Lovely and spacious cabin in Kings Canyon Park. We stayed 4 nights in October. The cool nights made the pellet fireplace much appreciated. Plenty of outdoor seating for warmer weather. There’s so much to vist nearby that 3 days was not nearlt enough. We’ll be back.
Beautiful home right smack in the middle between Sequoia National Park and Kings Canyon National park. The place was fabulous and so convenient to get to either park.
What a wonderful place to kick off a bucket-list trip to Kings Canyon/Sequoia/Yosemite National Parks! Our group included 2 sets of sisters, (my older sister and I, ages 80 and 85, and my 2 daughters, ages mid-50's. The younger girls wanted to go hiking in Yosemite, the older 2 of us wanted to recreate a trip to the area our grandparents had done in the early 1950's.
Sequoia Splendor cabin was comfy, homey, clean, and wonderfully decorated. The fact that the cabin was right in the heart of the entire area was a big plus. We toured all day (loved the KCNP Skyway, and brought back food to sit around the kitchen and enjoy the house, You have a gem of a house that can be enjoyed by many. Thank you for your kindness and for helping making this a trip of a lifetime. It was chilly the nights we were there, a great excape from Texas and Arizona heat!
First off, the owner was great with communication. This cabin was the largest we could find in the area to accommodate our large family. It was obvious how much time was put into remodeling the property. And it was so well decorated! We used every amenity there from the spacious bathroom to the fire pit with swings. We ate at the indoor dinner table with bench and on the outdoor patio with a grill. The community was a little difficult to navigate upon arrival but once we got our direction straight we found it easy. The cabin was perfectly located for exploring the parks. It was wonderful to come back from a day of hiking and exploring to a hot shower and warm comfy bed. I’ve spent a lifetime camping in Sequoia and Kings Canyon and while I have absolutely loved every time this was a special trip with grandma and grandpa and having the comfort of a cabin made it all possible.
This cabin in located in an amazing little community that feels remote and like stepping back in time, and yet is 5 minutes walk from the Grant Grove Visitor's center. The beds were comfortable and the cabin had everything we needed. Don't miss swimming in Lake Hume which is a short drive a way.
This is an absolutely charming cabin. The furnishings were so comfortable and high quality. The owners were very easy to communicate with. A walk around the neighborhood is a must to experience this incredibly special historical community. Great location for exploring both King's canyon and Sequoia. Great collection of DVDs which made for fun family movie nights after we spent the day hiking and exploring. Kitchen was very well equipped, linens were soft. Water is ice cold and delicious mountain water!
