The location of LeBarn was perfect. Nice walking paths on the grounds. We loved the Wakefield area. The place was clean & the hosts were very friendly.
Great setting, neat grounds, opportunities for hiking and just sitting around. Barn is comfortable and spacious, lots of cutlery etc, many books on the shelves. My family members enjoyed morning coffee outdoors looking over the meadow.
We had a lovely time staying at the barn while visiting friends in the area. The property and building itself are beautiful!Host was always quick to reply and very helpful.
The barn was spacious, and conveniently located to family we were visiting. Hannah is a great host and responds quickly if needed. We especially appreciated the 3 bathrooms, all with showers and there appeared to be plenty of hot water as we never ran out, even when all 5 of us showered at the end of a long day. If you’re looking for a place that can comfortably accommodate a large group, the barn is what you’re looking for.
An excellent property for larger family gatherings as it will sleep many people. Very unique (restored bank barn) and full of interesting family history. Room to spread out both indoors and out. Private. Hosts were wonderful. Highly recommend if you are interested in a different and interesting experience!
Excellent! Very well stocked house with super comfortable large but cozy living room with wood fireplace in a gorgeous setting just minutes from Wakefield.
This is our second time to stay here and it didn't disappoint! The kitchen is well equipped for a family that loves cooking. Beds are comfortable. The fireplace, all the wonderful books the space inside and the amazing winter wonderland books
Hannah was a very responsive host. The Barn was perfect for the groups needs with ample social space inside and out. I would highly recommend the stay for anyone with a group who wants to explore the beautiful area.
We had a great time. The kitchen is well equipped and having access to 3 showers and bathrooms is great.
The place was very clean and the “living space” is large.
All in all a great getaway.

We’re very happy to hear it worked out well for your group.
Having all bedrooms on second floor and kitchen with living areas on ground floor is great. The spacious outdoor area was put to good use by our group.
We had a spectacular time here. The place is really lovely and the hosts were great helping us navigate our arrival and a couple small power outages during the blizzard. 11/10
This was a great place for our team to stay for a training camp. We have stayed here before in the Wylie XC ski races but this was the first time in the summer. We had great access to th Gatineau Park for training. The setup was perfect for our team. Very cozy and warm atmosphere. Great hosts. Looking forward to coming back again next year

Very happy to hear it worked well for your group. And thank you for the extra effort in leaving The Barn in a good and tidy condition. See you next time!
My women's group had another great stay at Le Barn. We skied and hiked from the house. The house is clean and well stocked with all the necessities. It is the perfect location for large groups and family getaways, with plenty of room to spread out and make noise without bothering others in adjacent rooms. Hosts are great, with excellent communication. Great!!

Good to hear it worked out well again for your group this year. And thank you for leaving The Barn in very good shape.
What an amazing place and the whole family said we couldn't have had a better place! Beds comfy, bathrooms plenty and perfect for bathers and those who prefer showers. Kitchen was amazing! We are a family of cooks and all agreed it was well appointed. The surrounding fields, rivers, and forests were perfect for little ones and serious hikers. Evenings in front of the fireplace (cocklestove from Germany) with books from the numerous bookshelves was absolutely wonderful. Thank you Hannah and John!

Very glad to hear your Christmas family gathering worked out well at The Barn. And thank you for leaving the place in such good shape. You’re always welcome back.
This place was the perfect set up for our family get together. We were able to have lunches at the house for thirteen of us with enough seating and dish-ware. We loved the history of the Barn and the character. Interesting books and beautiful artwork. Treasures from around the world in every room.
It felt like home! Highly recommend this place for a family gathering. John and Hannah also responded quickly to any communications we had .

We’re very pleased to hear the property worked out well for you and your family.
The house was fantastic, with too many amenities to name. It felt like they thought of everything a large group could need. With the ability to ski out the door or drive a very short distance to groomed trails, it is ideally situated for skiers. The drive to Ottawa is an easy 25 minutes to enjoy museum and charming neighborhoods and pubs. Wakefield is just a few minutes away, with good pubs and live music. The host was friendly and responsive. Altogether a wonderful experience! We will go back!
