Addington wedding

My son got married At Montaluce and the location was perfect. There were no problems upon arrival or departure. We had a 2 year old with us and the place was perfect for her. I couldn't have picked a better place or owner. Definitely will be going back and staying at the house. Lindy, thank you so much Kim

This was perfectly located between the Monteluche winery and the UNG Dahlonega campus. Slept 5 adults and owner was very accommodating and allowed us a late checkout.

Love the location

We truly enjoyed our stay. This property is still under renovation and based on past reviews this has been going on for more than 2 years. The property owner is very up front about the work and what has been done is nice but nothing has been finished.

Excellent location

I rented this cabin for its close proximity to Monteluce Winery and I couldn't have been more pleased with its location. The cabin was quaint and had some charm. The owner told us she was having some work done on the cabin so we might see some construction materials around. It will be really nice once the second bathroom is fully installed. With that being said it was more than comfortable enough for my wife and I plus our two kids. The swing set and fire pit both saw use in our short weekend trip. Overall it's a quaint little cabin that's perfect for a quick weekend trip.

Family Thanksgiving together fun

There were supposed to be 9 of us but only 5 were ultimately able to come. The house next door had the prettiest Christmas lights that added to the peaceful atmosphere in the evenings as we sat by the firepit just spending time together which we haven't done in years. The house was cozy and comfortable and will be even nicer when the additional space is finished. We rode through the mountains, went gold panning and saw the beautiful downtown. Well worth our time and the drive from LA for me.

Awesome property with sweet host

My family and I went to Dahlonega to spend Christmas with family. We had an amazing time at this beautiful home! The teenagers had a great time as did we. I only wish I was in better condition to enjoy this beautiful property as I was recovering from being hit by a car and it was difficult to get around. Lindy was very helpful and tried to accommodate me. I hope others enjoy it as much as we did!

Close to town

The cabin was located right outside of town within a short drive to many attractions. Our family enjoyed the stay. There was some remodeling being done, once complete, the cabin will be sure to impress even more so. The seating in the living room was a little cramped for the supposed capacity. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay and will definitely consider staying here again if we venture back to the area.

New Year's Eve family getaway

The house itself is very cute: the photos do not do it justice. The bedrooms on the main floor have plenty of space as does the living room and kitchen. Our family really enjoyed the quiet front porch with rockers and the swing. We used the downstairs space as well and the kids loved it. I don't think I appreciated the extent of the construction downstairs, but when it is completed it will make for a really great addition. Lindy is kind and went out of her way to make sure we had all of the information that we needed to enjoy our stay. We found plenty to do around Delonegha and neighboring towns. There are great options for hiking (and for elders to drive up to meet you at the top), Cavender's Creek Winery was really cozy and offered marshmallow roasting for the kiddos. We would definitely stay here again in the future.

"Girls" Getaway

This summer has been stressful for many people, but for two friends and I the combination of being working moms who also homechooled during a pandemic became overwhelming. We decided to get away for a weekend to recharge and booked a condo in Orange Beach, AL, only to have Hurricane Sally blow our plans out the window. Thankfully, this cabin was available on short notice and turned out to be just the quiet retreat we all needed. We enjoyed mornings on the porch with our coffee and spent the afternoons at local wineries. We felt very at home here, the kitchen had everything we needed for dinners in and the beds were warm and cozy. And Lindy was very helpful in sharing all the details we needed to get around.

Dahlonega house

Very nice, clean house with great location. But it’s time for a new mattress. With all of VRBO fees, too pricey. But Lindy has a very nice home and regardless of other reviews the garage/basement room is very nice. I think it would be a great place for teens to hang out.

I, Lindy am an OR nurse and a retired Air Force Major. My son, Jamie and daughter, Tori are graduates of North Ga College and Stratford Academy. I am from and live in Macon. I am a graduate of McEvoy High School, Macon Jr. College, & The Medical College of Ga with a BS in Nursing. I can be called at any time. VRBO has Tori's number if for any reason you cannot reach me. Your health & safety are of utmost concern to me.

Why they chose this property

My son, Jamie began in the corp of cadets at Nt Ga College in August 1998 whileI I was deployed to Saudi Arabia with the Air Force. My daughter & son shared 1 year of college together & both were in the corp. They both developed a love for the area & the college because of the life long friends they made. I bought the cabin when Tori was a Junior. She lived there with a roommate. After Tori's graduation both of my children wanted me to keep the house so they could go back. I originally bought the cabin so I would have a place to go between the parent association meetings, activities at the school, & a place to stay the night. I chose this house because it was a safe location convenient to the college for Tori to be able to travel back and forth several times a day as needed., I am in the backyard of Montaluce Winey on a wooded lot with glimpses of the Blue Ridge Mountains on 3 sides. The cabin provides a place of peace and tranquility close to nature. 10 can social distance with each person having their own sleeping space using 4beds, 2couches,1 futon couch, 1foam pad, 1 foam fold out chair,1 futon chair, 1foam mattress,1 recliner. The house has 2 bedrooms, front porch, deck, living room, full bath on the main level & downstairs bedroom ,full bath and bedroom downstairs & sitting room made in 1/2 the garage. Enhanced Cleaning, Self check-in, Safe & convenient location, modern & easy to find on 1 acre wooded lot with room under covered front porch for bicycle & motorcycle storage.make it a chosen place by many. Central H&A, fireplace, fire pit, gas & charcoal grills, full kitchen, small appliances,. Irons, ironing boards, steamer for wedding attire. Solar lights line driveway motion flood lights on back corner of the house activate when coming up driveway near house. Self checkin lock box located on the deck by the French doors. The house is very versatile. It is a total of 2000 sq ft. 1000 on each level. Comfortable for 1, Cozy for 2,-8. Sleeps 12

What makes this property unique

Our cabin has one flat ground level entrance on one side of the house at the deck unlike most mountain houses. The hospital located in Dahlonega with Emergency Room is less than 15 minutes from my cabin. There is a basement if ever needed for inclement weather. It is convenient by car to Dahlonega town square, University of North Ga., all wedding venues especially Montaluce, Juliette Chapel, & Vezalay. The cabin is convenient to get to, easy to find & can be reached by all paved roads. It is only 3 turns from Hwy 400. Safe location. solar lit driveway, House number on large sign at the driveway. Taxi service is available. by Mama's Taxi with reservation to anywhere to and from our cabin & is often used by guests for safety, convenience, and fun. Drivers can be scheduled for the day for winery tours or for just a single trip. Tell her I sent you.
The cabin is convenient to near by towns such as Helen, Cleveland, Dawsonville, Gainesville. Great for visits to UNG. Parents and students of the corp of cadets who have stayed love it for its proximity to the University & place of rest & relaxation away from the dorm with the conveniences of home when the student does not have time to travel home or lives too far to travel. Students say the WiFi is excellent even in the basement & those who have "worked from home" here love the opportunity to work while enjoying nature & the fresh mountain air. Visiting waterfalls & parks, hiking & biking during time. off from work can be a safe and fun activity during this pandemic
