The hosts are the sweetest couple in Elgin. The property is quiet and peaceful. Our girls had run of the grounds where they got to see cows, roadrunners, deer foxes and so many others. Beautiful place to get away to. The beds are sooooo comfy, even the bunks!
What an amazing cabin with privacy! Showed up after hunting with a group of guys. We grilled some steaks and sat outside with a fire. If you are looking for a great getaway with friends, family or alone this is it! Will definitely be going back!
Amazing retreat. Serenity, tranquility, with plenty of wildlife to enjoy. If you need to remove yourself from the city and regain peace and re-energize, this is the perfect place. A rustic cabin on a 168 acres...perfect. The only suggestion i have for people staying is to be sure to bring drinking water as the water on the property is well water and has a strong iron/sulpher smell. We were ok with it, but just a good to know. We loved the place and hope to return!
