June in Michigan

We enjoyed our stay. However, the place could use some TLC. The deck was really in need of cleaning and staining. The beds need to be replaced. Very uncomfortable and bedding very old. With some upgrades, it would be a great place to stay.

We had a great girls get-away weekend. Wonderful house right on Lake Michigan.

Lake week

The property is a perfect location and a fantastic view. The owner is wonderful, great communicator and it was a treat to have booked his property. Very thankful.

Private and nearly perfect

We enjoyed the privacy and the beautiful sandy beach. The house was in good shape and was decently equipped. A few small improvements and this rental would be absolutely perfect.

Perfect!

Your home was the perfect location and accommodations for our family vacation. The home was cozy, the beach was sandy and clean, and the view from the deck was perfect. We will definitely be back :)

New Year Vacation

This was the best choice we ever made. The house was beautiful and clean. The view was amazing.This was the best New Years ever. We recommend this house for vacation and for sure we will go back there.

Location location location!

We had a pleasant time at the cabin here. Unable to utilize the outside/deck due to midge fly hatch, this was unfortunate but chad was a very attentive and workable host! Location was great for all our Michigan adventures, house was roomy and spacious for our party of 8, would come back again!

Wonderful lake house

We were so happy with the Pte Aux Chenes house. We had 5 adults and 3 kids and had plenty of room. The weather was a little cooler, so we didn't spend a ton of time why the beach, but we really loved the firepit area. So peaceful and a perfect long weekend getaway. Thank you!

A great weekend experience and beautiful scenic view

Lower Michigan and mid Wisconsin family met in the middle! Beautiful cozy place to catch up with family, play some cards and indulge in some Old Fashioneds and Sangria! Gale force winds when we arrived and calm when we left. Cozy to sit inside and view beautiful Lake Michigan in some of its many phases. Would like to visit in the summertime! We all had a wonderful time.

Perfect!

We loved everything about this place (except the cabin water----definitely recommend bringing your own water!)! The layout of the cabin is wonderful, the furnishings/decor are sweet, the view is spectacular, the location and lot size are great! Really can't say anything negative. Wonderful place to get away & relax!

Beautiful surroundings. Lovely home. Easy access in the winter.

What a great place! Chad was very communicative to ensure we had a wonderful experience. The home is beautiful. Great views and right on the water. Our family enjoyed our strolls on the frozen beach. We drove to many UP sights within an hour or so of the home. Overall, it was a wonderful experience facilitated by a wonderful home to stay in and a wonderful owner.

Excellent getaway location

Very quiet the first weekend in November, an awesome time to be in the UP and your kids can't ask you to take them to all the tourist traps because they're all closed! Be sure to checkout St Ignace Sand Dunes Cross Country ski trail, this is less than 1/2 mile away and makes for an awesome nature hike that you can make as short as 2 miles or as long as 7.1 by walking everything. The house was fantastic, views are great and everything you need is provided.

Comfortable house with great views

Our group enjoyed our visit. The house was a good configuration for our group size and we could accommodate all of the members' restrictions with climbing stairs, etc. The beach access is the easiest that we have encountered in the various rentals we have had on Lake Michigan and that added to our enjoyment. It was a convenient locations for all of our day-trips around the eastern UP. The high ceilings, skylights and huge picture window in the living room provide spectacular views and a light and airy feeling.

Beautiful

It was located on Lake Michigan, at a perfect spot along the beach. Easy drive to the town of Saint Ignace for anything my family needed during our 6 night stay. It was clean and well stocked. The master bedroom had the most comfortable bed. Like a gigantic pillow. Best sleep I have ever had while on vacation. The TV had its own ideas of not working (I think it was trees obscuring the satellite) but we watched a movie that was in the cabinet and played games we brought with us. Overall, a very nice time.

Great location, wonderful views from the home, awesome beach, quiet and private during our stay.

We have been renting various homes for our annual vacation to the Great Lakes for several years now. We always look for a home that will be private and quiet, but is close enough to things to do that it isn't a hassle getting to them. This home fit the bill perfectly. 10 minutes from St Ignace/Mackinaw City. The home has great views of the lake, is comfortable and reasonably stocked with daily items you might need. The beach is awesome, hands down the best beach we have ever rented a home on in the UP. The location of the home was private and quiet while we were there. The owners were easy to reach and communicate with.

Lacks basic amenities, cleanliness issues and loads of bugs and insects lying around.

Although the cabin had a rustic charm and a nice walkout to the beach, the absence of WiFi and the abundance of mosquitoes made for a less than desirable experience for us. The cabin was lacking in cleanliness and in need of upgrades in the kitchen and bathroom. When asked about air conditioning, the owner informed us that there isn’t one as the cabin cools down in the night which is far from truth when the weather is warm and you can’t open windows for ventilation. Potential guests should be aware of these drawbacks before booking.

Loved the privacy

The house was everything we expected. beautiful, clean and perfectly placed just outside of town. It was just a short walk through the sand to a private beach that was perfect for the kids. We loved that we were able to have fires right on the beach. The only complaint that we had was that there was only one T.V. in the house, and not enough seating around it for everyone to sit and watch. We enjoyed our time at this house in The UP and would definitely recommend it in the future! Wisconsin

We feel that this location is perfect when planning that U.P. vacation to places like Mackinac Island, Tahquamenon Falls, Pictured Rocks, Soo Locks, and many more.
