Lavender Hill Cottage – Provence in Sonoma with Views!

***COVID-19 ***
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic we are taking extra precautions for each rental. We no longer allow quick turns (guests arrive on the same day as last guest depart) between rentals. Our minimum is 28 hours between rentals to allow extra time for cleaning/sanitation. We follow CDC guidelines which includes wiping down all commonly touched surfaces including lockbox, door knobs, light switches, TV controls, bath and kitchen fixtures, etc. Every countertop is disinfected with a spray sanitizer and allowed to air dry. We, of course, leave it up to the guests to follow their own guidelines as far as masks, social distancing, etc.

Lavender Hill Cottage is a mid century, one story, hillside bungalow, tastefully remodeled and decorated. It has all modern conveniences including central heat, central A/C and two car garage with remote opener.

It is a true wine country retreat! Beautiful 2 bedroom 2 bath cottage located in a private, hillside setting with views of the distant hills. Yet it is located only 2+ miles from the historic Sonoma Plaza. Open floor plan. It has a beautifully remodeled kitchen with limestone counters, wood floors and large fireplace with matching limestone surround and hearth. There are French doors leading to a large deck equipped with a gas BBQ and patio furniture making it an ideal place for eating and relaxing outdoors.

Both bathrooms have been remodeled with luxurious appointments. The master bedroom has French doors leading to another private deck, a perfect place to have your morning coffee or your evening glass of wine watching the sunset.

Lavender Hill Cottage has all the amenities that you would expect in a wine country retreat including central A/C, central heat, large 2 car garage, much original art work, gourmet kitchen and lovely views. In the main living area you will find a 50" HD TV, blu-ray / DVD player with internet connection and movie library. There is an iPod, IPhone docking station in the entertainment area. There are 32" flat panel TVs in each bedroom.

Lavender Hill Cottage is located in a peaceful neighborhood and quiet hours begin at 9 pm. Max number of guests is 4. Please be respectful of our neighbors.

The house was perfect for our stay with 2 couples. The kitchen was well equipped and the gas grill was perfect for cooking in. The was plenty of room to spread out. The neighborhood was quiet and we loved hanging out on the deck for our morning coffee and cocktails in the evening. The beds were ok for the most part but could use a mattress replacement. Thanks for a great stay!

Hidden Sonoma Gem
Fabulous cottage nestled on a hill minutes from Sonoma Plaza and wineries. Three of us were in town for a wedding, and this was the perfect spot for a relaxing weekend. The cottage is much larger than I expected, with stunning views and an incredible kitchen and deck for star-gazing. The wine-swapping fridge was full of great wines, and we left a few ourselves. Could easily accommodate 2 couples. Everything from parking to communication to the cleanliness of the property were 5-star. Highly recommend. Will stay here again.

Everything was as pictured and wonderfully homey. Location is wonderful - nothing was too far by any means, though we were secluded enough that we had privacy, quiet, and lovely views.

Excellent choice for Sonoma get away
We were an all adult foursome staying a couple of days to spend some time at Sonoma Raceway and hang out together. Great to have two king bedded rooms too. The tub in the master bath was not good for us, as it was quite deep and with glass sliders. There was nothing to grab onto stepping in or out. My husband nearly fell getting out. He’s 6 feet too. I am short, so did not even try. The hall bath does have an easier to access shower, so it was OK. Otherwise, it was a great stay and the deck was fabulous to hang out in the afternoon. We got take-out for dinner and that was perfect for us to enjoy our private time together. The roads in the neighborhood are narrow and winding, so you need to be mindful. If you drive a large vehicle, it may be intimidating.

Quiet relaxing spot for a wine tasting vacation
Stayed at this property with my fiancée and my parents while out in the area for wine tasting. It was the best place to land after long days out. We loved the big deck space and especially the spices and sauces already on-site. Communication with the owners was great. They emailed information out with clear instructions and if anything had come up, I felt confident they would have handled it. We would definitely return!

Convenient to Sonoma. Only about 8 - 10 min drive. The three bedrooms are nicely appointed and comfortable. The deck/terrace is large, and comfortable. It would benefit from staining/painting.

Amazing stay
We came as a surprise trip for my husband's 40th birthday. The location was amazing, very central to everything we wanted to do. The house was extremely comfortable, especially relaxing by the fire with a bottle of wine every night! Bob and Diana were amazing hosts. If I could give it 10 stars I would!

Wine Country Stay in Sedona
The place was comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. The comforters are very old and dated, but the beds were comfortable. We arrived late and it was so nice that lights were left on, so we weren't arriving in the dark. Two of the rooms have king sized beds, which was a nice plus when you are staying with another couple.

A nice place to escape
This property was perfect for us. A cottage tucked away in the back a neighborhood. I felt like it was comfortable home. It has everything and more that you need. There were 4 of us and plenty of places to go escape and read a book. The kitchen has great pots and pans and lots of cookbooks for you to peruse. Lots of outdoor space. It is about a 30 minute drive to Napa or Calistoga. The mountain roads are fun but don’t drive if you had a few as they become treacherous. The owner had great communication and has thoughtfully provided everything. One review said the place was worn and needed updating. I would describe it as comfortable and inviting, like your grandmother. We loved it. Thank you. It is near sonoma and only 2 miles to the Safeway. I raised my eyebrows as we turned off into the neighborhood, it cracked me up that houses were built every which way with no rhyme nor reason. The collie dogs next door do like to bark around 7:00 am.

Perfect for us
Lavender Cottage is a lovely, cozy cottage that was perfect for my family of four on a wine tasting adventure. The indoor space is comfortable and well-appointed with plenty of seating and space for four adults. The kitchen was well-stocked as was the wine fridge! The rain kept us away from the outdoor space most of the weekend but we managed to grill one night and soak up some sun on the last day. The cottage is located just about a five minute drive to downtown Sonoma. Robert was so easy to work with and we would definitely stay there again!
