About the host
Hosted by Catherine Pearson

I have lived in the Jacksonville Beaches since 2009. I have also lived in the Philadelphia area, Atlanta, and Gainesville, FL. I think that Jacksonville Beach is a great place to live and to visit! My first experience here was when a friend moved here after we graduated school, and I was amazed at the laid-back, fun-loving, tight-knit beach community.
Why they chose this property
Our Peach House is on my favorite street at the beach with a palm tree-lined median. After taking the long way home for a couple years so that I could drive down it, I decided to get a house and open an Airbnb! We formerly had an Airbnb in the historic part of Jacksonville, but I was frustrated that I couldn't be closer to the house and guests. Now I am only about 1 mile away from the beach house!
What makes this property unique
I feel very invested in my guests' experiences at my house because it means so much to them, not just for my own books. I have an extreme commitment to cleanliness, particularly for bedding. I don't think there are many rentals available out there that will wash every last blanket and even the extra blankets, but I am so happy to be doing that. All bedding is cleaned, and the extra bedding and pillows in the closets are tied up and marked "fresh and clean!" There are a lot of vacation rentals available in the Jacksonville Beaches, and I am not able to offer an ocean view, but I hope to be the next best thing.
