard to rate other experiences now b/c this was so thoughtful, generous and welcoming. Would definitely recommend staying in this lovely home in this quintessential Maine town.

Hi my name is Shelly. I grew up just down the road in York, Maine and raised my children (2 sons) through their younger years in Wells, Maine. When they became school aged we moved to Kennebunk were I have worked for the school system for 24 years. I have summers free which leaves me time to manage a HomeAway property for the summer. In past years I have worked seasonally for fine resorts and know what guests need and want. I consider myself to be adventurous and know the good spots to hike, bike, surf, Golf etc. I look forward to meeting my guests and am ready to assist in any way that I can :)

Kennebunk has a great sense of community and the people are very warm and friendly. You can feel the vibe the minute you make your way to Main Street! It is very apparent that it is a community that cares. The beaches and quaint Kennebunkport are most likely the two top reasons the Kennebunks are so popular during the summer season.

Cosa rende unica questa struttura

I fell in love with this home because of all the light that filters into the living space. With so many windows in such a small house it is always bright and sunny and welcoming! All interior lighting are on dimmer switches to enhance the mood at different times of the day. All floors are wood and in the bathroom tile that looks like wood! The layout of rooms makes a lot of sense too. The back yard is private and is a great place to unwind and cook on the grill. A covered screened in porch adds to the living space. The gas cooking inside is also a treat. There are all brand new high end appliance in the kitchen which makes cooking fun. Also a washer and dryer in the basement and some storage in the garage for any recreational extras (bicycles, kayaks, surfboards etc) you'd like to bring along.
