Come enjoy "The best of both worlds". After filling your day with the action of the city retreat to the fresh country air and serenity of this chalet style home, relax on the 1000 square foot deck and take in the best view in town! Sitting on a 63 acre private gated farm on the outskirts of Nashville in the town of Goodlettsville, home of the little league baseball champions of 2012. We are within walking distance of the largest antique district in Tennessee. Rivergate mall, grocery stores and every desired restaurant, historic landmark or shopping experience awaits you within a 5 mile radius. Named after my beloved black and white paint horse "Valentino" who lived to the ripe old age of 30 and reigned over these acres till early 2013. Newly remodeled "Valentino's retreat was once the "early days" home of the iconic Kris Kristofferson. It is loaded with all the comforts of home and some extras! The decor celebrates the spirit of Nashville with music business memorabilia that is from the owner Dana's personal collection. It is 13 miles from downtown Nashville. This is a peaceful place for a relaxing get away it is NOT A PARTY HOUSE.

This is a place to get away from the noise. We are close to the down town Nashville action but a retreat when you are ready to leave the action behind and relax. If you are looking for a party house this would NOT be it. We do not have a cleaning fee and because of that we just ask that you leave things as you found them. Although you are not required to do the laundry. Leave that to us.

Fabulous cottage in beautiful surroundings. Ideal location for visiting Nashville.

The cottage was beautifully furnished and we enjoyed total peace and quiet for 5 nights. The deck was lovely to sit out on although the weather wasn’t great for most of our stay. Nashville is 20 minutes drive away so we were above to visit and then escape back to our retreat. Jay recommended a local Thai restaurant which we thoroughly enjoyed. We liked seeing the donkeys and the cattle every time we went out and hearing the birds tweeting. Totally peaceful. I can’t honestly fault anything and we would love to return. Dana and Jay made the whole experience pleasurable and Goodlettsville made us very welcome.

A little slice of heaven!

This property is an absolute gem! Located in a perfect spot away from the hustle and bustle of the city, it offers a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature. The tranquility is unmatched, and the view alone makes it worth the stay.The best part? The mini horse Mozart and Jill the donkey, who are the perfect, charming touches to this already beautiful setting. They add a sprinkle of joy to the whole experience. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway with a bit of farm charm, this place is it!

Truly the best of both worlds

Quiet get away close to everything!

This place was absolutely amazing! House is older so the doors need new weatherstripping making it hard to regulate temperature but that was the only problem we had. Our daughter loved seeing the cows, donkey, and pony. We loved how close it was to everything while being secluded. We will definitely be back !

Wonderful Place to Stay!

This little house felt secluded and comfortable for my wife and adult daughter to stay and work as I drove into Nashville for a few days to work. They loved the pony and donkey! Property is clean and quiet. We had a little trouble getting to the property because Apple maps had us arriving a hundred yards or more before the actual entrance. We finally figured it out. Dana was fantastic!

Quiet, outside of town, small country property.

We were VERY satisfied with our rental. The inside of the small house was well maintained and kept very clean. This house had everything O have at my own home except for food in the fridge!

Great Trip

The location was perfect for us. We had a rental car and took in the sights and activities. Parking in downtown Nashville is not a problem. The airport is a 20 minute drive. We would return if ever back in Nashville.

Amazing place to stay to visit Nashville

My wife and I planned a long weekend away from home to visit Nashville and the surrounding area. The best of both worlds was a great find, close to Nashville (15 mins) but far enough to enjoy a quiet stay. Our host was great, and very quick to respond to questions we might have had. Speaking of the host, the first night we arrived and went inside we saw music memorabilia on the walls, thinking we were close to Nashville, a music theme. The following day there is a sign on the table that says "Check out my music" with a website. After looking it up, it becomes apparent the artist and the host were one in the same! How very cool is that? We didn't want to leave when the time came it was a great weekend away, at an amazing place. Highly recommend it as a place to stay! Chris and Amber

Rural Nashville

Nice and quiet location. We enjoyed the farm animals nearby and the beautiful scenery. However, we found numerous large and small spiders under the bed pillows, in between the sheets, under the cushions of the couch and in the kitchen. A total of 17 spiders in all areas of the house made it difficult to get a good nights sleep. A text to the owner/property manager regarding the problem went unanswered.

Quiet and comfortable

Nice and cozy. Fun to be greeted by Jill (donkey) and Mozart (mini horse). Bed is super comfortable and everything we needed was there for a nice stay. We will probably come back when we visit Nashville again as it is easy to get into the city.

Country cottage

The cottage was super cozy and homey. It had all the conveniences of home down to tissue boxes, coffee pods, paper towels, lots of towels for 2, very clean, decorated beautifully representing the music connection to the owner. It has a beautiful outside deck but between the heat & the bugs we didnt use it. We stayed during July so the heat & bugs are to be expected!! AC worked great too!! Loved the full size appointed kitchen with a fridge with an ice maker & water!! We are all ready booked for another stay!

Peaceful stay

We enjoyed our time in this comfortable cottage. We had everything we needed and it was a great place to escape to from the crowds in downtown Nashville. We also enjoyed seeing the turkeys and other wild life that are on the property. The horse and donkey even greeted us one evening as we were coming home. It was an extremely hot weekend but the air conditioner worked perfectly at keeping the cottage cool and comfortable. A great stay for anyone wanting to visit Nashville ,but also wanting a quiet place to relax.

First timers to Nashville

This was our first time to Nashville and we choose to stay outside of Nashville at The Best of Both Worlds and it was perfect for us. Very peaceful and relaxing and enjoyed sitting on the deck each morning and watching the turkeys and deer with fawns and hummingbirds

Perfect Honeymoon Getaway!

My husband and I spent part of our honeymoon at this amazing ranch in Nashville, TN, and it was the perfect escape we were looking for! The serene surroundings, complete with wild turkeys, cattle, and the most adorable miniature horse and donkey, made our stay truly magical. The ranch offered a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere, far removed from the hustle and bustle of city life. It was exactly what we needed to relax and unwind. We enjoyed the beautiful landscapes and the quiet, calming environment that made our trip so memorable. The accommodations were wonderful – cozy, comfortable, and thoughtfully decorated. Nashville getaway

We visited Nashville and surrounding area and loved having a quiet place to escape in the evenings. The cottage was clean, quiet, quaint and comfortable. We enjoyed a variety of birds, deer and wild turkeys. We especially enjoyed being greeted each day by Jill and Mozart, the rescue donkey and miniature horse. Dana was a great host and was very responsive to our questions. Thank you!

Dana has lived in Goodlettsville for over 45 years. She has been in the Music industry for most of her life. Dana was a recording artist on Capitol records and Warner Bro's in the 80's and 90's.

What makes this property unique

This 63 acre gated farm has the best view in town! As you sit on the 1000 sq ft deck you overlook the city of Goodlettsville. From the deck you also have a nice view of our pond located here on the farm. Our lovey little equine Mozart the miniature horse and Jill the miniature donkey will greet you (watch them they'll try and charm you out of a slice of apple or carrot!) The wild life is an added bonus!
