Completely renovated furnished home featuring 3 bedrooms, 1 king bed with half bath, 1 full & twin bed room, and 2 twin beds. All bedrooms have flat screen TV's with a large flat screen TV in the family room. Just off the family room is the laundry room equipped with a washer and dryer. Lovely winter break in Cape Cod

We loved our stay in this home, which was exatly as described in the listing. Great location, much to do for kids and adults in the area and surrounding towns. The hosts could not have been more lovely and were very helpful and responsive to the questions we had during our stay. Would happily return!

Beautiful comfy home for a family

I stayed here on a visit back home as I am born and raised from Falmouth. This is a nice quiet location and perfect split level home for a family stay. Easy check in and very nice homey feel. Would highly recommend.

Great family stay

A perfect house for a perfect vacation

This beautiful house offers everything you need and then some: beds and sofas are very comfortable, kitchen is fully equipped, the whole setting is great. Don and Joanne, you are wonderful hosts, thanks for letting us stay at this beautiful place

Great property, great location

Property located in quiet neighborhood and location is a short drive to beaches, shopping, restaurants, etc. Downtown Falmouth about 15 minute drive while Hyannis is about 25 minutes. Lots of fine restaurants and attractions for every taste. Recommend the Cape Cod Dinner Train and Whale Watching out of Barnstable. And I would be remiss if I did not mention that Don and Joanne are absolutely great hosts that made us feel at home in their well appointed property

Spotless clean, comfortable, quiet, beautiful!

We stayed at Don and Joanne's house for five splendid days, enjoying the Fall at Cape Cod. The house is well appointed, clean, comfortable, and can accommodate 6 to 8 guests. The bathrooms are on the small side, but that's normal for this area. They are spread out over different levels. The hosts are delightful and very helpful.

Wonderful home and wonderful stay

Don and Joanne are lovely and their home is wonderful! The house has everything you need and a lot of extra little touches which make it so special! It was perfect for our small family. Don and Joanne are wonderful hosts and we thought it was so special that they made sure to come and meet us and reach out to make sure all was well! We would love to stay here again!

Fourth stay!

This was our fourth stay at this home. It was perfect for us as always. The owners always welcome us with warmth and the home is comfortable and well stocked with anything we might need, including sweet Portuguese bread and jam. We would highly recommend this East Falmouth home, any time of year.

The house was beautiful. It had everything that we needed. It was very kid friendly. The McCarthy's were great. They were quick to respond to all of our questions and needs. They were great hosts. We will definitely be staying here again if we are in the area.

Amazing home and owners

I couldn't be more happy about staying in this home with my wife and toddler. The property was clean, spacious, close to many attractions, and exactly what we needed. The owners of the home were incredibly friendly and hospitable and truly made us feel welcome. I can't speak highly enough of the entire experience, and HIGHLY recommend this home to anyone looking.

Cape Cod Hideaway

Quiet home in East Falmouth which is a central location for many activities. 15 minutes to Old Silver or Chappy beach. Close location to Shining Sea Bike path and rental in addition to Island Queen Ferry. Close to Falmouth Commodores field as well. Home is spacious with more amentities than listed on site. Yard with fire pit and gas grill. Home owners very thoughtful and provided beach chairs and towels .

Cape Vacation

Having previously stayed on cape at a resort we wanted to try renting to enjoy a slower paced, more private vacation. We had an excellent expansion in East Falmouth thanks to the property owners Don and Joanne. Their home was warm and inviting with small touches to make our experience feel special. Each room has its own air-conditioner to help beat the heat. Don and Joanne's restaurant/shoppe recommendations were spot on! We would definitely stay there again. East Falmouth is much quieter than the Hyannis area and perfect for families.

Location, location, location

We were working at the Cape Cod Fairgrounds for a Scouts BSA event over Columbus Day weekend. Location was 5 minutes from the fairgrounds so perfect. We stayed 7 nights and it was primarily a place to sleep. Lovely touches like bread, butter, and jam for breakfast plus milk and cream for coffee. Peaceful getaway

This lovely, clean, well-cared for & well-appointed property has plenty of room for a family to stay. The house has everything you need to enjoy a lovely vacation. A car is needed to get to any stores, beach, etc. but nothing is very far away. The owners Joanne & Don McCarthy are a lovely couple & attentive owners- greeting us upon arrival to make sure we had everything we needed. My husband & I would highly recommend this property & will not hesitate to rent it again in the future.

Perfect home for family of 5!

Donald and Joann are the perfect hosts. Their home is immaculately clean and they provided everything we needed for our vacation. We had plenty of space for our family of five. They also had AC which was much appreciated during our summer visit. The location of the home is perfectly located a short drive from multiple beaches, a short drive to the MV ferry, and was a 30 minuted drive to most of the other things we wanted to do like a whale watching trip, the Nantucket ferry, and the Heritage Museum and Gardens in Sandwich. We loved the home and the area and will definitely stay here again!

Cape Cod Home

This East Falmouth home was truly a home away from home. Joanne and Don are perfect hosts. Since we were there for Christmas, the house was all decorated, beautiful tree and all. Everything we could possibly need was provided. The kitchen had all you needed for cooking and Joanne even left supplies and goodies for our first morning there. We loved the warm, cozy feeling of the home and would definitely hope to stay there again when we visit our family in Falmouth. Five star all around.

A lovely place for our group

We lucked out and found this property available for a last minute family vacation. We had grandparents and grandkids and this house worked out perfectly. The hosts provide fold out mattresses, so all the teens could be comfortable, and the older folks had private space. The location is peaceful and relaxing, and it includes a flock of wild turkeys. We appreciated all the nice little touches - a loaf of bread from a local bakery and a basket of things visitors might need, like toiletries. The hosts are locals and love to share info. Plenty of beach towels and parking too. All in all, we had a perfect Cape visit and you will too.

Perfect break!

My family and I stayed at Don and Joanne's property at the end of June, and we had a great time. You can tell a lot of love and care has gone into this house by its furnishings and cleanliness. Everything you could possibly need for a stay is in this beautiful house, I have stayed in a few rentals through Homeaway, and this was by far the best supplied house. It is large enough that you are not tripping over each other, and though there was a living room and a family room we spent most of the time in the sunroom. It is in a quiet neighborhood, and Don made sure all our needs were met. We all agreed we would love to come back to this fantastic house!

About the host

We moved to the Cape in 1971 from the Boston area and raised 5 children here. This particular home was the grandparent's home since 1970 the land had been in the family since the turn of the century. In the last 2 years this home was totally refurbished and now is available to rent. After raising 5 children Joanne went back to school and received her master's degree in marriage and family therapy and presently works with parents of autistic children. Don worked in insurance and started his own agency in 1979 finally slowing down and selling it 10 years ago but still remains working part-time for the new owners. We have 9 wonderful grandchildren and all but one live close by so we are kept very busy with the ongoings of the grandchildren.

Why they chose this property

This house was built by Joanne's parents in 1970 so the grandparents were able to see their grandchildren grow and raise their own children. With the grandfather now deceased and the grandmother in a nursing home the decision was made to keep the home in the family renovate it and rent it. It has been a wonderful place to raise our children.

What makes this property unique

One of the unique benefits of this home is that every thing in the home is new. New floors, carpeting, furniture, bedrooms sets and mattresses as well as new stainless steel appliances. We also put in a new heating system. Front porch is pleasant to sit on as well as the back deck. We also have a 3 season room with 14 new windows which lets in a lot of sunlight. The family room is one of the favorite rooms in the house with a comfortable sectional to relax on as you watch the large flat screen TV or enjoy a game of cards at the table at the other end of the room.
