What a great place to stay. It was very comfortable and felt just like home with the added benefits of sweet treats and homemade bread. I came looking for a quiet place for a solo retreat and this place did not disappoint. Very peaceful and cozy. I can't wait to come back during another season.
We stayed in December 2024 for a little anniversary weekend, and our stay was wonderful! Host was super sweet and responsive. Provided treats for our furbaby, and homemade treats for us humans 😊 Gorgeous location on a small lake, would love to visit during summer!
The host (Judy) was very nice and helpful. The place was clean and included: a cement porch with a picnic table plus a propane grill. We also enjoyed the use of the paddle boat to navigate the lake. There was also an ice cream shop, bowling alley, diner and pub all within a few hundred yards of the rental. Thank you!
Everything was just what we wanted! Judy’s hospitality is first-rate. We look forward to staying again when we are back in the area. Thank you so much! 😊
The apartment is perfect, quiet and comfortable. My dogs and I enjoy the walk around the lake. Judy is a great hostess there if you need anything but respects privacy.
As other reviews have stated this is a perfect well situated 1 bedroom pet friendly and handicap accessible rental. The best part is the host, Judy who makes you feel at home with small kindnesses that you won’t forget. I was in town for a family wedding and my 4 other siblings came over prior to the ceremony. There was plenty of space for everyone while we sat, talked and enjoyed the warmth of the gas fireplace. Definitely have this on your favorite list if you are in the area!
This was a wonderful place for a weekend getaway.
Every little thing we could want was provided and the extra touches like homemade baked goods made this stay exceptional. The place was very clean and well stocked and every comfort of home was provided. I would highly recommend
We enjoyed our stay. Our primary need was wheelchair accessibility and we were well accommodated. Beautiful small lake on property and good food at the local diner (Sheridan Diner). Thank you Judy.
What a nice place! It sits right on the lake, and is very peaceful. It's walking distance to a restaurant, ice cream place, a bar, some stores, and the public beach with picnic tables, and a TANK! The VA hall is there. I have never seen a tank in person!
This was my first single lady vacation with my dog Lucy and Judy was very accommodating. She bakes! Delicious cookies, bread, muffins! Her son came and lit the bonfire for me the first evening, and she even bought an umbrella for shade.
It was great waking up in the morning and seeing the lake right outside of the bedroom window., ALL the windows have a view. In the evening the sun sets in full view and it's breathtaking!
She has a paddleboat that Lucy and I used around the lake, kayaks, a canoe, and more!
You should stay here!
Oh and I forgot my laptop charger, she mailed it to me right away!
Thank you Judy! I had a great time.
Judy was an incredible host! The property itself was very comfortable and clean, with a thoroughly stocked kitchen and smart tv. Judy also provided us with cookies, scones and homemade jam - wonderful hospitality. The lake the property is on is also beautiful wjth a great sunset. Conveniently located to a grocery store and local breweries. We really enjoyed our stay!
We rented the property in Sheridan during our daughters graduation from Alma College. The location was perfect. The property owner was flexible and communicated well. We were surprised to find that the owners lived upstairs and that they had a cat that could make its way to the rental area. We also found the interior of the rental very dusty and unclean. It served our family well with some upfront cleaning - but we probably would not stay here again.
This was a well-stocked, one-level spacious area with a beautiful lake-front view. We enjoyed our relaxing stay and appreciated the host’s thoughtful bakery items and swift attention to our requests.
Cozy convenient stay, the sweet treats are always a bonus.
