Welkom bij Moonshadow Retreat. Ik ben zo opgewonden om mijn Mercer Lakefront-huis met jou, je familie en vrienden te delen.

Dit was voorheen bekend als Sammy's Cabin, dus als je hier in het verleden bent gebleven, weet je dat het een geweldig huis was. Moonshadow Retreat is echter een fantastisch huis op Mercer Lake.

Ik heb het meubilair bijgewerkt, de keuken, de voorraadkast en de badkamers aangevuld. Nieuw woonkamermeubilair en tapijt zijn gearriveerd. Tapijt is zo zacht op je blote voeten en de bank doet je gewoon opkrullen en tot rust komen! Er is nu een flatscreen-tv in de woonkamer en de 2e slaapkamer heeft ook een eigen tv / dvd.

In de zomer- / herfstmaanden heb je geen tijd om zelfs maar tv te willen kijken, je wilt op het grote dek staan, aanleggen, in of aan het meer, in het bubbelbad of vissen in de meegeleverde waterfiets.

Er zijn 2 fietsen en helmen voor uw plezier.

De hot tub is geweldig met uitzicht op het meer.

Ik heb net een kruidentuin geplant, waardoor koken veel leuker en lekkerder is! Ik hoop dat gasten zo nodig water zullen geven tijdens je verblijf.

Grote ramen in de woonkamer en keuken, met Mercer Lake en uitzicht op het bos.

'Moonshadow Memory Wall' verschijnt binnenkort. Alle gasten worden aangemoedigd om hier maximaal 5 foto's van hun bezoek in te mailen. De afbeeldingen worden dan aan de muur toegevoegd.

Mercer Lake is geweldig om te zwemmen, varen, jetskiën, waterskiën, kanoën, kajakken en vissen. Mijn eerste weekend dat ik hier verbleef, waren er 2 Amerikaanse zeearenden die de hele dag rondhingen. Moonshadow Retreat ligt in een rustige baai aan het Mercer-meer, dus het is heel veilig om te zwemmen en zweven.

Pedaalboot is hier !!! Lol LOL LOL! Er zijn 4 volwassen zwemvesten beschikbaar, maar neem deze zelf mee voor kinderen of als andere maten nodig zijn.

What a great place to stay! It was perfect for us.

I brought my neice who was visiting from Alaska and my 5 year old great granddaughter. We had a great time fishing playing going to Florence. I can't wait to come back. Very cozy clean. with everything you will need. Than you! from Alaska

Relaxing home on a lovely lake with great amenities

Great location with good parking. The house was very clean and comfortable for 4 adults and 2 kids.. We enjoyed the well maintained hot tub, private dock. The kayaks and SUP were appreciated.The deck and yard were lovely. We didn't use the fire pit or BBQ or paddle boat. We'd love to return!

Beautiful lakefront water fun family vacation

Wonderful place! The house is on a little quiet (5 mph) cove of the lake that has about a dozen homes. While the neighbors are close, there were very few around when we were there on a beautiful August weekend, and the cove was very quiet (except for us, maybe). The 10 and 12-year-old boys loved the loft bedroom (doorless), accessible by a winding metal staircase in the high-ceilinged living room. They also caught (and released) many perch and a few sunfish, and we all enjoyed the swimming, kayaking, peddle boat, and standup paddleboard on the lake, and the hot tub and expansive deck. The lake is somewhat weedy, but was deep enough that we never noticed weeds while swimming. Anglers would sometimes snag weeds. Lake was deep enough to jump off the dock. We never got around to smores in the firepit or the grill--too litte time! Easy access to town and dunes. The house is on a quiet little peninsula with a loop road that can be walked in about 10 or 15 minutes. Property manager was very responsive, helpful and professional, though we didn't really need much. There was a great notebook of local information. Verizon service was fine except for occasional places on the road approach where it drops out. Layout is good for two couples--a master suite with bath, and another small queen room. A 3/4 bath is tucked between the queen room and the kitchen. Watching meteor showers on the dock was a highlight. Some type of shade/umbrella on the dock would have been nice. We'll be back!

Overall a nice home

The main living area is as described. Kitchen was well stocked. Coffee maker is a Keurig - solo or full pot. Plenty of movies and games. Small bedroom has zero storage. No closet; no dresser. Master bedroom has tons of space, including a walk-in closet. Master bath ceiling could stand to be cleaned. Questionable black spots. Lots of storage! Back deck - if you're an arachnophobe, be prepared. We counted no less than 35 spiders on our first night, under the gutter eaves. Swept them down. The next morning there were 15 replacements. It rained during most of our stay so we didn't get to enjoy the backyard, hot tub or dock, but that was our choice. We did enjoy the view of the lake. Very calm & quiet. Would definitely stay again, maybe a little earlier in the year when it's warmer outside, but we were warm & cozy inside! :)

Very nice cozy house

Loved our stay! Played games with our son, soaked in the hot tub, went kayaking, tried out the paddle boat. Everything was perfect. we all played and relaxed and were very comfortable.

Loving Life by the Lake!

Well apportioned home by a beautiful and peaceful lake, with every comfort possible! Spacious and clean, this home offers plenty of lawn and deck space for friends and family. I enjoyed the pedal boat, and the dock is fun to hang on. Had the best time walking around the lake each day, and loving mornings looking at the fog rise off the water. Being so close to the Florence Beach, downtown and restaurants, is a plus...but, I liked just, enjoying homemade meals crafted in a Kitchen, full of amenities. Appreciated, ( Leslie) Property Mgmt aiding with local info, and fast response ! Thank You, for creating a wonderful environment for folks to enjoy the best, of Mercer Lake!

Enjoyable for its purpose

We stayed here with our 16 year old daughter and her two friends. It suited our purpose for the days we were there. However, we felt that we were house-sitting more than staying at a vacation property, maybe because we stayed during the off season? There were a lot of things just...off with the house, especially if you come with a large group i.e. lack of storage space for luggage. The house is also a little run down and comes with a lot of rules. It's also super close to the neighbors--one decided to cut wood at 1:30am, another spent the weekend renovating. Just be warned.

Relaxing lake house

Cute and cozy house right on the lake with dock and hot tub. This was the perfect little getaway for our family just looking to relax. The private dock was great to launch our kayaks and nice when we rented a boat for some fishing. The water was like glass with beautiful mirror images of the trees. House was a few minute drive to town with nice people everywhere we went!

We love this house

Love Mercer Lake and love this house, have stayed here several times. Always comfortable and welcoming. We were disappointed this trip that the pellet stove was out of order and the warm comforters had been taken off the beds as it was a chilly March weekend.

Family Trip

I rented Moonshadow for the weekend for my fiancé’s birthday, we had the kids with us and had the most relaxing time together away from home. The house was really nice and waking up to the view of the lake first thing in the morning was breathtaking. We were able to enjoy a fire in the fire pit at night after relaxing in the hot tub. The next time we are able to take a trip like this again we will be returning back to Moonshadow.

Stay or go play

Great home for staying put- just relax, play a game, or go pedal the lake. Close enough to go explore Florence or the sea lion cave. Great host, checked in and was available by phone if any issues came up.

Fun place to work virtually from

Our Verizon cells got service there and the wifi was easy to connect too. The hot tub was great and the kitchen had what we needed. A great place and we will be back.

not quite ON the lake

The interior of the cabin was everything we hoped for, but the exterior needed some attention: cobwebs on the windows, wood surfaces needing care, raked weeds piled in a corner. Our biggest disappointment was the difficulty getting our kayaks down to the lake and back up to our vehicle. the photos in the website gave us the impression it would be much easier. Perhaps a note on the website might have warned us.
