Great house

Nice place — it has everything you need: a well-organized kitchen, top-quality grills, a beautiful outdoor space with a huge fire pit, and even entertainment for kids. Our friends and we had a great time there. The only thing I suggest to future guests is to check with the host about driving directions (just as they recommend). Some members of our group had no problem getting there using GPS, but others weren’t as lucky, as it gave them the wrong directions.

Unplug and unwind

The property was an amazing getaway for the weekend. We had family and friends here for a wedding in the area and I stumbled across this listing. The property is down a dirt/sand road that is pretty well maintained in the middle of the woods so I wouldnt take a motorcycle here. But most cars should be fine. The property itself had almost every amenity you could think of, from cooking utensils, grills, smokers, blenders and every kitchen gadget in between. The fire pit was perfect for some cold nights that we were there, as well as the hot tub. The only downfall/ plus side was that the internet wasnt working that well when we went but It was a perfect getaway for the weekend and we will definitely be back one day!

Beautiful setting for relaxation and bonding

My son and his two best friends are seniors in high school and all of us parents are best friends too, so we decided to enjoy some time together before they all head off to college. The property is beautifully arranged, well built, and picturesque. We loved the red brick, the oversized fire pit with generous stacks of wood ready to go, the large comfortable seating areas, and the well-stocked kitchen and various grills which made it easy to make large amounts of food for our group. The karaoke machine provided some hilarious entertainment. The driveway was perfect for playing corn hole and can jam, and we hiked down to the Satilla River several times. The first bridge was crossable, but the second bridge was under water so be sure to bring water shoes so you can make it across. We used the hot tub several times which felt great on chilly nights. Perhaps the only draw back is that the cabin containing three of the bedrooms does not have a full bathroom in it, so you have to walk across the compound to the stand alone bathroom in order to shower which wasn’t a big deal for us. It’s worth noting that there is literally nothing to do close by the property, not even a decent grocery store, so bring everything you need with you. We had one issue with the master shower and a repairman was out fixing it within 45 minutes of messaging Shelby. Great communication and responsiveness! This place is truly perfect for unwinding and spending quality time together.
