Approximately a mile from the water, Shelby Chateau is a beautiful, three-bedroom, two-bathroom property near the white sands and stunning sunsets of Ocean Springs beaches, and only one block from the heart of the historic downtown Ocean Springs shopping/restaurant district. 

Shelby Chateau is the perfect place for a romantic weekend getaway or week-long vacations with the family. 

Loaded with amenities, you will find a clean, artistically decorated space with all the conveniences of home.

Shelby Chateau features a modern kitchen with stainless steel appliances including an oven/stove, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, toaster, blender, Keurig coffee maker, and all the utensils you will need for preparing meals on days you want to stay in the comforts of home, rather than eating out at the numerous Ocean Springs hot-spots.

The living room provides a comfortable place to lounge in front of the large flat-screen SmartTV, and there is a dedicated workspace for those needing to work during their stay. The neon sign on the wall with vintage phone and furniture makes a great backdrop for taking memorable pictures.  

In the Primary Bedroom, there is a King-size bed and a Smart TV for streaming, and the two guest bedrooms (one Queen bed & one Double) have Smart TVs as well.

There are two bathrooms, one with a combination shower/tub and the other has a large soaking tub.

The entire property is equipped with high-speed wireless Internet, plugs & charging stations for devices, and there is a new washer and dryer for guest use.

The enclosed front sun porch provides a space to relax, and there is covered space with seating out back in the fully enclosed fenced-in yard.

This is an adorable VRBO. Beds were comfortable. It was very clean, well stocked, and had a great yard. I’ll definitely stay here again next time I’m in town.

Five Stars – Truly Perfect for Our FamilyWe cannot say enough wonderful things about our stay at Shelby Chateau in Ocean Springs. The home was beautiful, clean, thoughtfully maintained, and in the absolute best location — close to the beach and just a short walk to downtown.What truly made this home special for us, though, was the layout. It was arranged in such a way that my ex-husband and I were both able to comfortably share space with our daughters and my son-in-law (who live on base) while still giving everyone privacy and breathing room. That balance can be hard to find, and this home made it effortless.We were in town celebrating a major milestone — our son-in-law’s Air Force graduation — and being able to gather under one roof meant everything to us. We cooked meals together, shared stories, and created memories that will last a lifetime.The home felt welcoming, functional, and full of light. It allowed our blended, military family to come together in a way that felt peaceful and easy — and that’s a gift.We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-located, family-friendly place in Ocean Springs.Thank you for helping make such a meaningful week even more special.

What a charming home, and a location that just can't be beat! We could walk to all of the amazing shops and restaurants in downtown Ocean Springs, and Front Beach was so close! Communication with the property managers was excellent, and they made check-in and check-out super easy. Would definitely stay here again!

Property was fantastic. The property host was very very good. The property was very clean. Everything worked. The rooms were roomy. It was quiet and restful and yet only a block away from everything. A perfect stay for the weekend.

We enjoyed our stay at Shelby Chateau it was a cozy home with everything we needed. The house was very spacious and plenty of fenced in yard for our pet and the location was near all the shopping and eating areas.

Holiday family getaway

The Shelby Chateau is the best place to be in Ocean Springs! It is a block or so from downtown where everything is happening and close to the beach. This place is extremely clean and cute. Also has a nice fenced in back yard for your fur baby.

Wonderful Stay and Property

We had a wonderful stay! The property was exactly as described – clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The host was incredibly responsive and accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed. Excellent weekend trip!

Our family took a weekend trip for Easter and this place was truly amazing! The house is beautiful and the yard is massive, which our dogs absolutely loved! The host was very communicative and accommodating and we had everything we possibly could have needed. It was a memorable weekend, and we would definitely recommend the Shelby Chateau to anyone looking for a getaway in Ocean Springs. I’m sure we’ll be back, too!

Awesome Hosts!

The home was great, decor was super cool as well. The location is perfect for Ocean Springs. It is a one block walk, on the sidewalk, to the main drag of Ocean Springs downtown. Getting over to Biloxi is 6 minutes. I could not be happier and will definitely be back to stay. Thank you guys.

Shelby’s Chateau

Great location at 1 block from town so we could walk. Kitchen was well equipped so we cooked some. A/C worked great and neighborhood was quiet so we slept well. It is close to train track and trains come regularly but a/c and sound machines help a lot. It has 2 bathrooms but one has a tub but no shower so we had to work through that. Large, fenced-in back yard was great for our grand-daughter

Girls weekend

We had a great time! There were 6 of and we had so much fun!! One block from all of the things that we wanted to do and see!! We had plenty of room and in the 3 bedrooms and the kitchen had everything we needed but our food! It was the perfect get away!!! We will be back!!

What a delight

The Shelby Chateau was just a perfect place to unwind for a few days. Charming home decorated with an artistic flair. Close to the beach and only one block from the railroad track. That worked well for us as we live in close proximity to the railroad. Fully furnished kitchen with all the essentials and full-size appliances. I like to cook, so we didn't go to the restaurants, but there are no shortage, quite a few within walking distance. Smart TV's and good internet. Home was immaculate and Chris the property manager was most attentive. Check in and check out were a breeze. If we are ever back that way again, this will be our choice for a home away from home. Hope you give it a try!

Cute house perfect location

We stayed for about a week in the property. It's a cute house and the location is perfect. It is about a block from the train tracks, but that was not a problem. The entire yard is fenced in which was great for our pup who liked to lay outside in the grass. There are 2 full bathrooms but one has only a bathtub so there is only 1 shower that we all used. It worked out fine for us. We were able to walk to downtown Ocean Springs, only a couple of blocks away, which was exactly what we were looking for. The sun room/porch gets quite hot in the summer, but so does everything there. I imagine in the cooler months it will be a perfect part of the house for hanging out. Overall we had a great family trip and enjoyed our stay at the Shelby Chateau.

Discrepancies

The house is a great location to be able to walk to downtown, it was stocked with everything we needed in the bathroom and kitchen except we could not find more toilet paper. It is very nice inside and was very comfortable with one major exception. It is advertised as 2 bathrooms, one a tub and walk in shower as well as a tub shower combo. There is NO walk in shower which was one of our requirements as two of our group cannot safely or without significant pain, access a step over shower. The deep tub is very nice for the right people, but because the water is so soft it is VERY slippery and desperately needs a safety rail and the stopper did not work, we had to put a bowl upside down to hold water in. The front porch is a nice area but the exterior of all the windows in the house are filthy and all of the bushes need trimming. You don’t have much of a view with weedy vines entangled in the bushes. Saturday night there was a termite crawling down the curtain in the master and one on the bathroom floor. In the middle of the night I woke up to a bug crawling on me. It was not a termite but I smashed it before I got into the light, not sure what it was. Not being able to text with the property manger lead to some problems with communication because of a glitch with my VRBO account. I received all the information except the door code which the site would not give me access to and I had to call the help line.

The house was great. It’s just as pictured. It was very clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. The location was wonderful. Just a few seconds and you can either be downtown or on the highway for a day of adventure. The fenced yard is really great for your pups. Overall, a really great place.
