Family And Pet-Friendly On Waubeesee Lake ~ Includes Kayaks!
Quiet lake with beautiful views from the outside patio or lake facing sunroom porch. Enjoy solid sand and rock base lake to walk out in the water and swim. Three feet deep at end of pier and 20 feet deep at swim raft. At night, sit on the pier and watch the moon dance off the water. Fish for pan fish from the pier in the early morning or late day. Perfect for the grandparents, a comfortable Queen bed in the bedroom on first floor. Other three bedrooms are upstairs. Large bedroom on second floor has King bed and overlooks lake while sun comes up in the morning. Third bedroom has Queen bed while forth bedroom has a Bunk bed. Bathroom with shower and tub are located on both levels.
The house fits up to 6 adults and 4 children comfortably. More than 3 families would be too crowded.
It seems no one is around and it is quiet throughout the week. Usually, the family of swans swim around the lake. Hummingbirds dart through the yard visiting the garden and feeders.
Children can find enough to do playing in the sand and water while you put something delicious on the grill and enjoy a drink in the beautiful breeze. Sit, watch and be amazed at what children can do to fill their time.
Paddle the lake in one of the boats and easily fine nature at work or sit and recall why coming to the lake is so important to family and friends.

We were very pleased with everything at this property. Clean, cozy & comfortable. We'd love to come back when it's warmer to take advantage of the amenities
The house was adorable! It was just two of us, but there would have been plenty of room for family or a few couples. The lake view was gorgeous. Jennifer was a great host, super easy to communicate with! We were just there to get away from home and relax for a weekend, and it was perfect for that. Would love to come back in the summer, stay a little longer, and make more use of the lake!
Old lake house with plenty of charm and supplied with everything you will need. The weather was perfect and hosts Jennifer and Kevin were wonderful. They gave us a relaxing ride around the lake in the pontoon boat. And the sleep number bed in the master bedroom was awesome. Will definitely be back when we are in the area!
Perfect little get away for my husband and I and 2 dogs. The views were beautiful, flowers, birds, (including swans and hummingbird) fishermen catching fish. Lots of cute art. the dogs loved the lake. It was a little too chilly for us to enjoy the lake, but that’s kinda expected in WI in September. The fireplace kept us toasty.
The house is old, but plenty of places to sleep. Reminds me of Grandmas house with room for the cousins to get together and eat, play and hang out together.
Our hosts were great! Helpful and accessible for questions before and throughout our stay. I would do this one again!
We celebrated our son’s 15th birthday with some of his friends and this lakehouse was the perfect set up. The kids were in the water the entire time ; fishing, rowing, swimming and kayaking. The location was wonderful and only an hour and 20 minute trip from Chicago. We would definitely rent again!!
This property, while a little tired in some areas, makes for a great, old-fashioned lake house vacation. The owner is wonderful and is right next door whenever we had a question. All the "extras" that come with the property - kayaks, paddle boards, row boat -- made for a great family vacation for those lake-lovers and fisher-people. We started every morning on the dock fishing -- and the kids had the very best time!
Very positive. We very much enjoyed the use of a pontoon boat, which was an extra, as well as several kayaks and a rowboat, which were part of the regular rental agreement. We have two young fisherman in the family who enjoyed fishing off the pier and from the boat.
The front lawn and garden was a popular spot for fun with the kids, as well as relaxing at a both upper level and beach level. There were many waterfront accessories in the boathouse to which we had unlimited access. Every night, we built a fire and enjoyed s’mores by the lake. Our hosts were very eager to help us enjoy our stay, very accessible and friendly.
The outside was fabulous, that is where we spent most of our time. Jennifer was so nice and accommodating. The house is old but was fine. There was water damage in the downstairs bedroom that really bother my husbands asthma, other than that is was good. Really enjoyed our time and had a relaxing time. I would stay again
Great lakefront access and cozy outdoor seating was perfect for my family bookclub weekend! Very much appreciated the host being available during our visit. Great quiet get away!
This was a great place for our family to get together. Lots of bedrooms and space to spread out. Nice places to hang out together inside or out. We rented the pontoon for a day and took the grandson tubing, then watched the sunset from the lake. Our daughter said it was 'the perfect place'.
This spot is a lake cottage gem. My wife and I spent 2 full months with 2 dogs and it exceeded my expectations. From swans at out pier to gardens blooming, it was delightful. The owners, now friends, were always helpful and available. We are seniors and the upstairs master was not a problem! We were all sad to leave!
Jennifer's house was the perfect place to meet for a girls weekend. It is a very clean house and the view right on the lake was beautiful. Will definitely be back!
We had a wonderful time relaxing and enjoying this peaceful lake. We especially enjoyed exploring the lake on the kayaks and looking for the swan family that lived there. Great family trip!!
7 year old summed it up by asking when we could come back. Kids really enjoyed the water. Owner had canoes and kayaks that we could use. Quiet dead end street. Plenty of room for the 6 of us + 1 dog. Only 20 minutes to the zoo or 30 minutes to downtown but felt like a world away.

About the host
Hosted by Jennifer
My family bought this house because we enjoy the lake and the neighborhood. When the children finish school we will retire here full time.
Why they chose this property
Waubeesee Lake is secluded enough to feel up like North Wisconsin while it's close enough to Milwaukee and several small towns.
What makes this property unique
We enjoy the nature most of all. The kids enjoy the lake. From sun up to sun set it's all about being in the water. We go from one thing to another. We love to fish, swim, snorkel, boat ride, play with the dog and bike through the neighborhoods.
