The place was simple but comfy. Everything worked fine. There was a TV there and furniture was comfortable. Our only wishes (for us 3 girls) was; mirrors hung in the bedrooms so less waiting for the only bathroom ,the middle bedroom needs hooks since there is no place to hang or put clothes and more hooks or towel rack in the bath room. It was nice having the water in the back yard and being able to walk to the resturantes on the water and enjoy the views. And of coarse feeling comfortable enough to walk to and around town even after dark. We would have no problem going back again.
Loved the location. Easy walking distance to downtown. All the amenities you need, but need to check the coffee maker. It had the leftover coffee grinds in it and they were moldy. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.
We booked and expected what we received. The home is older but well maintained. There were no surprises so we felt we got what we paid for. The toilet has a slow leak on bottoms seal. Just an fyi.
Great location! We walked to bakery, restaurants, shops, ice cream, hike in the Watkins Glen gorge (beautiful) kayak rentals, pontoon boat rentals, breweries in town. Lovely outdoor seating area with fire pit, watched a train go by on the tracks then walked over to waterfront restaurant. Easy drive to wineries, distilleries, cheese shops along the lake.
The bungalow was as pictured and described. The kitchen was great, plenty of utensils, glasses, etc. Will definitely book again when in the area.
This was the perfect place to stay to enjoy Seneca Lake wineries, breweries, and everything else that the Finger Lakes have to offer. The location could not be beat and we loved that we could walk to Watkins Glen but were also able to enjoy the quiet of the neighborhood. The house is sweet and was very clean. We also enjoyed the backyard and fire pit. The owner made everything so easy.
We had a great time visiting the Watkins Glen area! The house was clean, comfy and close to everything!

Location?
Was listed on a cul de sac in a marina district. In general location was good for being in town however Was on a dead end. The backyard view was a railroad track and storage area for sailboats. When standing outside in certain areas had an obstructed view of the lake.
Enjoyed the fire pit but it needs to be replaced as it has a hole.
Livingroom Furniture was uncomfortable; Kitchen table was warped and needs upgrading and put in a tv. Add curtains on Kitchen window.
For the rental cost, was overpriced for condition of the property especially when taking in service fees, taxes and nightly rate. A few upgrades for, not alot of $ would really improve property.
clean property, great location, walking distance to all of downtown.
nice that towels and most things were provided, we just had to scramble for shower soap
Great home. Clean, well stocked with pans and other sundries. No TV which was an added plus. Made a fire outside and enjoyed the grill. Walking distance to everything and the neighbors are really cool.

Cozy, centrally located house
Thank you to Karen for accommodating my family while we were in town for my cousins wedding! It was a perfect location right by the water in Watkins. The wedding was located at Wagner Winery, a short drive away. Very clean and comfortable for our whole family! Karen was very easy to get ahold of with any questions.

Would not recommend!
When we opened the door there was a strong musty / moldy smell in the house. We opened windows to get some fresh air into the house. It got cool at night, so had to close the windows.
We were booked for three nights, but only stayed one night due to the smell.

Proposal Weekend
Stayed here with a group of friends for a weekend where I proposed to my girlfriend. The place was great and clean. Extremely close to a couple restaurants and Walmart. Karen was great too. Would stay again.

We loved it!
This place was great! from the moment we looked into it, we had instant response from Karen. The house was exactly like it was described and pictured. We were only less than 2 blocks from Seneca Lake. It was perfect for our party of 6 who wanted to walk downtown and explore the bars, restaurants and even Watkins Glen State Park. We loved our vacation there and would highly recommend it! Thanks Karen :)
