I love staying here. John and Jim have created a quiet, artsy spot in a beautiful meadow which feels far away from town but it isn’t. The apartment has everything you need and is so well taken care of- full of vintage vibes. You can see the care they put in their property as well and I love taking walks and sitting in the garden in the evenings. Can’t wait to return.
A special time to step away from the busyness of life for a few days and enjoy the abundance of nature walks and hiking trails in the area and plenty of restaurants and food shopping to choose from.
The owner of the property was very nice and accommodating. The location is great. Everything needed was within 5 minutes while the property made you feel out in the country. Was a very cozy place to stay.
John and Jim have created a real oasis of beauty and calm. We loved this place - the garden, the quiet and the hosts' attenton - friendly, caring, helpful. It is a wonderful location for exploring; and access to wonderful restaurants, bakeries and the Smith College campus.
I was looking for a quiet and relaxing place to stay while visiting the area and could not have been happier with my stay. It was comfortable with everything that I needed in a great location that was close to everything that I came to the area for.
Cute little place. Easy to find with hosts specific directions. Very quiet.
Host told me about a plumbing issue discovered before we arrived and kept me updated on status of repair. We were only minimally inconvenienced. Would stay here again.
Great area and great location -- particularly enjoyed watching the chipmunks from the patio. Great wifi, quiet despite being adjacent to other unit (thick walls!), halfway between Northampton and Easthampton, both worth checking out
My stay was amazing! The apartment is clean, quiet and comfortable, and John provided some great restaurant ideas.
The chairs are super comfortable, and the soaking tub is great for relaxing. I can't wait to come back in the summer, because the outfoor seating areas look like they'll be amazing when the weather is nicer.
Cute spot! Spacious room with a double bed. Well stocked little kitchen. Very cute little patio at the back. Very nice copper soaking tub and large wet bathroom. Super nice host greeted upon arrival. :)

Wonderful Time
Great place to stay, central to all the places we were going. Morning wake up call with the rooster was an added bonus.
While the listing highlights the "wet room" bath, the highlight for me was the beautiful view from the patio. The owners are creating a wonderful oasis off the back of their house. It was a treat to sit there in the morning and evening, watching the birds, including turkeys and admiring their attractive landscaping.
Hosts have created a beautiful space, inside and out! Gardens greet you, comfortable bed, well-equipped galley kitchen, eating and lounging space, plus fun and luxurious shower/bath are...appreciated the prompt and helpful communication with Hosts, will definitely stay again!
Everything was fantastic. Definitely worth staying again whenever my girlfriend and I want a weekend in North Hampton. Favorite part was the enormous clawfoot tub.
We had a wonderful, relaxing time staying with John while I was attending reunion at Smith. The bed was very comfortable. Loved both the kitchen and the shower. Heat pump perfect for both heat and AC. Thank you for being so welcoming.

Perfect Location
The flower gardens were beautiful. John and Jim were very helpful and great hosts. Loved the shower and tub to soak in. When we were there and temps were in the 90's. My only wish would of been air conditioning.
We loved it there! Well stocked kitchen -quality items throughout (sharp knives, coffee press, many extras - tea, coffee, condiments) 2 private patios, beautiful gardens, lovely kind host. Very clean. Comfortable bed & pillows. Shower is wonderful - Sonos sound system & dual shower heads- great experience.
Owner went about & beyond meeting us in driveway at night in rain - we felt very welcome.
While there is easy access from the main routes, the world seems left behind as you turn into the driveway. Gardens, hardscapes, singing birds, dark skies for seeing the stars, and even an occasional bunny add to a sense of calm.
The hospitality of our hosts, the room design, and the decor all contributed to a peaceful experience, while still being close to shops, restaurants and galleries. Thank you. Marc and Gail
Not luxurious, but a clean, comfortable, quiet cottage on two mostly-mowed grassy acres. Great linens and a very comfortable queen bed. The owners, Jim and John, are friendly and helpful but never intrusive. Their dog Toffee was a perfect companion to our mini-goldendoodle Ollie, and they enjoyed daily romps around the property. Easy drive to downtown N’hampton. Would definitely stay with these folks again, but would request the bigger unit next time. Perfect spot for a western Mass base or just a relaxed, laid back vacation.
Very nice small property. Thoughtful owner met us upon arrival with a flashlight to guide our way in . Small Kitchen was fully adequate for me to cook my take-to for the Thanksgiving Dinner at family. Spa bathroom, beautiful garden, quiet country setting make this a unique and charming stay. 2 special notes; uneven surface steps outside to consider for anyone with special needs of balance or gait, and copper soaking tub restricted to water only, no salts, botanical oils etc. permitted to enrich your soak. A small accommodation to an otherwise lovely stay.

About the host
Hosted by John Sielski
We owned and operated a popular natural foods restaurant for over 20 years (1991-2012) on the Smith College campus. Green Street Café has been featured in many national and international publications (Gourmet, Bon Appetit, Yankee, New York Times, Boston Globe...). We now farm Greens Treat (the Cafe's former gardens) and provide organic fruit, vegetables, herbs and flowers for 20 garden share members. We have 2 friendly dogs.
Why they chose this property
The house and gardens sit on a south facing slope. Sunny and warm all year round with spectacular soil for our gardens. And the view - calming.
What makes this property unique
Secluded, private and quiet. 6 minutes to downtown Northampton and 5 minutes to Easthampton center.
