About this property
Luxe Designer Villa with Amazing Jungle View
Experience the charm of a tropical living lifestyle from this loft-style villa, featuring a lush backdrop of tropical jungle and rice fields. Indulge in the home spa, prepare a meal in the super-size kitchen, or lounge your heart away at the villa's splendid open-air deck before taking a plunge into the picturesque pool.
So beautiful that it named as Best Villa to Book in Bali 2023 by The Conde Nast Traveller, and many other publications!
~~ Perfect for Group Travel ~~
Haigha House has three bedrooms. The master bedroom is located on the west wing of the villa. It features a super king-size bed (2x2) with a King Koil mattress. The master bedroom also has an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in closet and a beautiful vintage copper bathtub, as well as its own private balcony with a direct view of the volcanoes.
The other two bedrooms are located in a private quarter on the east wing of the villa. They share their own private deck, a long wooden deck overlooking the jungle and the pool. One bedroom has a super king bed (2x2m), and another bedroom has two single, stackable beds, which can convert to a double bed. Both bedrooms in the suite have large windows and are equipped with air conditioning. The suite quarter has its own shower and toilet.
~~Fully-fitted Kitchen~~
Haigha House's kitchen is simply beautiful. It's a social kitchen with two oversized islands, perfect for you if you'd like to cook during your stay in Ubud. Home-cook extraordinaire would definitely love our gigantic, oversized kitchen islands with a direct, unobstructed view of the tropical jungle. Make your stay memorable; cook to your heart's content, and wine and dine with your loved ones at our rustic dining table made of repurposed wood.
~~Chic, Secluded, and Private~~
Most "private" villas in Ubud are located in a compound. This loft is located on a 1250m private property that is accessible only to you. It is surrounded by lush rice terraces, a tropical jungle, and a small river.
~~Located in a tranquil part of Ubud~~
If you're looking to avoid Ubud's overcrowded, noisy, buses-infested, and touristy downtown, then this place is just right. Located 5km south of the famous Monkey Forest Sanctuary (the center of Ubud), this villa is nestled in a quiet little village, away from the hustle and bustle. Here, you're surrounded by nature, rice fields and a little river, coconut trees, and a view of three volcanoes. Here, you can hear the sound of the crickets, little frogs, birds (and dogs - we have two dogs at the property). And at night, when the sky is clear, our poolside deck is a perfect place for stargazing, and sometimes the fireflies visit us too.
~~Open Plan Living~~
The villa features a 6m high ceiling, open-plan, free-flowing spaces, and a minimalist—but warm—interior. Steel, concrete, glasses, and lots of wood—this is not your typical Indonesian-style Joglo bungalow. If you love loft-style architecture with an Indonesian touch, then you will love our villa.
~~Gorgeous Jungle Pool~~
We have an infinity swimming pool with an unbeatable view for you to relax and unwind. Pool inflatables are ready to go, and we also have big bean bags that you could use to lounge on the pool deck.
Speaking of the deck, here's a perfect spot for you to do your daily yoga and meditation, with the tropical jungle as your backdrop. It's so quiet and serene you can hear the whispering sounds of trees.
The lounge area features a comfy oversized couch and a collection of books for you to enjoy during your hideaway. The villa also has its own private home-spa space with a professional massage table and an on-call massage therapist. We design the space where you can truly relax, rejuvenate, and lounge your heart away.
~~Other extra perks~~

Wellness Sessions: Arrange private sessions with certified instructors and enjoy Yoga, Meditation, Muay Thai, or PT sessions in the comfort of our villa.
- Large Lawn: Perfect for the kids to play on.

- On-call Drivers : Arrange transportation and tours with English-speaking drivers.
- Breakfast: Breakfast options are available. Message us for details.
You will have the whole villa - private to yourself.
When you check in, our villa host will be there to welcome you personally, introduce you to our staff, give you a tour around the villa and make sure that you'll feel comfortable settling in your new home.
Throughout your stay, we're also available via phone or text messaging so you can always ping us whenever you have any question about the villa or about Ubud in general.
RICE FIELDS CHANGE COLOURS
Our loft is surrounded by rice field, and framed by the river and jungle. We're also tucked and hidden in a small Balinese village, away from the tourist quarters of Ubud. Here's a few important things that you will need to know about the area:
The rice paddy is alive and breathing. It goes through different cycles where the landscape around you will change colours depending on the season.
At the early stage of its cycle, the landscape will be filled of muddy earth and you will see farmers ploughing the fields, often hemmed by dozens of white herons flying around.
Once all the land has been ploughed, paddy is planted, and water is streamed to the field. This is when the loft will look like it's surrounded by body of water.
Then the paddy starts to grow, and with its growth, come different colours. At the early stage of its growth, you will see bright green, then as it matures, the landscape will turn to golden, and then eventually dark brown.
The whole cycle usually lasts 3-4 months. So when you're staying at our loft, the view that you will see from your suite will change depending on the season.
SMOKE & FIRE
Following the harvest, the farmers clear the fields to prepare them for a new cycle. This is when the straws were burnt, and the smoke rises. The burning usually lasts for 2-3 hours and depending on where the wind may blow, this might cause inconvenience for the dwellers of our loft. This is however, a part of the reality in living so close to the nature, and we have prepared a blower in our loft in the case of our guests would like to use it to keep the smoke away.
INSECTS AND THEIR ALLIES
Living so close to the nature, we do have living creatures crisscrossing our paths every once so often. In the dawn you will see hundreds of dragonflies, but at night you might also encounter some geckos. You will also hear crickets (or see different types of insects), and sometimes fireflies are also spotted around. There's not a lot of mosquito here, but it's always good to keep mozzy repellent handy, you never know!
