Completamente aggiornato e restaurato per avere funzionalità e unicità per proprietari, bambini, amici e familiari in un ambiente ludico incredibile. Tocchi e colori personalizzati sono ovunque: entrambe le case sono assolutamente uniche! La cucina Windmill sfoggia controsoffitti in cemento arancio mandarino con mobili in acciaio inossidabile. La cucina Silo è al passo con i ripiani in zinco e le unghie in rame che danno vita al fantastico backsplash colorato e strutturato realizzato con il vetro riciclato della fermata dell'autobus di San Francisco! Dal momento che le camere hanno angolazioni diverse, gli armadi e i letti dovevano essere realizzati su misura. C'è una sorpresa in ogni stanza - dal frigorifero vintage arancione degli anni '50 convertito al lavandino del bagno in vetro sotto illuminato; l'elenco potrebbe continuare! La creatività e l'immaginazione da parte del proprietario e degli artigiani locali hanno fatto funzionare tutto. I colori sono brillanti, l'arredamento è giocoso; l'intera proprietà è stata personalizzata come luogo di vacanza perfetto per coppie o famiglie amanti del divertimento.

La Windmill House è composta da due case a torre separate per mulini a vento che condividono il cortile comune, il patio, il green, la vasca idromassaggio, 2 docce esterne e l'ampio portico con barbecue incorporato e pozzo del fuoco che sovrasta il Soquel Creek. Questo set è ideale per famiglie o amici intimi con bambini. Il piano principale della casa sul retro ha una cucina splendidamente ristrutturata, un soggiorno, un bagno completo e la prima camera da letto con un letto Murphy Queen su misura. Le scale esterne che conducono alla torre del Silo conducono ad un ampio portico con comoda area salotto e alla seconda camera da letto con letto matrimoniale e bagno di servizio (vista che si affaccia sul torrente e cavalletto). Quindi, fino alla parte più alta del Silo e la 3a camera da letto. Questa stanza è come la fuga di Peter Pan! Letto a castello personalizzato per 3 bambini, TV a schermo piatto e vista dall'alto!

La seconda casa, che è adiacente alla prima, ha una pianta simile. Il piano principale è stato completamente ristrutturato con un bagno completo, personalizzato Murphy Queen Bed, ampio soggiorno con camino a gas, Apple TV a schermo piatto, lavanderia, cucina ed elettrodomestici dal design unico e audio stereo / surround all'avanguardia per divertimento interno ed esterno. Mentre sali sulla torre del mulino a vento, arriverai alla prima camera da letto con un letto singolo e una zona lavandino. Salendo il mulino a vento, troverai la seconda camera da letto con un letto singolo e un orinatoio molto cool e in incognito per il gentiluomo. Alla fine, nella parte superiore della torre, c'è un altro "salotto" per bambini con due futon singoli ripiegati su un divano, una TV a schermo piatto e viste dall'alto! I bambini lo adorano!

Ancora più importante, la casa del mulino a vento si trova sul appartato e affascinante River Path del Soquel Creek a pochi passi dal famoso Capitola Village e dalla spiaggia. Tu e la tua compagnia potete godervi il tramonto e la fauna selvatica sul lato del portico privato mentre il barbecue e i bambini arrostiscono i marshmallow sulla buca per il fuoco. Lo schermo personalizzato è facilmente accessibile ma sicuro per i bambini. L'area salotto attorno alla buca per il fuoco è fatta di pietra che si riscalda con il fuoco e mantiene tutti accoglienti mentre abbondano storie e risate.

Questa casa ha tutto! Completamente arredato e riccamente decorato! Tutte le lenzuola e gli asciugamani sono inclusi e gli elementi essenziali per iniziare; carta igienica, asciugamani di carta, sapone per mani / piatti ecc. Basta portare te e i tuoi cari ed ENJOY!

Unique family getaway

We had a great time at the Windmill house. The size of the property and the amenities made it easy and fun to shelter in place there when Capitola was too busy to enjoy.

Awesome Experience!

This was such a fun house in the perfect location! Being able to boat to the beach was definitely a highlight! The fire-pit for evening s'mores was perfect! The house was clean and everything was in great condition. Loved it the house, loved the beach, loved the hospitality!

This house was a work of art and we loved it!!

Perfect fit for a girl's weekend. Great views from the river deck. Beautiful house inside and out. Close to everything! Can't beat it....and we have stayed in alot of homes in the area.

Wonderful special property!

This was my second time renting this place with a group of friends. It's such a special property! Super duper close to town, so couldn't be more convenient. The owners think of everything on the property. No detail is too small. Communication with the property manager is a joy! Checking in was a breeze. The place is quirky so don't expect a lot of privacy in most of the sleeping quarters, but we knew that going in, so it's all just fun times! Comfy beds, plenty of linens, kayaks, paddle-boards, great hot tub, great grill, the list goes on. I highly recommend renting this property! And I hope I am fortunate enough to stay a third time sometime!!

What a beautiful home and location

We just got back from 4 days in Capitola. We have staying in the town many times but this was our first time on the river. I think we found the perfect place. We had lots to do and enjoyed sitting out reading, BBQ and watching the sunsets. We also loved the decor and all the little extras. They even had ping pong. We will certainly be back again. Awesome family vacation.

This was one of the best family vacations ever!! My initial reaction when entering the property for the first time was “Oh no what have we done???”But it didn’t take long to fall in love with this funky eclectic place. Our 3 grandkids (ages 12,9 & 5) lived on the boats. The kitchens had everything my gourmet cook son needed. We spent most of each day and evening on the dock patio. What an awesome place to relax! We’ll be back for sure.

Wonderful location, fun house

My family and I loved the fun, funky house. We played ping pong, took an outdoor shower, lazed on the deck by the water, told stories while sitting in the red leather furniture. We had a blast. It's a great place for kids. One thing needs attention. The dryer in the main house goes off every few minutes telling us the lint needed to be cleaned. That needs to be checked ASAP

What An Awesome House and Location!

Our family of 10 stayed her for 4 nights and we had a wonderful time in Capitola! We had three children and 7 adults. The house is decorated with beautiful tile and art. We were a couple of minutes from the village and the beach. Having the lagoon right there was great for the paddle boarders and kayakers. The hot tub was wonderful and the putting green was fun for the kids. The two quirky houses were great! The garden with the table was big enough for all of us to be able to eat together outside. I can't think of anything that would have made the house better. It was very well appointed with pots, dishes and refrigerators. Thanks for letting us stay there! Also Rose was very helpful. We hope to stay there again sometime.

Fun filled getaway

We had a fantastic time at the Windmill House. The accommodations are very unique and fun. The units were clean and tidy. The paddle boats and kayak were a huge hit with the kids, as well was the ping pong table and putting green. The patio is beautiful and the piped in music was a pleasant surprise. The location and walkability into Capitola was a 10. The driveway easily fits 2 cars, maybe 3. The outdoor seating was beautiful and really festive. The only downside to the units was the fact that the Silo house bedrooms are not connected internally to the kitchen, bath, main unit and require one to go outdoors to access the main portion of the unit.

Beautiful Artistic Gathering Spot

This a a quirky, artistic, fun house (or, more properly, houses) - just perfect for a party - even in the winter. The houses are beautifully maintained and everything connected with them is top notch - from the luxurious sheets and towels, to the stock of necessities ranging from kitchen condiments to toothbrushes. Friends who came to spend the day were enchanted with the river location; those of us who came to stay for a few days appreciated the comfort, the location steps from Capitola Village and even the blue heron living in the tree outside. Property Manager Rose was extremely helpful, not only letting us in, but giving us a tour of the property, so we knew where to find things and how to access the technology. A great location for accessing the beach, the fine restaurants and the shops of Capitola.

A little bit of everything

What an amazing place! It had just that perfect bit of quirky that really worked and was very well maintained. An artists' paradise! My children and nephews loved all the secret rooms and little cubbies (and so did the adults). It was well equipped for a longer stay. We stayed for over a week...we didn't need to bring a single thing. The golf, table tennis, kayak, paddle boat kept us all more than entertained. It was great to be in a place that was safe for the children to just be relaxed. The adults were delighted that we could enjoy a cup of coffee (or wine) on the water and listen to the happy giggles of family enjoying each other (sans technology). Location! Location! Location! Just a short jaunt to downtown. We enjoyed our morning coffee runs and the children enjoyed having easy access to the corner ice cream shop. Neighbors and walkers-by were friendly and welcoming. We highly recommend this Capitola location. We WILL be back!

Wonderful, unusual, treasure on the water!

We have our annual ladies 'reunion' each year in the fall...when the tourists are gone and the weather is usually amazing. This year we chose the 'Windmill House' since we all met in Capitols a 'few' years ago and upon arrival, I believe we were uniformly pleasantly surprised how well it worked for our rather large group of lady friends. The space is so beautiful, unique, and welcoming. The décor just never ceased to amaze us!, the space really works for a large group (with 2 kitchens even), and the amenities were those special touches (plenty of towels, smores, wine, and high end toiletries) that really made us feel welcome. The landscape is also so beautiful- you can tell someone really cares for the plants and the design was well thought out, just as within the interior of the house. We enjoyed the deck so much, boating along the river, the fire pit, views of the ocean and lush hillside. The only thing we could have used more of was a few extra duvets as it can get chilly in the evenings. But we really should not complain- as we just felt so welcome and the hot tubbing was a great way to end the day. We will certainly hope to be back next year! As some of us have little kids, we also could see how well the space would work for families- so many nooks and crannies of bright colours! The design of this place is just something you have to see for yourself. I would say kids would think they are in another world! I guess you could say we sure did and were able to sip time and really enjoyed this magical Windmill House. Thank you to the manager for being a great welcome host as well!!! A lovely lady! Memorable Capitola stay!

Our group of 9 women couldn't have been happier at this fun, spacious and historic home on the water! Views from every room, comfy beds, plenty of outdoor space, cozy living spaces indoors...and all steps away from the best the village has to offer. We were regulars at Gayle's Bakery, the beach and Pizza my Heart. A trip to Shadowbrook is a must - just across the water! Thank you again!

Amaxing place!

We just spent 4 nights here and it was amazing. The house is really cool and fun and everyone had fun exploring the rooms and amenities. There was plenty of room for the 10 of us! We loved that we could walk into town in 5 minutes, but also sit out on our deck and grill and roast marshmallows. I recommend this place to anyone who wants to have fun in Capitola or Santa Cruz. It was an easy drive to lots of fun places including West Cliff where we watched surfers, USC where we went to a wedding, and even the Monterey Bay Aquarium. We really hope that we can go back there again in the not too distant future.

Resort like experience in Capitola

We've stayed at the Windmill house a few times now and each time the property seems better and better. The amenities are perfect for carving out your own resort like experience in the heart of Capitola and when you're ready to hit the beach or restaurants, everything is just a short walk away. Rose, the property manager, is always there to help with any questions and make you feel right at home.

Eclectic Property

We loved everything about our trip to Capitola and this amazing home. The owners have thought of everything and provided so many amenities that most short stays overlook. So many great reasons we’d stay here again: Getting up in the morning, walking less than five minutes to the local coffee shop and bringing it back to sit on the deck was a daily treat, jumping in our kayaks and the provided SUP for some exercise or a leisure paddle down the creek, having a glass of wine by the fire, or hanging in the hot tub while the kids played ping pong, and my favorite, the outside showers!

Want for nothing

Our stay was incredible. We loved every minute and tried to use every amenity this unique property provided. There was nothing we needed except our own groceries and our happy family. Playing on the creek, walking or paddling to the beach, relaxing by the fire pit enjoying the local wine, even the outdoor showers were a hit with the family. The kids loved exploring and sleeping in a different room every night. Communication with the property manger was easy and quick. We would have loved to stay longer if time allowed, hopefully we can be back again soon. It is a magical place and special memories were made. -Crystal

Best spot in Capitola

We love Capitola and have stayed in many homes in the area. This home is by far the most unique, most fun, and best located spot you could find. Because we had lots of teen cousins, the windmill part of the house was actually perfect for them, with each kid staying in one of the twin beds! It is beautifully and artistically decorated and the home has something for everyone - hot tub, SUPs, kayaks, ping pong, and putting green. It was nonstop fun and we could walk or paddle to the beach if we wanted. Highly recommend!

Togetherness of utmost importance

Lifelong family and friends came together to celebrate the life of one of our matriarch and spread her ashes in the ocean per her wishes. This property gave a large group the opportunity to share memories, laughs and tears in a way no hotel could have. And, it saved us a lot of money which have pleased our loved one immensely. An Adventure House

The house was great. It was perfect for our family. The grandchildren loved the house and all the little funky touches that made it a fun “adventure” house.
