Nestled on a small farm, cozy, nothing fancy, rustic on the outside but oh so comfortable and secure w/infrared heated front porch with deck furnished with retro gliding loveseats, spring chairs, and bistro tables. As the sun sets, the deer cross through the pasture and the geese fly so low between nearby ponds you can hear their wings. Breathtaking nights with the moon and stars, coyotes howling at the distant train whistles, owls hooting, and numerous bird calling. Have a cup of Joe in the morning watching the birds, rabbits, and squirrels in the yard. Retired racehorse Rex, and miniature donkeys, Wally and Beaver, wait for treats at the pasture fence. Hummingbirds eat right out of your hand. This hidden gem is truly a little piece of heaven.

Two Adjustable (raise your head, feet, or zero gravity position) XL twin size beds are great to watch the 50" satellite HDTV with premium channels. Couples push these beds together to make a king-size bed or individuals keep separate and enjoy getting in just the right position to experience the best night’s sleep they've ever had. The living room ethanol burning fireplace can be used year-round to add a touch of romance and down-home feeling. Let us know when you are arriving, we will have the fire going!

Gourmet galley kitchen has full-size appliances, service for 12+, everything needed to prepare the family meal. 12-cup coffee maker (not one of those 2-cup coffee makers at the surrounding hotels and motels) with free coffee, cream, decaffeinated coffee, bottled water, snacks, basic pantry items, and condiments. Continental breakfast foods are supplied. At this Bed 'n' Breakfast, you eat breakfast whenever you want without having to visit with the host!

The large walk-in closet has plenty of shelves and hanging space for your clothes. Hangers, ironing board and iron and clothes steamer. Brand new Washer/Dryer combo for washing your clothes! Detergent supplied.

Downstairs off the kitchen is a very small bedroom with an extra comfy XL twin size bed. Just the spot for the guest that wants to be out of view from the living room and wants to get a good night’s sleep that is close to the bathroom and kitchen for midnight snacks!

The spiral staircase takes you up to the loft bedroom with a king size bed, romantic lighting, a ceiling fan/light that is a replica of one found in the Hearst Castle Library and a small TV to watch the satellite from downstairs.

All beds have luxury, plush bedding, linens, and many pillows with a wide range of sizes and firmness. You will have the best night’s sleep you’ve ever had sleeping on linens scientifically designed to maintain a body’s temperature throughout the night.

Traveling executives or those who need a private, quiet place to work, is an L-shaped glass desk and ergonomic chair, task light, and basic office supplies. The office overlooks the wooded pasture, retired racehorse, miniature donkeys, and various wildlife including deer. This is just the place to get your thoughts together and get your work done.

The large bathroom has everything you can possibly need including fluffy towels, spa robes, toiletries, personal hygiene "stuff,” shaving cream and razors, hair dryer, curling irons, makeup remover and makeup brushes. A marble, glass top vanity table, stool, and a lighted vanity mirror to put your face on. The sink has an adjustable mirror over it for shaving and fixing your hair. Shower/tub combo has mineral salts and oils to soak your aches and pains away. Bladeless fan for cooling and heating.

Cabin sleeps up to 6 comfortably. Add air mattresses if you want to pack in 6+ more guests for those party animals. A large window unit downstairs cools and heats the entire Cabin & an additional small window unit upstairs. Alarm clock plays calming sounds to fall asleep to. Special lighting throughout the Cabin. DVD player to watch your DVDs or the Cabin has a few DVDs for your viewing. Guests have access to free Wi-Fi. There is a keyless entry door to access the Cabin so you never have to see the homeowner if you do not want to.

For your safety, the protection of your vehicle, boat, and equipment there are two fire extinguishers, smoke alarms, and FOUR MONITORED SECURITY CAMERAS. This place is set up especially for the Pro Angler in mind or those travelers who appreciate worry-free lodging. Located 2 miles east of Lake Ray Roberts Isle du Bois State Park where there are numerous events going on year round. Ray Roberts is known for its Bass fishing. Let us refer you to the best fishing guide in the area. (Discounts are given to guests referred by Jim Walling's Ucatchemguideservice). Enjoy a day out on the lake fishing, water skiing, and boating, canoeing, kayaking, jet skiing, or swimming. The North Texas Greenbelt is right off of Isle du Bois State Park for walking, mountain biking, equestrian trails, and going down the river right below the dam.

Families like to get out of their city house and come out to play, hike through the wooded pasture, learn about nature or play on huge boulders out in the pasture during the day. At night, kids love to explore the outside with headlamps and flashlights. Bring your tent and pitch it right next to the Fire Pit. Mom and Dad leave your kids with the Grandparents and get away for your much-deserved weekend. On the other hand, Grandparents, steal away from everyone and everything!

There are no signs out front advertising so it is the perfect place for a secret rendezvous.

Groups like spending the weekend to get away from it all or use it as a place for Bachelor or Bachelorette, after Prom, girls night out, or birthday parties.

Outside is one of the biggest hits - the FIRE PIT! Everyone just loves sitting around the fire, roasting hot dogs and marshmallows or grilling steaks and hamburgers. There are lawn chairs and lawn blankets for sitting around the Fire Pit. Firewood is supplied. For the city slickers, there is a Charcoal BBQ grill w/all utensils & pots & pans for grilling.

Wedding venue to have an intimate wedding with a few friends & family. Choose the vine-covered trellis, pasture with huge boulders, or under one-hundred-plus-year-old oak trees. Reception on Cabin's yard. (See Discounts under Rates.)
